Zen's POV

It is Sunday and I have my first day of school tomorrow. I get up and do my regular routine. I do several stances of Martial Arts with fifteen repetitions of techniques in each stance. I do that for a couple of hours. Now, I am covered in sweat and it’s time to go out on my run. I think Benny is up now.

Benny: Dude, how long have you been up?

Zen: Just since 4am. It hasn’t been that long. I finally got to sleep-in and boy do I feel so refreshed. Mom made me wake up at 3:30.

Benny: I can here Decklyn still snoring, the lazy bum is still sleeping. It is like 6:00: o’clock. He is sleeping way too much. I head out and go on my run. I decided to run around the island. As I’m circling the path, I hear something.

???: GOD DAMN IT. I FAILED AGAIN!

I look over and I see a Chinese girl. She’s wearing a dark blue shirt and a black skirt. She has short black hair and has Panda hair pins in her hair.

???: Why can't I get this? Okay, let's try this one more time. AZURA DRAGON!

She is using Qui. That’s a surprise. It looks like she is using Zen. Yeah, I am named after a form of Qui. There are four forms of Qui: Sei, Han, Zen, and Dou.

Sei involves using your Qui with your senses. It increases the power of all your sensory receptors. All life has qui characteristics. Sei allows you to hone in on the Qui inside another person so you can locate another person and sense their presence. The stronger your Sei the more details you can in tune you are with that other person and the greater distance you can be away from the other person and still be in tune with their senses. My radius is around 30 meters

Han Helps with healing. It speeds up the body’s natural healing process. It also allows you to heal others. But, that takes a lot out of you. I was never really good at Han. I know how to heal myself. But I can't heal others. I fuck up bad. I make people worst. So, I just gave up on Han and just use regular medicine.

Next is Dou. Dou enhances your physical abilities related to speed and strength. It also allows Dou can be put in your other weapons making them more powerful.

Finally, there is Zen. Zen involves pulling the Qui outward and giving it physical form. That girl was using Zen trying to turn her Qui into a dragon. But she is failing at it. The girl tries to create a dragoon and fails again. She punches a boulder and crushes into pebbles. I guess she mastered Dou

???: DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!

She picks up a boulder, chucks it, and then throws it. IT’S COMMING RIGHT AT ME, SHIT! I need to do something quick

Zen: GRAND TIGER!

I create a giant Tiger out of my Qui and destroy the boulder. I am the best at Zen. I am good with Sei and Dou equally. But, I just fuck up hard on Han.

???: WHOSE THERE? SHOW YOUR SELF BEFORE I MAKE YOU!

Zen: Looks like you caught me.

???: Who are you? I’ve never seen you before and you used Zen that means you know Qui. You made a Tiger? How did you control it?

Zen: New kid. I start Monday.

???: I am Sei. Sei Yang.

Zen: No shit. Your name is seriously Sei no bullshit? Your name is a form of Qui.

Sei: You got a problem with my name punk?

Zen: No. My name is fucking Zen. Zen Shade. Now, all we need are kids named Han and Dou and we can fucking start a band.

Sei: I guess that is a coincidence. So, you made that tiger out of Zen right?

Zen: Yeah.

Sei: Can you teach it to me, how to do Zen? I am not that good at it. I am good at Sei, Han, and Dou. I fucking suck at Zen.

Zen: I excel at Zen, Sei and Dou, But I fucking suck at Han.

Sei: So, do you want to teach me?

Zen: No.

Sei: Why not?

Zen: It is waste of my time. I am too busy to teach you Zen.

I start to continue to run but she starts to follow me. I pick up my pace. She picks up her pace as well. Okay, this is starting to get annoying. I start running faster and faster and she is keeping up with my pace.

Sei: I can go as fast as you can. I can also follow you anywhere. So, you might as well give up and do what I say please.

Zen: Damn, you are pushy. It’s not that big of a deal. I gave up on Han.

Sei: I am not a quitter. I have never given up on anything in my life and I am not giving up now.

Zen: It’s quite easy; just say I quit.

Sei: I never quit. A YANG NEVER QUITS!

I summon Kuro and I cut into space and make portal to my room. “Try following me through here.” I jump in the portal and she FUCKING JUMPS IN TOO. THIS GIRL IS TENACIOUS! We land in my bed and begin to fight. I finally manage to pin her down. Decklyn comes in my room and catches us in an awkward position.

Decklyn: Yo, what’s that? Oh, my bad bro. I didn't know you brought a girl here. Next time, put a sock on the door so I will know. My bad. Continue on.

Sei and Zen: IT’S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!.

Decklyn: Ok

Sei: I am just trying to get him to teach me.

Decklyn: Dude, you’re such a master. The girls want you to teach them stuff.

Zen: SEI, SHUT UP. YOU’RE MAKING IT WORSE!

Decklyn: Dude you got to be nicer to your woman or she will dump you.

Zen: SHE IS NOT MY WOMAN!

Sei: I AM NOT HIS WOMAN!

Decklyn: Oh, so it is a casual thing. I get it. You two want to be free; no strings attached type thing.

Sei and Zen: OH, MY GOD! GET THE FUCK OUT!

Decklyn leaves. Sei’s face is red from either anger or embarrassment. It’s hard to tell.

Sei: (crying) Because of you, my reputation will be ruined and.... I will be known as a slut.

Damn Tears. I am not good with tears. What the fuck do I do? Oh crap. For some reason, I feel like an asshole for the wrong reason.

Zen: It is fine. I will talk to Decklyn. Don't cry.

Sei: (crying) okay.

Zen: Okay. I will teach you. I will teach you Zen.

Sei: You promise; you won't take it back right?

Zen: I won't take it back. I promise.

Sei: Thanks. We’ll start tomorrow morning okay. Bye.

Sei wipes her tears. It looks like she has not been even crying at all. She puts a smile on her face and then jumps out the window. Son of bitch. I got played.
