(author's notes): Hey guys, Kuro here with one more chapter! Finally, after so much time, I came back with this fiction! I have been without time, but now i will be able to write something this weekend. For now, enjoy the chapter!
----------------------------------------------------------------
I looked to the ground, where lies the body of Markus Ikovich. Humans, so fragile. Um? What's that? A recorder? Oh, so he was making one of his logs eh? Let's destroy it for now, I have no interest in what this lunatic has to say, all that I need is the data on the main system of this base. Invade the system won't be hard, I heard all the passwords during my time here.
Also, I know there are vehicles somewhere on this base, made for transport on the glacial climate out there. But for now, I will need some more information from the scientists that are living here. They may have some information that is not recorded inside the main database of this establishment.
Also, I know that Markus has a bigger database on his main base on Australia, and I don't know if I can access that from here. If I can't, I will have to travel to his main base to delete and destroy any kind of information about his research and me, including the skeleton that he found.
I need to find the skeleton too, but it won't be that hard since it's stored here, no parts missing. If I can't destroy it, then I will have to find a way to hide it. I can't let such a thing fall on the hands of other humans, it's too dangerous to have something like me roaming around the world.
First, I will torture the scientists, I learned some good techniques from this place after all. And obviously, I hold a big grudge

against them. First, let's head to the living quarters. But first, let's check on Markus’s terminal, I may be able to find a map of this establishment on his archives. Let's se... ah, I found it. Wow, it's huge as I imagined, this fucker had a lot of money for sure. Let's get a better look at his terminal before leaving.
Oh! He manages his particular business on this base too! He also keeps his money here too, looks like he doesn't trust banks to keep his precious money. It will be very useful, but for now, let's torture the scientists on this base, there should be around 70 of them. I head to the living quarters in search of the scientists. It's easy to find them, since they stink of fear, and some of them even soiled their pants... gross.
Skipping the boring part, since I didn't feel anything from torturing them... a shame I thought. Since the death of Elena, the woman that tried to raise me, I feel the lack of extreme feelings. Maybe it's because of my adaptation? Well, not that I care though. Ok, thanks to my torture, I was able to get some extra information, like, Markus has some trust problems.
It’s not like that information was useful though. I feel like I lost some precious time... but whatever, since I killed all the inhabitants of this base. Ok, I know where the main operation room is, I’ll head there for now. While walking, I make some plans for the future. Of course i'm going to take Markus's money, since it will be extremely useful.
But I am in doubt in where I should go after this, Markus had some bases around the world, with various experiments in genetics, and I suspect of other human experiments, some really bizarre things. The closest base from here is... China, maybe? Or somewhere in Europe? I need to think of my own life too, I must keep my promise with Elena, and live to the maximum.

While thinking about this, I reached the main operation room. Excellent, now let's search a bit.

I see, now I understand. My body seems to have completely fused with the dragons DNA.Also, due to my fight with the guards. The greatest change was my regeneration rate, I can heal fast, faster than any creature, but it's slower than before, since my fight with the guards. when one bullet pierced my shoulder, it did not go too deep because of my tough skin, but it did make a good wound though.
A human would take a long time to heal, and I healed it in one hour. If I had the regeneration from my infant stage, I would be able to regenerate it instantly. Also, it seems that my actual fire breath is stronger than the usual, since I feel that my body has matured. It's a strange sensation, but I feel that I don't need to... adapt... anymore.
Regarding the cause of my breath, Markus couldn't find the reason, but I know that when I want to breath fire, I can feel a flame in my stomach, and then, I gather a lot of oxygen in my lungs. When I exhale , the fire on my stomach grows and mix with the oxygen on my lungs, lifting them and the air inside, making the fire breath.
Anyway, with all the information that I got and the security system deactivated, I can go to the lower levels and see the dragon skeleton.
(Lowest floor of the base, two kilometers under the surface)
Wow, it's really big, and all the bones are shining black. Looks like it's almost made of metal. Ok. let's see, I touch the skeleton... and I see something.A lot of images invades my brain, making my head hurt a lot. I see a lot of things, volcanoes, forests, creatures that don’t exist on earth, enormous dragons of various colors.
Also, I see castles, humans, small people, men and woman with pointed ears, humanoid creatures with tusks coming out of their mouth and pig face. And, in the end, I see a dragon, with shining black scales and golden, piercing eyes, looking straight at me. Then, the images stops and my head hurts no more.
Fafnir: What was that?
Then, looking at the skeleton, I notice a lot of cracks forming on its surface. The skeleton... is breaking! Before my eyes, the almost indestructible dragon skeleton becomes dust, and disappears...
Fafnir: What the fuck was that...
Why did it turn to dust when I touched it? What were those images?... No, I must focus on my escape now. I wasted too much time in here, I can find the answers later, but, for now, I must take the money and escape. I walk to Markus’s safe, that is one floor above the dragon. Using the password that I got from Markus’s terminal, I open the safe and take all the money stored here, around 5 million dollars.
Then, with all his money on my hands, I head to the surface.

'Mariana''Lieutenant''Admiral''Europa Airgetlam'Those are some of the names people have taken to calling me but it wasn't always like this. I used to lead a much simpler life as a florist but apparently fate didn't like that I was wasting my time. Cruelly was my life taken away from me and I found myself in another world with a different identity: Mariana Von Ulysses. Another world, another life, it's all the same to me. The only reason I ever became a florist in the first place was because it was an easy opportunity for me to live comfortably. That's really all I ever wanted, to live 'comfortably', and perhaps I didn't have any grand ambitions of my own but what's wrong with that? However this new world is hellbent on not letting me have it my way. Wave after wave of problems, from monsters to national politics, it seeks to drive me towards the center of all these inane drivel. If that wasn't bad enough, apparently humans are hated in this world, eh? I'm a human too... Fine, you want it your way world? If you push then I'll push back! I'll solve these problems the only way I know how: Flowers! Don't underestimate their poisonous attributes just because they have cute colors and girly patterns. Orcs? Elves? Humans? Fairies? Dwarves? Dragons? Titans? Celestials? Ascendeds? Gods? To stand before me means that they have forfeited their lives. I shall show them all, the deadliness of plants... The slow and agonizing torture of poison and venom, swirling within your system as you writhe in excruciating pain. It burns you from the inside with no escape. The only release from this hell would be 'death'. That is my power. In the end, the world does not seem to want to leave me alone. Thus I've come to a conclusion: the only way to make myself truly comfortable in this world is a hostile take over! So let me demonstrate their powers to you; I'll let you taste the reason why they call me the 'Flower of Malice'.
8 216A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
