Zen’s POV
Sei: Hey, wake up.
Zen: Five more minutes’ Mom.
Sei: I am not your mother and you promised to teach me Zen.
I open my eyes “HOW THE HELL DID SEI GET INTO MY ROOM!” I know it’s dark. But, I can tell it’s her because I can see the panda barrettes in her hair.
Zen: Why are you here? How are you here? Go away. It’s 2:30 in the morning. I want to go back to sleep. Not only that, you bullshitted me with those crocodile tears. I am not doing anything.
Sei: I will pay you fifteen bucks an hour.
Zen: Get out so your master can change. We got a lot of work to do my apprentice. I prefer cash. But, I will also take a check or credit card. I will give you my information.
I get up and take a shower then Sei and I jump out the window. It is only the third floor. I have jumped from higher places. We go to the spot where we were yesterday and we begin to train. I tell her that Zen is all about getting a mental image. The stronger your mental image; the better your Zen will be. After a couple of hours, we stop calling it quits for the day. After that, I head back to my room. I see Decklyn smiling at me.
Decklyn: With your girl again? Benny and I heard the noise in your room.
Zen: She is not my girlfriend.
Benny: I didn't know you were dating someone from the Yang Family. You’re pretty brave. Most people don't have the balls to mess with the Yang family’s young mistress.
Decklyn: Her Dad is an ex-triad boss; very strong and powerful; not to mention, he has his own private army of cold blooded killers on standby.
Zen: I thought this was a place for people who wanted to become super heroes?
Benny: It is. Sei’s mom was the super hero, Vermillion Bird. She is really well-known in China. Sei’s dad fell in love with her mom and gave up being a triad member for her. He was so powerful a third of the organization left with him. So, good luck with your father- in-law…. Ahahahah.
Zen: I hate the both of you.
They begin to laugh at my misfortune. Note to self: stay away from Sei after I finish teaching her Zen. It might get more complicated. After shooting the shit with Benny, I put on my uniform, a white-collar shirt, blue tie, red blazer and khaki pants. When I come out, Benny and Decklyn have put on matching uniforms and we head out. The first half of the day is regular academic classes like math, English and science. But after lunch, we start the super hero classes like the anti-terrorist class, the study of alien life, outdoor survival, computer hacking and other type of super hero stuff. The three of us head our separate ways to our classes. The first class on my schedule is history. I walk in and look who’s there? It’s Sei sitting in the back. But this time, she has a bow instead of a barrette in her hair with a panda on it. The only seat open is the one next to her. I can't escape this girl. You see, the whole class stays together throughout the day for the entire year. The teacher just changes each period. My home room teacher is Mr. Coulson also known as Phil Coulson, Agent of shield. He’s been an agent, a director and writer. His book is titled “Phil Coulson, Agent of Shield”. He is the history and tactical leadership instructor.
Mr. Coulson: Okay, today, class we have a new student. Why don't you stand up Zen? This is Zen Shade. He just transferred here from New York. Mr. Shade, why don't you say something about yourself?

