It was cold and windy i could hear thunder striking and rain dropping down showering me with cold droplets of rain...i slowly opened my eyes greeted by the grey thundering sky i slowly started to get up on my feet.

I looked around but there was no one in sight i raised my hand to inspect and noticed that it was completely fine the once torturous pain that i had experience couple minutes or hours go were gone and with them the injuries...i willed my magic around me to see if anything was wrong and noticed that something like a green core had been grown inside my chest radiating green light..i tried to pull it out and while i was trying to do so i suddenly felt insane pain forcing me to kneel down and clench my chest...pulling seems to be a no go...

I once again stood up from my place and started walking away...she was gone...no,not gone she left she said we would meet again and told me to trust her...i will try

With that thought i dismissed everything and continued walking in sadness the green core inside of my body was strange it gave me enhanced awareness and strength my magic reserves were also tripled giving me a higher control over the shadow element to use spells but over all i knew that wasn't everything to it even thought i wasn't fully able to pull it out i was able to attract it somewhat meaning i could use it for what ? who knows.

My body was drenched from all the rain but i didn't care anymore as i walked towards artemise's hut which was destroyed and burned down i couldn't find anything to take as a memento and decided to leave everything how it was and continue on and as i started walking i suddenly remembered something very important...the little one !

Realizing my mistakes i quickly started sprinting towards the cave using some of my haste spells to accelerate i quickly arrived where the cave was.

-LITTLE ONE !

I screamed into the cave as started entering it but there was no answer no reply to my shout and i started to sweat out of fear i could tell the rain was about to turn into a storm as the thunder raged and the rain poured down buckets after buckets...where did she go ? deeper into the cave ? or did she go out and search ? DAMN IT ALL

I screamed in my mind as i shouted again.

-LITTLE ONE WHERE ARE YOU !

But to no avail there was not reply only the cold rustling wind carrying the droplets of rain that was falling down into my shoulders...despair started to well up inside of me...it was the first time i had lost so much being alone isn't always great loneliness can be man kinds greatest enemy even for someone like me a demon who was made out of evil itself has no exception to it...

-mister ?

I flinched for a second...there was a voice a soft and sweet voice i looked up very slowly to see a girl with blonde hair holding a stuffed doll her sky blue eyes shined at me as a smile crept onto my face dissolving all of the despair i had felt i got up and approach her embracing her in my arms...i was really dumb she was sitting behind a rock...

I sniffed my nose while leaning onto the cold stone wall the outside was pouring down with rain and my top was hung onto the rock to dry sitting next to me was the little girl warming up from the fire that i had made couple minutes ago we sat down waiting for the storm to end.

We were quiet looking into the bristling fire...i was thinking about all the things that had happened over the past 2 weeks how only 2 weeks had changed me so much compared to 17 years of my life...

-Did you meet your friend ?

She asked while looking into the fire...i smiled for a second remembering the short days we had together and told her.

-Yes,but meeting her again will be hard sorry you didn't get to meet her..

-Why ?

She asked having no clue what happened neither did i have any clue what just happened and honestly i didn't care i only wanted to wait and see her again that was it.

-Its complicated...

I said with a wry smile...

-Did she leave to the same place where brother left ?

I was wide-eyed for a second and looked at her...yeah right she didn't understand what death was so i just patted her head and said.

-No,she promised she will come back until then we should wait together for her and by the way i think i have some dried meat over here how about we eat something ?

The little girl nodded happily forgetting all about the conversation we just had honestly i didn't want to think about it and changing the topic was better than remembering it over again i would just need to be patient and thats all and until then i will take care of her and we will see how things will go...

It took 2 days for the storm to end the little girl and i waited inside the cave talking to each other in her comical view we still weren't friends even thought we shared meals and cuddled up together meaning i still didn't know her name but soon i didn't care anymore and just continued to call her "the little one" or "dolly" because of her doll she never separated from,later on i found out the doll was a present from her brother so she cherished it and also repaired it a couple times i even helped her to procure some wool for it and like that we continued our journey together through the world...the amount of money that i had on my body was at the time a lot enabling us to live everyday as well as we could without doing anything of course i took a sharp eye on our expenses and didn't try to go over budget and mostly staying at normal inns,eating food and buying everyday necessities such as soap,salve and some spices for food clothing wasn't a problem either because we traveled around a lot i had to more then once tell people my name ending up disclosing my name to her even thought she judged we weren't friends she still called me by my name.I also taught her close-combat fighting and fencing combining it with foot work practice she was able to beat up small boys in the alley ways using her practice wooden dagger and her fist at the time when i saw her fight them i didn't try to interfere and wanted to see if she had some talent and it proved she had talent and was able to mercilessly defeat her opponents without a scratch and take their money...

