《The Rude Time Stopper》Chapter 130 Deep Wounds

-Take this please...it is a state badge a very high ranking one at that too and will most likely come in handy if you want to go through places without any problems...you don't need to give it back since it will expire after a month anyways and until then I am sure that it will be helpful towards you and a quick reminded be sure to travel east that is where the capital is located at you will see a straight follow it and I am sure that you will get where you need to be.....thank you again for earlier by the way
Harlin said bowing her head to me in a grateful manner a bit frightened by me from my vicious way of killing, but I didn't mind and just returned the bow with a small forced smile.
I was already very tired and didn't even take a second to look at the badge simply taking it away from harlin's hand and quickly pocketing it inside my chest.
The inside of the building turned a bit more quieter the bandits had left long since scared from the way I had easily turned their petty leader into a pile of mince meat,in all honesty even I think that it was a bit too much there was no real need to actually turn him into mince meat I could have just cut his head off,but at the same time it served pretty well as a display of power and intimidation making half of the bandits vomit, but thats also okay.
-Thanks for your help ms.harlin...
-No,its nothing I should be grateful actually since you stopped a very big disaster from happening today...if you ever visit us again be sure to call me if you need anything
Harlin said humbly her attitude had very quickly turned since she saw me do something very illogical not that I disliked it rather I didn't care.
-Scar lets move...
I said turning around to glance at the no-good wannabe assassin, she was slightly pale from the previous encounter we had looking at me with a wryly smile as she nodded her head and started following me closely.
Kashmar also stood not too far off behind his master his face wasn't pale, but rather very green as if he was about to vomit himself he didn't meet eyes with me anymore which I could understand and felt a bit sorry for,but also didn't mind all too much since it was indeed my own fault.
The transportation circle in this place was very different from the one in my world it had different symbols and writing, but was still a circle nothing changed at the aspect, looking at it I only dreaded the prospect of the later after effects of the circle that may hit me after getting to the other side.
I felt momentarily regretful and sad while looking at the circle,I couldn't go home for the moment, but I wasn't discouraged even if it takes me a long while I will go back home at some point...
Giving myself small amount of hope I glanced at the anxious scar by my side from today on she would accompany me until her services were over,I didn't decide on her payment just yet,but I wasn't going to worry about it either so there wasn't any problem.

The only thing I was worried about was how I would interact with her, staying quiet is what I did most of the time, but 2 days was a lot of time...
The thought only lingered for about a few seconds until I turned back to harlin again, she was concentrating and chanting under her breath as intense amount of mana concentrated in her hands.
-Will...will this hurt ?
Scar asked a bit pale, her question made me laugh for a moment as I looked at her comical.
-Most probably
She gaped hearing my answer swallowing and sweating for a moment wanted to say something, but just as she was about to do that a bright light enveloped both of us turning the world around us blank for a few moments.
=========================================
Just as the the world turned blank it also came back at the very moment my eyes were very blurry and my senses weakened, but surprisingly enough..
I didn't have a headache...my senses were disoriented at the moment, but I didn't feel the usual pain that would surge through my brain like every time I used this circle in the past...maybe this is somehow different not that I want to know of course.
I raised my head for a moment trying to focus myself and see where we were currently scar was standing beside me wobbling around holding her head her knees looked a bit weak so I quickly grabbed onto her shoulder so she wouldn't fall down.
-Ohh...my head...its spinning it really hurts
Scar wailed a painful look on her face as I observed her,her hair was covering half of her face swaying to the side every time she took a step to the side my eyes were fixated on her and my hands gripped on her shoulders so she wouldn't fall and hurt herself...just as I was staring at her something weird happened just for a split second I could see hestia's face reflecting in scar's look it was weird and made me feel funny fortunately it was only for a split second...
I really need some rest...
I figured, since I was already starting seeing things,I thought that I could wait until midnight and then have some sleep, but will it really be that easy ? Maybe I shouldn't force myself that often.
I thought while keeping support for the weak scar,my senses started to come back to me through them I could feel that we weren't alone in this room,it was very dim in here, but the circled glowed under our feet lightened up most of the room.
I turned my head to the right my golden eyes shone faintly flickering even, but the light inside these eyes was so faint that no,one would notice them anyways at least for the person who was staring at us right now.
-Excuse me...you are ?
The man asked raising his staff for a moment as he lightened up the room some more getting a better look at us,the man and I crossed eyes for a few seconds.
I didn't wait or explain myself and just pulled out the state badge I had gotten from harlin, the man observed my every move warily he didn't seem to expect to have someone come out of the circle and I am guessing that this building is something similar to the magicians association just located in a different city though.

