As morning came the soft sunlight found it’s way inside the room and woke me and Tsurai up. After dressing up we went to mother’s room. When I opened the door I found mother alone in the room sitting by the window.

“ Mother, where are Alice and Yuuna ? “ (Kagero)

Noticing me and Tsurai, mother smiled at us.

“ They are on the roof, they said they want to see the view up there. “ (Risala)

The roof, huh ? Although no monster had yet to attack this castle there was no guarantee they wouldn't attack if they saw Alice and Yuuna on the roof.

With that Tsurai exited the room and headed for the roof. Once alone with mother, I took a chair and sat in front of her, as I sat I got a good look at mother and I once again realized what a beautiful woman she was.

From the first time I saw mother, I understood that she was beautiful but with the soft sunlight as background, the wind blowing her hair and her white and alluring legs with were peeking out from her cheongsam, she was even more captivating. Mother’s looks made me unintentionally stare at her, not because of lust but simply because she was just that captivating.

Wait, what the fuck am I thinking! She’s my mother-in-law for god sake! After a few second of staring I finally returned to my senses....I hope mother didn’t realize that I was staring at her.

There was something amiss about the war, what made Noir Noxtis's action evolve from a vandalism to a mindless genocide ? Why did he even vandalize the four races’s god’s shrine in the first place ? With no answers coming to mind, I decided to hold my curiosity because I had no way to think of answer and too little information to work on. But I have a guess: there must have been something like a conspiracy or the involvement of a third party. As I thought that, a sound rang out in my head.

The [Kyuubi] clan’s unique magic are fox-fire and illusion magic. The fox-fire or what the [Kyuubi] call [Kitsune-bi] is like it's name said a fire magic, this magic is comparable to high tier fire magic that human can use and the strength of the [Kitsune-bi] is proportional to the magic strength of the [Kyuubi] who's using it. Theirs illusions spells are some of the bests from all the races, this one magic many times made the army of the four nation suffer heavy loses.

And [Kyuubi] most dangerous power is theirs beasts. The [Kyuubi] has two types of beasts, the first one is called Guardian beast and the second type are tamed beasts. Just like the name, tamed beasts are normals monsters that [Kyuubi]'s member tamed. But if it was only that then they wouldn’t pose much troubles since this power is the same as human’s tamer job but the first type make them far more dangerous.

The Guardian beast, unlike tamed beast are born when its master, the [Kyuubi] is born. Their form and strength is never the same and they grow alongside their master. [Kyuubi] only have one guardian beast each but next to this they can have several tamed beasts. The stronger the master is the stronger the Guardian beast is. A Guardian beast is only loyal to his master and he will fight to his death for his master.

And as if this wasn't enough, Guardians or tamed beasts, when under the control of a [Kyuubi] are granted the power to evolve. “ (Risala)

“ Evolve ? You mean something like changing job to a stronger one ? “ (Kagero)

“ Yes. An evolved beast strength is incomparable with normal beasts strength and can evolve several times. Even a beast which only evolved once is strong as an A to AA rank monsters. The beasts that Saika Ninetails command have all evolved three to four times, you can guess just how monstrous their strength is. “ (Risala)

“ After the defeat of the demon lord, the [Kyuubi] clan and the rest of the demon lord’s army disappeared and scattered all over the world. Some got caught and killed while some probably still live in hiding. “ (Risala)

Hmm, guess I won’t search for them for now, since I lack the man's power to do the search.

Just when I was about to ask something to mother, something hit the castle causing a loud sound as if a huge boulder just fell on the castle followed by the sound of a girl screaming. Knowing the sound was from the roof, mother and I didn’t waste any time and just ran to the roof. When we arrived at the roof, I saw Tsurai brandishing Strada’s shield in enhanced mode while Alice and Yuuna were hiding behind her. Smoke was coming out from the surface of Strada’s shield and the ground around Tsurai. The ground was melting as if it was hit by a laser. In front of Tsurai I saw a huge black bird flying in the sky. With burning red lines all over it’s body, three red eyes and three legs, I didn’t know what the monster name was but if I have to name it then I’ll call it Yatagarasu.

KAAAAAAWWWKKK!!

With a loud cry, magic started to sip out from the red lines on it’s body and gather to it’s middle leg. As the magic gathered a red ball manifested in it’s middle leg, aiming for Tsurai.

“ Like I will let you do that! Get away from my wife! “ (Kagero)

In a second, I let out two magic shooters and used to fly forward with a burst, I reached the Yatagarasu and swung down my scythe toward it but with just a swing of it’s wing the Yatagarasu dodged high to the sky. I raised the output of the spells and chased the Yatagarasu to the sky. Seeing me chasing it, the Yatagarasu flow in even higher height.

While chasing after the ugly bird, I was flying right behind it but I couldn’t close the gap because of it's extreme speed. Since I couldn’t get closer, I changed my right arm to obsidian tentacle and fired obsidian Tridents at it but it was useless. No matter how much Tridents I fired at it, they were all dodged as if the Yatagarasu had eyes behind it’s back.

“ Damn it! Try this! “ (Kagero)

I stored my scythe in shadow raiment and changed my left hand to magic shooter tentacle, with my right hand as obsidian tentacle and my left hand as magic shooter tentacle I began to shot Tridents and all kinds of magic aimed at the Yatagarasu. With the overwhelming number of magic and Tridents flew toward the Yatagarasu I was sure some of it would definitely hit the Yatagarasu, but it was useless. All of the magic and Tridents were shot down by the yatagarasu.

