《Re:Guardian (dropped)》Re:Guardian Chapter 5

Two weeks had passed since we began training, and much to my surprise I had grown tremendously. When I was born I was a little smaller than an adult iguana but now I’m comparable to an adult human, when on all fours, standing at about 1,80m, I also discovered the proper command to look at statue, which shocked me since I though I couldn’t after I tested it on my first day. When I saw it the first time I was shocked by my own growth.

(A.N. Elemental Magic Affinity is the combination of earth, water, air and fire, it’s a pain to right each one so I just fused them)
After I saw how strong I got it surprised me, besides Goliath's Spartan training it seems daily growth influences me greatly.
On the start of the third week, I encountered Goliath already waiting for me outside.
Goliath: good your up, today begins dark magic training, unlike humans who use dark magic to cause problems like blinding or traps for his opponent, dark magic for dragons delves into the realm of transformations, mainly for us to live with our partner without drawing attention.
As she began, a strange emerald colored fog spread from her wings and began covering her body, as the fog reached her tail it began to get smaller until it was at my size before it moved into my cave. As the fog cleared it revealed a beautiful woman that looked in her mid-twenty and with vary defined curves and dressed in elegant adventurer clothing with a sword on her waist.
Goliath: this is one of our racial abilities and the only ability we can use within the dark magic category.
Her voice had changed from a deep intimidating voice to a gentle calming one but she still had her characteristic intimidating aura, as well as her sharp emerald eyes that felt it was looking at your very soul.
Goliath: here for dragons eating certain spirit stones will open our abilities to magic, I believe you did the same with fire stone right.
I nodded then she pulled a small bag out, inside were a handful of black stones that gave a slightly ominous feel. She threw them and I caught it in my mouth and began crunching, after I swallowed I felt the magic within them leave and begin circulate in my body before getting absorbed.
Acquired Trait [Dark Magic Affinity]
Kira: I got affinity for dark magic affinity trait
Goliath: good now covert your aura into dark mana, start at the wings then move down.
Following her instructions I begin changing the mana in my aura into dark magic as I did aquamarine fog began appearing. After a few seconds the fog covered my body and I felt it getting smaller, the wings I felt had vanished, the tail got shorter and the claws got smaller as well. After a minute the fog dispersed, from the fog a small boy looking at least 7 years old appeared.
Goliath: well done you were able to transform into a Draconian form (half-human) on your first try, not bad.

At her words I checked my body. It was small that was obvious, but what was different was that I still had dragon like features. Up to my elbow scales were still present and my hands still looked like dragons and had claws but smaller in size, my legs and feet were the same as my hand, my tail, unlike my wings, was still their but shorter.
Acquired racial skill [Dragon Transformation], [Human Transformation], [Partial Transformation]
After acquiring the new skills I tried going completely human and succeeded, it left a small boy with dark aquamarine hair and eye dressed in some villagers clothes.
Goliath: oh not bad, your human form is really cute, I’m sure Melody will be happy having someone like you backing her, well anyway I’ve taught you all you need now go self-train, hunt or whatever you want, after three months I’ll come back to pick you up, also take this bag it has various intermediate level techniques for dragons as well as books that teach crafting trades but in methods for dragons.
She pulled out a bag and threw it at me, inside were many textbooks as well as books on plants, medicine making, blacksmithing (with recipes for dragon plate armor)
Without another word she jumps out the cave and is covered by a huge fog before the gargantuan emerald dragon appears and flies off, I notice that other older dragons did the same and after some time only hatchlings remain.

After two weeks at Melody's camp, a small village had sprouted. Most of the buildings were almost complete because of David’s effort in setting up the framework for all the buildings during the first week before the settlers arrived, when they arrived they were astonished to find a half built village in the spot. They quickly got to work with the chief of the group guiding them. Of the buildings only the town hall, smithy and training hall were complete before they arrived since they were more important, which help since the blacksmiths quickly began making tools.
During the second week Melody was in charge of hunting, she was also given three hunters to help but they couldn’t match the damage she did with mana infused arrows. After two weeks she has pretty much lost all her fear of magic and gained some confidence in herself, it also helped that David made her learn the basics of half the crafting jobs like tailor, blacksmith, carpenter, etc. This let her become friends with most of the villagers since most didn’t care she was a half elf because what they heard in the rumors and what they knew were totally opposites.
At the end of the second week she got curious about how strong she was, she had checked before but all her stats two weeks before were below 10 but then she saw her new abilities she was stunned.