With the badge in hand I raised it up while holding it inside my palm the man looked at the badge his expression never changed from his observant collected self and only analyzed the badge until he nodded approvingly.
-Do I need to know why you are here ?
He asked, his voice was detached weird really since his appearance made me think that he was dead for some reason you wouldn't know the difference if you didn't look at his lack luster eyes of his.
Anyways hearing his question I simply shook my head and said.
-No,I am here for private reasons my partner and I are going to leave, can you show me a place where I can buy a ride and the direction to the east gate ?
The guy thought for a few seconds considering what to say until he sighed and nodded his head to me.
-Please follow me honored magister...
The man spoke respectfully he didn't seem like a person who questioned everything,he probably even guessed already that I was a bit too young to hold this badge, but he was still not going to call me on it since he also didn't want to be involved in anything a lucky encounter actually...
-Hey you okay ?
I asked scar she had breathing a bit roughly for a few minutes now,the transportation circle didn't have a too big effect on me,but it seemed like it was a different story to scar who was acting as if the world around her had just been wrecked around.
-I...I am not sure...but I think I am going to be okay...you didn't lie when you said it would hurt...
Scar said a bit bitter while looking at me almost blaming me with her eyes, since she said that she was okay I didn't need to worry anymore and just told her that we had arrived in the city.
-Wow...really ? That fast...aren't we still in the same room ?
Scar said a bit doubtful getting a portion of her senses back as she examined the room in which we were in currently, she actually very right on this point the room we were in looked exactly the same as the one we had departed from, but that wasn't anything to be worried about since I assumed that every magicians association should basically have the same building including the rooms such as these.
-Lets move already,I don't want to waste time..
I said looking at my surroundings anymore as I concentrated on my task once again,we couldn't afford to lose a minute right now.
Scar also didn't stand there anymore and quickly followed me just as we were about to step out of the room, scar suddenly grabbed my right wrist stopping me in my tracks.
Her action puzzled me for a moment as I turned around to see what was wrong, looking at her I could see that her expression had turned awfully serious her eyes were fixated on my back for some reason.
-You...your bleeding...
She said aghast touching my back with her finger for a moment,I felt her finger poking my back and just as I felt it a sharp wave of pain spread through my entire body,I didn't flinch nor did I make a sound and instead froze in place...I didn't even notice that I was bleeding..
Scar continued and showed me the trace of blood that was covering her finger, the look she had while showing me the blood was harsh and almost scolding even.
-You...you really need to see a doctor if you continue on you'll could die do you even understand that ?
She said her face showing concern, but I kept my face blank not really shocked or stunned by the trace of blood on her finger instead I snapped my finger and rewinded the time of clothing, the deep splatter of blood that was on my back started to disappear,I could feel the blood literally flow back into me,the sensation was weird.
Scar observed me while I was doing that very surprised that the blood was disappearing from my back.
-See good as new...
I said smiling at her a bit thankful for the concern she gave to me,scar was momentarily stunned because of my charming smile almost forgetting what she wanted to say until it was too late as I started to move without her, following the guy through the corridors.
Throughout this walk scar had her eyes entirely fixed on me she seemed very suspicious of me,but didn't say what the issue was of course, instead she started sparking a few questions and conversation towards the guy in front of us or our guide so to say.
-I haven't heard much of karena city,I only ever heard that it had one of the highest forces compared to the rest of the cities mister ?
Hearing scar the guy momentarily stopped and glanced at her with his detached lack luster eyes,he did this for only a split second until he continued moving again, scar was a bit perplexed about this weird action, but didn't say anything.
-hmm...my name is varen and I am the grandmaster of the karena magicians association, what you say is true our city mainly only consists of adventurers and mercenary groups that seek jobs from the guilds or other clients, even my association complete such tasks to finance ourselves and spread our name through the empire for more jobs we aren't very well known since we don't do much trading or have any significant historical value
The guy replied now hearing his voice scar showed a very confused look on her face she seemed to have only now realized the odd thing about the man in front of us and decided to stop questioning him and quietly follow outside.
After a few minutes of walking we finally reached the outside,it was very different from iron works city since in this town almost every person had a weapon attached to their belt or back.

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

Little Devil
Samael has lived her entire life in what most people would call Hell... because it is! Fire, brimstone, demons, orgies of sins, pitchforks, and tortured souls—all that good stuff. But Samael is clueless about any of that. Her time was spent in the deepest reaches of Tartarus, living as a wandering hermit with her devil father and the occasional visit of a naggy angel aunt. Meanwhile, Sophia lives a peaceful life as a young priestess on a sacred island, mostly ignored by the world at large. However, as her day is taking a turn for the absolute worst, an unexpected ally will stumble into her path and completely turn her peaceful existence over its head.