After I shot the Tridents and magic at it, the Yatagarasu suddenly speed up and distance itself with me. when I thought the Yatagarasu was fleeing, it stopped and spread it’s wing and with one big flap of it’s wing, dark cloud appeared. As The black cloud get close I realized it was not a cloud but numerous amount of black feathers, so much it looked like a dark cloud.

As the Yatagarasu’s feathers clashes with my magic and Tridents, my magic was destroyed while my Tridents not even cracked when hit by the feather but The Tridents lose all it’s momentum and fell. Even after clashing with my magic and Tridents there were still many feathers left and all of them were flying at me, I used my all to dodge the dark feathers but there were too many of it. In a second my body was covered by cuts wound and some of the feathers were stabbing my body. not letting me rest, the Yatagarasu flapped it’s wing again and another vortex of dark feathers came flying to me again.

As the dark vortex came closer to me, I changed my left hand to obsidian tentacle, after that I put up my guard and created a big thick tower shield with both of my arms, big enough to shield all of my body. With the tower shield I was able to survive the vortex attack, when the numerous dark feathers hit my shield I could tell from the sound and impact that the feathers weren’t able to damage my shield.

The Yatagarasu didn’t stop throwing dark vortex of it’s feathers at me but since the feathers not doing any damaged, I started to close the distance between me and the Yatagaras but as I get close...

CRRAAAAAAAKKKK!

The force was strong enough to pushed me back, when I use my tentacle to check I saw a big three claw mark on the shield. It was the same [Vacuum Claw] attack that one eyed crow have only with stronger power, it would be dangerous to get hit continuously by an attack like this. As if granting my greatest fear, the Yatagarasu shot out several [Vacuum Claw] at me. I was too late to react to the attack and miss my chance to dodge it, with that I could only hope my shield could endure it.

After only three strike my shield was already in shambles, I hope that the last strike was the last one but unfortunately it wasn’t....

As the fourth strike hit my shield, not only it destroyed my shield it also cut my arms. As the shield shattered I could see my blood spraying on the air and the Yatagarasu spreading it’s wing, in that moment I strongly desire to hit it with one of my Tridents and that strong desire of mine activate and teach me what [Tentacle Mastery] did. In that moment the arms that were separated from me and spraying blood in the air suddenly shot out Tridents at Yatagarasu.

KAAAAAAAAAWWWKKK!!

Since even the Yatagarasu didn’t think my cut arms could attack him, it let it’s guard down and the price for letting it’s guard down was five Tridents stabbing it’s body. With that I knew just what [Tentacle Mastery] did, it allowed me to control my tentacle even if they were cut or far away from me, in other word, a remote control. Suddenly an idea hit me, an idea that could kill the Yatagarasu.

To be honest, this guy was too strong, it got speed and power. If I want to kill it, I couldn’t rely on brute strength.

“ let’s start the plan. “ (Kagero)

The first thing I did was generated new arms and one steel tentacle, with my new arms I pluck off the steel tentacle on my back and threw it downward.

“ now, let’s see can I outrun you or not. “ (Kagero)

I generated two more jetpack on my back and flew away from the Yatagarasu, angered by my attack the Yatagarasu won’t let me escaped and chased me with all it’s strength.

“ as expected, that injury slowed you down, isn’t it ? “ (Kagero)

Even if the injury was quite light, it was enough to slowed the Yatagarasu, since if the Yatagarasu wasn’t injured it would be impossible for me to outrun it. I kept flying in the air trying to shake off the Yatagarasu or at least that was what I wanted the Yatagarasu to think. I may looked like I flew with no direction but in truth I was luring the Yatagarasu to a trap, the Yatagarasu tried to shot me down with it’s laser and [Vacuum Claw] but I was able to dodge it all.

As I kept flying the castle finally entered my vision. I flew toward the castle with the Yatagarasu behind me, nearing the castle I transformed my right hand to pile driver. When I flew past the roof of the castle mother and Tsurai were there prepared and when the Yatagarasu was right in front of them, I yelled.

“ NOW! “ (Kagero)

“ shining ray! “ (Tsurai and Risala)

A bright light suddenly enveloped the roof with mother and Tsurai as the center while blinding the Yatagarasu. When I threw out my steel tentacle down back then was actually aimed at the roof, the reason I threw the steel tentacle was to told mother and Tsurai about my plan by carving it down on the ground with the steel tentacle.

Blinded and taken by surprise by the suddenly light, the Yatagarasu abruptly stopped and tried to get away from the light. But unfortunately for it, the split second the Yatagarasu was blinded I flew on top of it and came flying down aiming at it’s head. I raised my right hand and slammed it to the Yatagarasu head, the force of my punch was forcing the Yatagarasu to the ground. As the Yatagarasu’s giant body hit the ground a loud sound rang out and cracks appear all over the roof’s ground.

“ damn, you’re tough, huh. “ (Kagero)

Even after being hit by my punch and slammed to the ground, it was only able to stunned the Yatagarasu for a little while before it flapped it’s wing in frenzy, trying to flew away.

“ unfortunately, this is the end for you. so, just quietly die and become my power! “ (Kagero)

I raised my right hand and slammed it to the Yatagarasu’s head, the moment my punch hit it’s head an obsidian stake shot out from my arm and pierce through the Yatagarasu’s head. Blood was spurting out from the Yatagarasu’s head and it’s body was moving and spamming like crazy before soon became silent and still. With that mark the end of my battle with the Yatagarasu.
