《Hero? I'm assassin, but that's the same right?》Chapter 32. Life amongst arachnees.

As it was really annoying, I decided to leave everything to my minions and Nora, while I had gone on the caverns, it's much better than hearing that annoying nympho complaining about everything.

First I visited workshop, or whatever it is. I was met by arachnee in apron, without anything else... well I wish it was so, but she was wearing some sort of heavy leather armor. Where are the good old days where I could read some LN or WN with slightly perverted women of different species? For now I only met one such pervert and created one more, so... maybe it's not as bad as I think it is? Maybe I also need to find some 'onee-sama' like Ken? Nah, who am I kidding? I'll get annoyed on the next day.

Arachnee-smith: “What are you looking at?” oh, I think I stared at... wait I'm staring at forge.

Pyro: “Dunno. I think it's forge.” it's the same medieval stuff you could see on those reenactor coupling... I mean exhibition... gathering... yeah orgy, or whatever it was called. I mean who in their right mind... wait, no that's comic-cons. There was a bunch of perverts... well I was amongst them few times, but it was mostly to assassinate someone, out of over dozen participations, I only was there twice without contract, mostly because of some new and interesting game. Well I could have just asked beholders to hack the company with interesting game, but... let's say it wasn't worth it. I still feel guilty about Half-life 3...

A-S: “It IS a forge. You wanted something?” did I want... oh yeah, tourism.

Pyro: “Do you have mithril, orichalcum, adamantine or demonite?”

A-S: “No, only bronze and iron.”

Pyro: “Why?”

A-S: “Need better furnace for making steel and other stuff.”

Pyro: “So you don't have a furnace?”

A-S: “No, we have one, but it's rather ineffective.” oh man... I need to make one... or steal. Yeah I better steal it somewhere. “But for better furnace we need better materials, and to make better materials we need better furnace.” oh so I can give them some materials and... wait a minute, why does it sound like some half-assed game? Go there, take that, bring here, and make it? Now thinking about it, those games actually managed to show the truth about fantasy...

Pyro: “What materials do you need?”

A-S: “I need blast rocks, steel, fire and water crystals. Also it would be good to have water and fire sprites for the forge, so we wouldn't need the coal. We use mostly magic, but only five of us can use fire magic, and around 20 water.”

Pyro: “What about earth? Oh and what are the common affinities of arachees?”

A-S: “Including me it's around tenth of arachnees. Common affinities are earth, darkness and shadow, to a lesser degree nature and blood.” YAY! Vampires! “My affinities are fire and earth.”

Pyro: “Cool, smith of fire and brimstone. Oh how much of materials do you need?”

A-S: “We have enough blast rocks, but we need around ton of steel, at least ten fire crystals of average quality, same with water ones.” What do I have in storage? It was around ten tons of steel, I don't have rocks, but crystals... fire crystals of high quality are around thirty, while water around ten...

Pyro: “If it's better quality crystals, how much would you need?”

A-S: “Equal quantity and quality. No less than ten.”

Pyro: “Can they be mixed?”

A-S: “Yes, but if you have equal amounts then-”

Pyro: “Mana crystals?”

A-S: “If you can spare some... wait are you saying that-”

Pyro: “Yep, I have all of the materials. Where do I put them?”

A-S: “Funny. I would believe about crystals, but about steel? Where do you store it?” I got the pouch I carry with me, transfered from my inventory steel and-

Pyro: “I got it all right here.” and gave her the pouch.

A-S: “And how-” and her jaw dropped, almost literally. “HOW?!”

Pyro: “Enchanted bag.” now thinking about it, I haven't introduced the stuff to them. I still need to create...how many arachnees are here anyway? I think it was around four thousands or so...

A-S: “Enchanted... can I have it?”

Pyro: “Sure. You all are my forces anyway.”

A-S: “Forces? Wait, are you commander that Garrus talked about?”

Pyro: “What about Bones? Oh right, yes, Garrus addresses me as commander.”

A-S: “Commander.” She saluted me, just like Garrus. That bastard will corrupt everyone if I won't stop him. And I won't stop him, it's more fun this way. “How much steel is there?”

Pyro: “Few tons. Didn't care about it, so no info on precise amount.”

A-S: “What about crystals?”