Zen: I stand up. I guess I got to give the new kid speech. “I am Zen shade; my mom was an assassin; now, she is a top chef in a hotel; and I like money.
Sei: Hey, your mom was an assassin? What’s her alias? My Dad knows a lot of assassins.
Clara: You would ask that Sei. You’re a gangster’s daughter after all.
I look up and see a girl with long brown hair and green eyes. She has pale white skin. I guess, her grandfather was the Avenger Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye.
Sei: Shut up Barton. Just because grandpa is Hawkeye does not make you hot shit.
Clara: Still makes me better than you.
Mr. Coulson: Girls, that is enough. Do I have to send you both to detention?
Sei and Clara: No sir.
After My introduction, we begin class. We go through the history. It is a little different than my former world history class. Today, we talk about World War II and how Captain America led the Howling Commandos against the Germens and Hydra. After that, we go to math then science. I get partnered with Sei because she is my desk mate. During science, she adds to much of one chemical and almost causes an explosion. Clara laughs at us. Sei uses qui to ruin Clara and her partner’s experiment. Those two hate each other. After we finish science lab, it’s time for lunch. I sit with Sei, Decklyn and Benny. I’m eating when a man with blonde hair and blue eyes approaches me.
???: You Shade?
Zen: Yeah.
???: I believe you owe my big sister an apology.
Zen: Big sister?
??? I am Leo Clark. My sister is Leah Clark.
Zen: HOW THE HELL ARE YOU TWO RELATED? Wait, did you say big sister? what grade are you in?
Benny: Leo is in our class. He is freshmen.
Zen: You’re lying. He has a beard; this guy is a grown-ass man.
Sei: His sister looks like she’s 10 and she’s 17.
Decklyn: The Clark family’s genes are weird.
Leo: So, are you going to apologize or not?
Zen: No. It was your sister who attacked me. I have three policies; borrow money…but never lend money, always be compensated for your time, and never apologize when you’re in the right.
Sei: You’re a little money grubber aren't you?
Zen: And you’re not…are you rich?
Sei: Yes.
Zen: You don't know the pain of being poor. So, you have no room to judge.
Leo: If you really aren’t going to apologize, then I challenge you to a duel in the Danger Room. If I win, you have to apologize to my sister.
Zen: Since you are going to take up my time, I will expect for there to be compensation. So, when do you want this duel to go down?
Leo: Be there at 3 o’clock after school; don't be late to your beat-down.
Sei: Is money all you care about?
Zen: No. But, it is one of my top priorities.
Sei just shakes her head. What, you’re rich. You don't know my pain. You know nothing about living in poverty. I think those barrettes you’ve been wearing are made of diamonds.
Decklyn; Benny, let’s start pool.
Benny: You read my mind.
Zen: You’re betting?
Benny and Decklyn: Yeah!
Benny: All students bet on duels. It’s one of the few forms of entertainment you can get on the island. I remember the last duel; I made a killing.
Zen: Oh, one more thing.
Benny: What?
Zen: What's a duel Benny,.........Decklyn,…..…….Sei?
Sei: YOU MORON! YOU ACCEPTED IT WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Benny: He is screwed.
Decklyn: Yep.

Beneath the Dragoneye Moons
Elaine is ripped from this world to Pallos, a land of unlimited possibilities made real by a grand System governing classes, skills, and magic. An ideal society? What is this, a fantasy novel? Adventures? Right this way! A Grand quest? Nah. Friends and loot? Heck yes! Humans are the top dog? Nope, dinosaur food. Healing and fighting? Well, everything is trying to eat her. Join Elaine as she travels around Pallos, discovering all the wonders and mysteries of the world, trying to find a place where she belongs, hunting those elusive mangos, all while the ominous Dragoneye Moons watch her every move. Hey! Beneath the Dragoneye Moons is my first writing effort, so please be kind, but don’t hesitate to point out the flaws. The story starts off slowly, more like a slice of life than action-adventure, but it gets there! I’m going to be posting M-W-F I do know how the story ends, and I promise if it ever gets dropped, or I stop doing this, I will post the ending. There will be no random “this is the last chapter” out of the blue. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

Sanguilia, Guide extraordinaire and strange woman all around, is accompanying a trade caravan when disaster strikes. At first glance she is no more than a Guide, which is no lowborn title itself, as it represents individuals who are capable of traversing the unknown wilds and are well versed in the languages of the land and its inhabitants. As she enters a city on her way home, a new, massive problem rears its head. Accompanied by a bar wench, who is far more than she seems, the mercenary Orc, Daenan and his tiny, flying companion, Faen, all with their own plans and agendas, they seek to tackle a monster in the shape of a man who controls the city. In the depths of the woods, far away from what humanity sees as the centre of civilisation, the lone, independent city of Lanas prepares itself for war, for the Kingdom of Maldora has set its eyes on them and their wealth. A cry for help goes out and bonds long faded into obscurity are renewed. And the world quakes when their calls are answered. Melena, once a slave girl, resides happily in the Mansion and is slowly getting used to her new life, where equality seems to rule. Until a noble's son decides that her very attractive body is something he should own. When the enigmatic master of the Mansion decides to personally deal with the rulebreaker, her world is turned upside down as she stumbles upon ancient mysteries that threaten to overwhelm her. Luckily she finds support in her once-liberator, now turned friend, the happy-go-lucky Evon, who carefully hides his past, the ghost-like Khrast, Kreya and many others. It is a tale of adventure, of lies and deceit, of love lost and found, of bravery and cowardice and where every one of our heroes and villains alike strive to find the answer to the same question: who is the being behind the Mansion of the Woods?