Melody: what?... Did doing all those random jobs and just two weeks of hunting do so much, my level is still low, and maybe it’s those endless hours of training under David.
She was seriously pondering on what could have given her so much growth, 'I wonder if he used some kind of magic to help me, knowing him I think he would do the opposite' she though.

At around noon David called her as she was helping the blacksmiths.
David: hey Melody, come here I need to give you something for training.
She approached him cautiously since he has done this before to test her reflexes and has hit her and sent her flying.
David: that’s good always be vigilant, any way catch this is training material, there are magic books in there to advance you studies also a few weights to help you train your strength.
As soon as she grabbed it the bag fell from her had.
Melody: what is in there that thing weights a ton, I think even Kira weights lighter and how were you carrying it like it was nothing.
Her shouts easily traveled all around the village but no one looked since it had become normal to see them fight like this, all they saw was a young made laughing and training his student.
Melody: it’s not funny what if that thing fell on my feet I wouldn’t be able to hunt or train at all and I suck at healing magic and I know you do as well.
Her last words struck him like swords.
David: hey that’s mean I don’t suck at it I just never training in it that’s all, anyway the weight you felt was the effects of a special ring’ he said and pulled one out of the bag, ‘these rings are used to restricts your movement so you have to use more force to do normal movements, they are also enchanted with gravity magic so that it increases with each one you put on, the first ones are small rings you can put on your hand after that ones for the arms, legs and so on, there are enough to equal 400% more gravity when you put them all on.
Melody just stood there with her out open, ‘is this guy serious he’s like a demon what kind of person makes someone wear something like this’
As she though she didn’t notice that he put two rings on her, as soon as he let go of them she fell to her knees.
David: always pay attention to your surroundings, you never know if a mage will appear and hex you or kill you, those two rings will increase the gravity applied by 25%, the first one is 10% while the other 15%, when you can move normally with these put the next one on and so on’
As he finished explaining Goliath landed behind him.
David: oh good you’re here already well lets go.
Melody: hey where are you going, what about my training?
David: that’s up to you now, I just set the foundations for you need to decide what you want to do to get stronger, if you want tips on something there are books in that bag that show combat techniques also the instructor in the training hall can also help, well bye
With that he hopped onto Goliath and they leave before she could say anything else.
She was left kneeling over her own weight looking at the dragon vanish into the distance while she was seething in rage. This gave her the energy to get up by sheer willpower pushing her limit, but at the cost that just standing she was already breathing heavily; she quickly removed the ring that increased 15% of the gravity and the weight lighting to something she could work with.
Melody: even if it kills me I will make that man kneel just like he made me now, I’ll get so strong I can beat a full grown dragon without help from Kira.
Her motivation to get stronger was so strong that her aura was even radiating so brightly that normal humans could see it.