Pyro: “Dozen of high quality for fire and water, each. Have around a hundred mana crystals of high quality.” somehow they are much easier to come across in the vaults.

A-S: “OK. That is good. If you enchanted the bag, can you also enchant new furnace?”

Pyro: “Yeah, I can. You said you also need elementals?”

A-S: “Sprites. Can you summon sprites?”

Pyro: “Nah, I will summon elementals. They are stronger than sprites.” well sprites are also elementals, but very weak ones. “I think I will summon them now.”

A-S: “Right now? You have everything for the summoning with you?”

Pyro: “Yeah, I got enough mana to summon them.” Let's summon regular fire and water elementals. “Say are you the master smith?”

A-S: “Yes, I am in charge here-”

Pyro: “OK. Wait for some time, I need to concentrate.”

The first one to be summoned was water elemental, then fire. Both of them was just a lump of respective element, unlike sprites however, they had some sort of basic physical shape. Water was more like a slime with whirlpool inside it, while fire was, well fire with tendrils.

Name: None

Race: Elemental

Species: Fire (Common)

Summoner: Kuro (Hidden: Pyro)

Mana 6000/6000

Both only had mana parameter. I think it has something to do with them being beings of spiritual type. Maybe ghosts are the same? Need some research done on that one.

Pyro: “OK. You two, you are now her minions.” I said while pointing at smith. “Whatever she tells you to do, you do. Exceptions attacking me, my companions or summons.” at such words fire elemental shimmered, while water 'nodded', if you can count moving whirlpool up and down as nod. Somehow they look like slimes, just more ethereal in nature.

A-S: “Are they sprites?”

Pyro: “Elementals. Elementals are stronger than sprites. Just be careful with them.”

A-S: “OK.” and I left her with the elementals to their devices.

Next stops were hunters and magicians. Hunters, or huntresses also had tanners and carpenters among them, while magicians had jewelers. Well there were more professions, but I decided on distinguishing them by warrior, ranger and wizard. The most numerous were actually rangers, followed by wizards, but rangers were actually also warriors, so wizards had the lowest amount of members, but they still were strong. Easier to distinguish them by magic and non-magic, but there is the limit to their patience.

Carpenters were working on bows and staffs, jewelers on mana storage items. Not much of what I could help them with, but some resources were allocated.

Interesting thing is that most of arachnees are combat capable, but most of them are working on non-hazardous projects. It's quite understandable, but still I wish they were more battle oriented race. From what I heard the most hot-headed races are orcs (frigging pig-heads if you ask me), followed by demons, some beast-kin and dragons, humans, monsters, and only after it the other races. Undead don't really care about anything, unless they see something, so they are semi-passive/aggressive creatures, not my minions though. Unless I forbid them, they would eagerly slaughter everyone and then give me the bodies or souls of their kills, while wagging their tails, if they had any that is. Garrus would probably forget about me and slaughter even more though. That means that if there is sentient undead or they have master, mortals are screwed.

Oh right, where was I? Seems like mushroom farm? Nope, won't go there, not because I don't like mushrooms, but mostly because I will be quite a distraction. It's not that bad, but if I do that-

You won't get your chicken.

Exactly. Where have you been?

Tried to calm down Bianca. You made her-

Bzzzzt... Can't hear you, call me later.

Where was I? Oh right, if I would distract farmers, I would get scolded and no chicken and mushrooms this evening. Behave yourself, brrr... and that was Ariel! My minion! Oh well, at least I got some cookie-

Pyro: “WHERE'S MY COOKIES?!” I can tell that I had at least a few dozen kilos of them stored in my inventory...

Mr Peanuts: “*Guilty Squeak*... *Squeak*, *Squeak*”...

Pyro: “Okay... what does it mean?” Mr Peanuts facepalmed, if you can call it such.

Bones: “Master, Mr Peanuts ate your cookies.”

Pyro: “Oh well. At least I still have my kulpo.”

Mr Peanuts: “*Genius idea squeak*” and he ran off. Can't really be angry at him, as I also have some soft points...

Bones: “Yes it will do.”

Pyro: “You guys...*Sigh*... Seriously...”

Bones: “Yes, he's quite funny.” and so once again I was left out of the loop...
