《Legendary Void Dungeon》Chapter 15

The bandits walked through the dungeon first rooms laughing raucously together. They killed any of the spiders and wildcats they came across and Unbound focused to hear their conversation.
“Apparently Gerry heard that the church detected a new dungeon here and after checking it determined it is very weak and not an undead type.” One of the bandits dragging the women stated.
“Quiet, wait until the dungeon is controlled to talk about it, until then it is dangerous.” A bandit with better quality armor snapped out, silencing the talk and laughter momentarily. The same man hefted the sword and brought it down in a cleaving stroke that cut a Tearing Spider in twain.
Unbound felt suspicion at that, bandits should be hated by a lot of people, how should they know about him? And how should they be able to control him?
“Elvinia, how would they be able to control me?” He asked the fairy. She looked shocked for a moment before realization dawned.
“They would either hold a sword above your core and force you to make things or…” She trailed off sadly.
“What?” He asked quickly, this was a bigger threat than any horde of undead.
“There are classes that people can get where they can enslave a core.” She spoke. “The fairies with the core in question. They don’t have a good end.” Her tone was one of pensive sadness. Unbound could commiserate, he didn’t think he would have a good end as a slave and the main part of a fairy’s purpose was to guide the core and prevent mental instability and insanity.
Unbound created a few more defenders on the second and third floor then, to make sure that the intruders perished. He then proceeded to watch as the bandits found the sixth floor with the copper mine, making a mental note to produce a few ore veins in the ant’s nest, possibly mixing in small pieces of iron.

Then he saw as the bandits motioned at it before continuing, nothing on the first floor had managed to harm them yet. Even when a Springer cat had surprised one of the bandits their leader had seen it and killed it before it could seriously injure or maim anyone.
The cohort of bandits then went into the tunnel outside the boss room and a slim bandit with squinty eyes looked at where the pressurized spikes would leave the walls and where the rockfall would tumble down from the ceiling.
“Is trap detection something else humanoids can learn, Elvinia?”
“Yes, the skill tends to be in thief or rogue classes but even then, anyone can learn it with time. Bandits are a close enough class to thieves or rogues it increases the likelihood of learning it.”
“Will it be another trap I can get later to prevent detection from the shop when I have a far higher level.”
“Yes, I believe so anyway. I don’t know exactly for you because of your legendary affinity.”
He gave mental acknowledgment before focusing again as the bandits circumvented the traps before moving into the boss room. The three bandits holding the women stayed back as the rest formed up with weapons held high to attack the spider boss.
One of the whip-like limbs struck out at the bandit leader, its barbs glinting dangerously. The bandit twisted to let the whip pass by him before bringing his sword out in a two-handed strike that tore through the chitin.
The Bone Tearing Spider Boss gave out a shriek as part of its limb flopped to the floor, slicing out to the side to tear out an unwary bandit’s throat. The unfortunate victim clutched at the bloody smile upon his throat before slowly falling to the floor with a panicked gurgle.

The fight didn’t stop for the victim’s death, but the bandit leader darted towards the boss’s main body even as another bandit died. With the second death, the other invaders brought up their guards even as the remaining whip limb curled back at the leader.
The leader hacked at the spider’s head before hurdling the limb which tore at one of its own eyes. The spider’s partial blindness prevented it from reacting as the bandits drew closer and hacked at the spider, with the many attacks the spider fell and died.
Unbound was pleased, despite the boss's skeletal killing specialty it had managed to take out two of the forty-seven bandits. Now he was far more anticipating the bandit’s reaction to the ant’s nest floor and when they entered the floor, he planned on closing off the entrance to prevent them camping any leaving ants.
They proceeded into the second floor, pausing only momentarily at the glowing portal before they moved into the second floor. The mostly barren floor confused them for a moment, the small patch of ground almost the same size as the boss room previously.
The bushes and rabbits stood out slightly until the bandit leader turned to the large open hole for the ant’s nest with a frown upon his scarred face. He then barked out an order to his followers to grab some of the branches from the floor for torches before leading them in.
Almost immediately after the last bandit was clear of the entrance it sealed over with several layers of stone with specks of Void residue within to discourage the bandits from trying to dig upwards. Shouts and exclamations resounded from the bandits as the light was cut off, but their leaders frown twisted into a vicious smirk.
Torches were lit quickly to illuminate the space but immediately after lighting one of the smaller more lethal ants clamped onto the leg of one of the bandits holding the women. He screamed as barbed mandibles tore into his ankle, ripping apart ligaments and thinner bones.
The bandit went to the ground even as the ant was squashed beneath the revenge of the victim’s fellows. The leader frowned inspecting the lost limb and slitting the man's throat, his eyes wide with shock and betrayal the man tried to weakly claw at the leader even as his motions stilled.
The leader ordered another bandit to grab the dropped woman before moving deeper into the ant’s nest.