At the time i didn't know what to do with her because i knew soon when i would turn 18 i would be summoned to the demon court to participate in the great war my skills promised me a high authority position in the demon army and leaving "the little one" behind with nothing else but money seemed really bad so at that moment i decided to train her to become a assassin and a shadow mage.

Since the day i started traveling with her i never really told her that i was the one who had killed her brother since we started to travel we more then once got ambushed by bandits which weren't really a problem for me to take care of but since then she understood the meaning of death when i impaled them with my dagger it gave her some nightmares but also steeled her further in the training and after 1 year we were in a city called "ravin" today was the day i would be summoned to the demon court.

I looked out of the window morning was coming and "the little one" was still sleeping in my bed..over the night she had sneakily got in next to me her footwork had really improved for me to not have noticed she was coming at me i was really proud of her in a way but i was also very anxious of the future that was about to come for her.

I was sitting in front of a wooden table and in my hand i was holding a black ominous dagger with demonic runes engraved on them these runes were catalysts for demonic essence which could turn a human into a demon giving them strength and immortality the characteristics of the demon this dagger was evoked with was me not as strong as i am but close to it giving a lot of room for improvements depending on the person who will get evoked with it and i was going to give this to "the little one" the reason you want to know ?

Its because i didn't see much concerning her future i was worried and the only thing that i could think of was giving her this dagger it would be her choice to get evoked into a demon or live as a human i already taught her a lot the rest she would need to learn herself...i looked out of the window again only a few minutes until the sun was fully up and i would be gone i had already prepared a letter on the desk instruction written on them for everything she may need in the future i also added some personal advice too...

-Little one its time to wake up come on today is your big day !

I said to her making her open her eyes very so slightly...she raised her body and started to massage her eyes looking at me.

-ughh leraje why are you up so early..don't you sleep until 3 o'clock ?

I made a wry smile and pulled out the photo locket that once belonged to her brother opening it i threw it towards her.

-What is this ? wait this is...

She looked at the photo locket confused and astound at the same time.

She was shocked when she heard what i just said shaking her head she turned to me.

Her eyes got wide when realization dawned onto her.

I guessed making her flinch even more she shook her head once again and i could see denial flashing in her eyes as she clenched the locket in her hands get out of the bed she started to approach me slowly looking at my back shivering.

-Why...why did you do this ?

She asked her voice was full of sadness and accusation it almost broke my heart.

-To escape of course as i told you a assassin leaves behind clean if you don't....

-NO

She roared at me shutting me up.

-I AM ASKING YOU WHY DID YOU EVEN TAKE ME !

She screamed as tear drops started to fall down her white cheeks her voice was cracking up too from the yelling.I thought for a second about her question and soon realized that i never had any intention of taking her it was just a impulse it was the spur of the moment that made me take her with me or maybe it was because i felt lonely subconsciously or i felt guilty to have deprived her of the one thing that brought her happiness and i wanted to bring her to someone who brought me the happiness i desired...in the end we both were just licking each others wounds weren't we ?

-I don't know

It was a true and honest answer that i had i really didn't know.

With a hard hit she punched me to the back followed by another one and another one each time the hit got weaker and weaker until she leaned onto my chest crying and tears started soak onto my back.

-Little one the world is big and you will see many hardships more destructive then this one you will lose people you were close with and experience betrayal like you did today so heed my words shield your heart and temper it with your anger and frustration but don't be blinded by your temper find someone worthy of your attention.You can hate me for everything you want so please remember my words remember me.

She said in confusion and i could also see smoke was emitting from my body slowly dissolving it,it was about time it seems.

I asked her as my body was quickly dissolving into nothingness she was frantic and didn't know what to do as more teardrops started fall down her eyes she started quickly pull me over grab me push me away but nothing was of use and in the end she kneel'ed next to me continuing to cry...she wasn't going to answer i thought.

-LENA ! ITS LENA MY NAME IS LENA HELLBORNE

I smiled for a second...lena a really suitable name for her wasn't it ?

And with that my conscious also started to disappear about to be transported but before i left i could hear one last sentence from her.

-I will find you leraje...and i won't let you go you will pay for my brother by staying by my side forever so expect me in the near future don't forget about me and believe me when i say i will find you no matter what !

It was really a terrific thing to hear from a little girl but i couldn't reply and like that i was send to the demon realm positioned as commander i served for hundreds of years,i would think of my past sometimes waiting for some day leaving this place and one day i got an idea when our troops were losing i had the idea of using myself as sacrifice to be used as a summoned piece to leave but i miscalculated and ended up in the clavicula being summoned by dawn in the end i thought my story was truly finished but no it was only the beginning.
