Chapter 1. New world, new trouble
As the boy opened his eyes he saw that he was still sitting on the chair from the theater house but the rest of the theater had been replaced with a bizarre summoning platform. He had read from the books on fantasy about these kinds of situations but was completely dumbstruck about what was happening.
He had loved to read since he was little but since the start of the III World War writing was a profession that was dying out due to most writes being on the front lines and ending up being shot. He mostly continued reading because whether the story was a fantasy or historical, he could use the knowledge he got from the novels to his advantage as he completed his missions. He's experience as a soldier was to first confirm the situation as he could not make heads or tails out of the situation he was currently in. Second depending on the situation, stay or get the hell out of there. As he was looking around, he saw old men with with white beards in long white robes with golden symbols on them.
"How bizarre, seems like this is a bon a fide summoning like in those japanese novels. Now following usual the setting, they will go around saying that we are Heroes meant to save this world." He thought to himself, while glancing around and seeing four other youths in the same situation as him they all looked around 15-16 years of age. There was 2 boys and 2 girls looking around with the confused faces and he could also see the fear in their eyes. They all wore different clothing, he had never seen clothes like this before.

Since Enn had been in the military since he was 8, he had more experience with how to deal with sudden situations as it took a leveled head and a calm mind to analyze the situation, to survive as a black ops operative. He had to make a lot of decisions on the spot and according to the situation.
He had already made up his mind about abandoning this Hero thing and going around on a touring trip around this world. This decision was mostly based on his knowledge of mankind and novels that he had read.
"This war against devils, demons or whatever, can go and take a hike. This war was probably started by the humans, who either enslaved the other or coveted their resources. I have no intention of fighting a war that i didn't start, in a world that I have nothing to do with."
While thinking that, he started scanning his surroundings to look for a blind spot to slip away from.
To his misery, outside the stone henge he could see a stone wall with soldiers forming a tight net.
No matter how hard he had looked for blind spots, he couldn't find an escape route that would get him out unseen. While he was surveying the area, a little further away two people were walking closer with relief written on their faces. They both had black hair and deep brown eyes with lightly tanned skin. They both had slender figures but one was a male while the other was female. They wore exquisite clothes.
"Seems like the summoning this time was a success and the Heroes look quite young aswell." The woman wearing a ballroom gown said to the man by his side. "Mnn, seems like we finally have hope for ending this war that started 3000 years ago. But I'm more concerned about whether they accept to do it and if they do, how strong are they and how much experience they have."

While chatting amongst themselves, the young man, who looked about 20, couldn't get the idea of them rejecting or having zero combat experience out of his head. No matter what, he, who had been to battle could see that, the people in front of him were people, who didn't have any combat experience since they were so young. "If they reject us we have no alternatives, there is no use regretting it now," he thought. While sighing to himself, he kept on walking towards the summoned "Heroes".
While everyone of the Heroes was still looking around and trying to make heads or tails out of this situation, they were approached by a youth with a smiling face who opened his arms and said in a loud, clear voice: " Welcome Heroes, to our little world called Elluna. I am the crown prince of this kingdom called Nadin. My name is Claus von Strauss. I thank you all for accepting the invitation to come here and will now guide you to the throne room, where my father, the King, will explain everything and answer all your questions as well." While everyone were still dumbstruck about the grand introduction, they had no time to rebut it since Claus started walking away, gesturing them to follow him.
"Accepting your invitation my ass, we had no chance of refusal before being brought to this god forsaken rock." While rebutting in his mind, Enn rose to his feet and started following behind the prince to the throne room. All through the journey, he kept his eyes open and surveyed the surroundings. He refused to believe that there wasn't even one opening for him to get the hell out of there. While thinking that and looking for a chance to escape, they had arrived at a huge, grandiose golden door.

Eulisses Malinor is a prodigious and somewhat reclusive wizard with an unconventional outlook on life itself. The latter may or may not be related to him shedding the burdens of mortality some time ago. He claims that every wizard that takes pride in themself needs to reside in a tower in the middle of nowhere. It definitely has nothing to do with the Addia fanatics that continue to seek him out. Successfuly, much to his discontent. Ever out to ‘cleanse’ him, or bloody murder him if you'd ask the lich himself. But soon, that will no longer be a problem, as Eulisses has finally gathered every reagent - magical or otherwise he needs. He will tear open and stabilize a miniature Rift, essentially creating his very-own pocket realm in which even Addia’s gaze will no longer be able to reach him. Everything has been carefully planned out in advance, so there is no possibility of failure. You can maybe then imagine his bafflement, when instead of the nothingness of his successfully created pocket realm, Eulisses finds himself in a quite holy looking hall, amidst quite too-baffled looking fellows, in the centre of a gigantic summoning circle - allegedly, he cannot read the runes that make it up - and facing a young and quite fair maiden that stares at him quite wide-eyed.

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?
