《Hero? I'm assassin, but that's the same right?》Chapter 30. Golm Project

Pyro POV
After some 'talks' with the 'Mascot' I found out that this mouse is rather... strange. First of all he prefers acting like a pet, dunno why though, dance, again dunno why, and magic. He likes magic because it can give him access to 'shiny stuff', 'minions' and 'cookies', the last part still eludes me, I mean he's a skeleton, how can he eat?
Well it doesn't really matters, for now at least, so I decided to move onto more important stuff, namely Golm and 'stuffs' of holding. I really mean 'stuffs' because I think that making a 'rock of holing' would be insanely fun. Imagine a simple rock flying towards you, then it 'consumes' you storing you in the pocket dimension. However this idea has a few drawbacks, namely stability. It won't work properly, yes you can use some sort of enchantment on the rock, but only one and preferably one-shot type, meaning use the rocks as grenades, or nukes if you have enough mana to make enchantment like that. I tried on developing 'Big Frigging Rock', but it ended in one lost hand, which regrew quite fast, well it was less than a day. So BFR is not a thing, at least not yet.
So yeah, golem, or as Golm. Need to make it quite nasty... or cute. Can't decide on that one, but I'm not making it 'creepy-cute' as in that case one really strange doll will try to strangle me, well it'll be futile as I don't need air, but it'll be rather unpleasant in any case. Anyway I still need to make a 'core' from all those gems, and maybe make a mana-reactor? I don't want to recharge it... now that I think about it, how my minions work? They are undead, have core and have mana... wait, that's it! They just consume surrounding mana! Wait... yes they consume, but mostly they convert it from surrounding essence... so transforming runes, or glyphs will be required. From materials I will use demonite, or demon steel, and adamantine. I will make it very strong melee fighter, as all golems should be. And I need to make it's limbs much more useful than that of a human, I remember that few of those robot prototypes had magnetic limbs, so they would be able to rotate it how they like, but... here I should use some sort of mana field? Maybe...
After a few days of working on my golem I managed to make the core with mana gathering runes, body frame, and the limbs. Let me tell you that this freak will be the most offensively oriented minion of all my minions. It will be covered in spikes, have blades instead of limbs and will be able to become a 'ball' for quick transportation. Oh and it will have some sort of spells for the attack, but it will mostly will use melee. But now I'm low on needed metals, I still have few tons of that useless stuff like iron, copper, steel and aluminum... well aluminum is not useless, but I don't have it in the first place. Well for now I will have to go with what I have. I will use steel and demonite with adamantine spikes. It will work quite nicely I suppose. Also the core should be much stronger than those of my minions and... well... yes, it should be bigger.

After few days of creating new stuff and getting info on crystals I decided to go for the said crystals, and what place is better than Mage Guild? Well it's only merchant guild, but they don't always have the gems. Also there are jewelry stores, but they are mostly branches of merchant guild, so they not always have 'proper' gems. True they have gems like diamonds, rubies, emeralds etc, but they don't always have magic gems. I really can't understand those pesky nobles, who would use something useless and expensive, when you can use something useful and expensive? Or are they thinking that useful items are more expensive? Oh well.
The Heist! The heist is once again upon us!
The crime lord returns! Well sort of.
Guys are we going or what?
Yes, I'm going.
So I'm back at capital, current time is... night, while location is... near the merchant guild's warehouse. Yes they don't store gems there, but I'm here for another reason. Demonite shipment! Also some other minor metals and a few custom made items, but it doesn't really matter, what matters is that I will steal it.
First it's to get some info, well more like scan, for the guards and traps, plan the way in, and way out. With my teleportation spells it ended with finding more or less secure place for teleport and then teleporting my way out. Easy-peasy lemon squeazy... m-m-m... lemons...
So after I teleported and 'conficated' the shipment 'for those in need' I found myself with few tons of demonite and a bit less of some other metals. Now my Golm will have the demonite-adamantine carcass instead of demonite-adamantine-steel carcass. Don't get me wrong, I liked steel, but it's useless when comparing it to something like adamantine.
Next stop is the vault, not the type some moron in jumpsuit would use as shelter, but the one said moron would use for storing loot. And no, it won't have some sort of tentacloid hiding in there, at least I hope it won't, but you never know those merchants.
Results are... unsatisfactory. No gems in vault. Well at least I stole a bit more gold and converted it for few more points, as well as getting some spare change. Everything was properly cleared of the mana, so no one could trace them.
Next was some of the jewelry shops, but I only got some useless trinket, and a bit of magic gems.

The Mage Guild, don't mistake it with the magic college/academy, or Adventurer guild, was jackpot. I stole five gold, dozen+ of white, same with pink, purple gems were almost fifty and others ranging from hundred to few thousands. Very good haul.
Oh yeah, I also got my hands on some 'relic', which was
Banhammer (2H Hammer) {Durium} SS-Rank [Uncommon]
Durability 11230/11500
Heavy Hitter
Cool, but will give it to Garrus. I don't use hammers. Need to get some knowledge on this durium, so I could either make it, or get something that makes it. Wonder do they have some sort of living metals? Would be rather fun getting my hands on one.
After a few more days on the Golm project, I finally finished it. The thing is that Golm is rather heavy. A bit over two tons actually, but with some enchants I made him weight around two hundred something kilos, more or less the weight of grown up human.
Right... Really obese human.
Stop whining! I made golem.
It's not a golem! It's a friggin magic robot!
Why?
Golems are sort of elementals, not some sort of-
Actually golems are like that. You mistook the earth elementals for golems. Proper golem is the thing made of some physical body powered by magic. This one is advanced type that have a mind of it's own by the way.
WAIT, WHAT?!
Most golems don't have a core, just like most other constructs, that covers undead too.
Cool.
You always liked to make the strongest creatures in small quantities.
Yep. OK enough talking, let me finish him.
After my internal dialog, I made finishing touches on my golem. Well if we go that way, maybe add the function to change shape? Well it will be a day more work, but it'll be better to get strong enough golem, than some underpowered.
Underpowered... Even this one could probably crush the-
Yes also add a few more enchants for self-repair and cleaning.
…*Sigh*...
Embarrassing, but I forgot about those essential things.
Finally it LIVES!!! Well sort of. It's a construct, so it's not technically alive.
Pyro: “My creation. I finally finished you after the long work that took most of my life.”
Golm: “Creator, you are undead, ageless, and you are only fourteen.” yeah... forgot I gave him some sort of appraisal skill.
Pyro: “Come on! You could play along this time!”
Golm: “No can do Creator.”
Pyro: “Meanie!”
Golm: “Creator, don't throw tantrum, it's ineffective against me.”
Pyro: “I didn't plan on it anyway.” Meanie! I wished to throw one!
Golm: “Also Creator should eat properly, when was the last time you ate?” what?
Pyro: “Of course I eat properly! I ate chicken and kulpo!”
Golm: “When was the last time you drank blood?”
Pyro: “Never, why?”
Golm: “You are skinny Creator. You should eat more and-”
Pyro: “You what, my mother?”
Golm: “No, just really obsessive childhood friend.” Wait don't tell me-