After goliath left I sat down and began reading the book about dragon blacksmithing, the first pages taught me how to make a forge from stone that wouldn’t melt, I just need to infuse mana inside each rock I used, I quickly flew out and to the mountain below the tree and pulled up huge rocks to use. after about an hour I had pulled up a nice pile then I went to work and using a concentrated [Dragon Breath] I began making a hope to direct the smoke first, it took the remainder of the day for me to finally make the hole go through the wall all the way outside so I just at something and went to sleep.
In the morning I continued I smashed a few rocks and made smaller rocks and began infusing it and gained the [Mana Infusion] skill by doing it, with each rock I place it in place and make a foundation and begin raising it, making sure to add dirt and other stuff to hold it up as instructed, it took the half a day to make the forge until it linked to the hole were the smoke leaves. When I was done I then read the guide books and found a few recipes that would let me make some stone armor, though crude it’s better than nothing. I quickly threw some rocks inside and using my breath I begin melting it, it took a few minutes before they began to soften and I was already tired, ‘what this is more taxing then I thought, maybe I need to focus more my breath’ I though then with a more focused flame I continue and it worked well the rocks melted on the second breath and became vary moldable. I quickly looked at the book and saw I needed to use magic to mold it then I looked at the model for the armor then I began.
Well to make things short I failed miserably the first five times I tried, the first three times I couldn’t even control the molten rock with magic, on the forth I was able but it burn my hand finally on the fifth time I was able to protect my hand while holding a ball of molten rock. I worked quick to get it into shape like a shield, that took several try’s before I thought of making pieces instead of the whole thing at once, this time it worked well I made it with six pieces then I connected them with to form the first armor scale for my chest. During the process I also gain [Dragon Blacksmith] trait, it helped a lot with the magic part of the process since it became easier to manipulate the magic for this task.
When I finished it was still early and the sun hadn’t set yet so I went to hunt since I was running low on food. After I left my cave I was quickly surrounded by dragons, but unlike the normal dragons I had seen until now these were pure black and I didn’t see any signs of the dragon’s intelligence all I saw were beasts. I kept my eyes on the largest as it seemed to be the leader but because of my presence detection I could tell there are about 10 other dragons around me. I could see they were hungry and I knew they wanted me as the main course.
While I looked at them I was remained of one time Goliaths told me about a super-fast dragon that moved faster than the wind that is seemed like the wind itself attacked his enemy’s.
I began picturing how he would have done it, since I have [Wind Acceleration] I could do that but only forward the would chase me if I did that, so instead of just my wings I covered my whole body with air magic, this caused a current of air to begin forming around me. They were all on guard as they saw me doing something, the current got stronger and when I felt it was enough I launched myself. Just like [Wind Acceleration] there was a loud boom that exploded as the current of wind spread out at the same instant I vanished, as the wind spread, deep claw marks appeared all over each of their bodies, in a few seconds the wind stopped and I appeared outside the circle of black dragons, they stayed floating in the air for less than a second before they all fell lifeless.
Kira: that was good I got rid of 10 opponents easily and I figured out the trick to a skill from a powerful dragon, today only gets better’ I said as I look back at the dragons falling.
You have met the conditions for evolutions to [Guardian Dragon hatchling].
Do you want to evolve?
Yes/No
Kira: well that’s an obvious question but I wonder what it was, maybe it was killing those dragons’ I though looking back at the spot they fell, and then pressed yes.

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan

(Notice: I'm so sorry to announce this, but this story is going on the shelves for the time being. I love the world more than anything else i've written, but i can't seem to find the motivation to write it further. Once I've got a handle of myself and what's stopping me from enjoying this, I'll finish his story with a burning passion, but until then, I don't want to add anything Sub-Par to it. Book 3 of the Universe Series This novel continues the adventure from the previous novel, Ocean of Dreams. Each novel is meant to stand alone. Widhbo ( pronounced "wee bow") is a MC who will be in each of the six novels in the main series. The starship Sora had been hurtling through space using its FTL propulsion system toward the Dezba star system for over a decade since leaving the planet Beldora of the Hellsaxe system. The Sora had crash landed on Beldora over a century earlier carrying a couple of aliens from another dimension. The ship came from the Borrugal Realm, a band world associated with what was known as the Tor Galaxy, what we call the Milky Way. Human life on Beldora was never the same. Under the influence of the alien known as Widhbo, Beldora was catapulted from the steam age to the space age. The majority of the scientific advances on Beldora were attributed to the leadership of a brilliant man, Jejliard Castonea, who was secretly manipulated by the alien, Widhbo. When rapid advances in technology inadvertently led to a nuclear war, Jejliard decided to evacuate his family, friends and co-workers on the Sora. The plan was to find a new habitable planet and rebuild civilization until they could safely return home. Much to his despair, Jejliard’s family and friends opted to stay on Beldora to ride out the war underground. Even the other alien, Gengor, stayed behind. Borrowing technology stored in the archives of the Sora, Widhbo managed to transfer the personalities of those staying on the planet into digital storage units known as magitons which could survive indefinitely in cold, sterile space. Living crew members who elected to stay on board the Sora were also uploaded to ensure immortality for everyone in case their life support systems failed en route. Widhbo sought to design a cyber paradise for everyone inside their virtual worlds, but things never go as planned where Widhbo is concerned.
