Chapter 89
POV Momonga
As I stood up from the Round Table and headed for the Throne Room, I noticed the line of maids who bowed to the side as I walked past them. As I was about to walk past them like I always did, perhaps it was the fact that it was the last day, I chose to stop and look at them.
Memories came up as I remembered how we created each and every one of the maids…well mostly Whitebrim-san and his crazy obsession over maids and maid uniforms to be more specific. The crazy madlad and made every maid uniform different for all 42 of the Homunculi maids.
Me: Ah… that’s right. I think it was from then that he started saying that ‘Maid uniforms are justice!’ Come to think of it, I think the manga he’s drawing now has a maid as a main character. Do his assistants cry when he goes overboard on the designs? Ah, Whitebrim-san.
Unfortunately, while he kept in contact, Whitebrim never returned to the game like many others after meeting with Kara-san. Well…since it’s the last day, I might as well see how he programmed her.
I took out the Guild Weapon and pointed at the maid.
Me: Master Source-Open
What I saw was not what I expected. I remember how Hero Hero-san and Whitebrim were the only ones who have programmed the maid but left only the bare minimum for the personality and description but what I saw in there but not a paragraph but rather…
Me: Jesus Christ Kara! When did you even have time to write all of this?
It was filled to the brim and more than what was allowed. I read a couple of lines but already I could tell I was getting into the privates. From the important information of who she thought she was to the smallest details of her favorite food, everything was recorded down…as if she was describing a real person in detail.
Me: Holy crap, how much time did you spend on writing all of this?
I turned to the next maid and checked her as well. Sure enough, she as well had her description filled to the brim. While in one way I was very confused as to how and when she even had the ability and time to change all of this, I thought about it for a second.
This would not be the first time she had abused her authority as the GM’s boss’s daughter. She often gave the admins a ‘fuck you’ when they found out she was doing something that might break the balance of the game so discovering that she had done something like this without the guild weapon was not entirely surprising. What was more important to me but the fact that she spent so much time and effort into this game.

Deep down, I harbored a fear. A fear that others would leave this place and I would be left all alone without anyone to be there with me. For a while, it seemed as if that nightmare might become true as others began leaving the game due to negligence, or more important issues to face in the real world. Until Kara came along and solved everything at once. She turned the game into real life for everyone. She gave the guild a new purpose to enjoy the game once again, without having to worry about what we used to. For that, I was grateful.
Me: …thank you for your hard work Kara. It’s deeply appreciated. Though I don’t know why you’re not the guild master if you’re going to do stuff like this. You should’ve just asked for the role.
As I walked into the Throne room, I greeted Sebas, Touch Me’s greatest pride and joy. I also greeted each of the Pleiades who Peroponcino often times jokingly referred to them as ‘Fap Material’ in which Touch Me and Bukubukuchagama would often beat up the perverted bird later if Kara, Herohero or one of the creators happened to be in a 10 mile radius when he said that.
I look around the Throne room another time…taking in the beautiful artwork. The result of all the time and effort that was spent creating it.
The high ceiling and the surrounding walls were a predominantly white color, with golden decorations as highlights. The numerous chandeliers which hung from the ceiling were made of precious stones of all colors of the rainbow, and they emitted a fantastic, dreamlike radiance. Numerous flags emblazoned with different symbols hung from flagpoles sunk into the walls. A total of forty two of these flags swayed gently in the wind, from the ceiling to the floor.
In the center of this room that was tinted gold and silver, there was a flight of stairs about ten steps high. Atop these stairs was a gigantic throne (where I was sitting right now), carved out of a single piece of crystal, whose back was high enough to touch the ceiling above it. A huge red banner hung down behind it, proudly displaying the symbol of the guild.
I looked to my right to see Albedo, that beautiful NPC. Tabula made his perfect Waifu but sometimes I wondered if it was really his idea to give me a boner in real life by creating my perfect waifu. Seriously, who wouldn’t love this girl. She was the definition of (standard) beauty.

She was a beautiful woman who wore a pure white dress, and the faint smile on her face was that of a goddess. In stark contrast to her dress, her hair was a flowing, lustrous jet-black that reached down to her waist. Although her golden irises and vertically-slitted pupils were somewhat odd, apart from those she could easily be considered a world-class beauty. However, a pair of curled horns sprouted from the sides of her head. In addition, a pair of black-feathered wings emerged from her waist.
Perhaps it was because of the horns, but her divine smile seemed like a mask that concealed her true feelings. She wore a golden necklace that patterned after a spiderweb. It extended from her shoulders down to the tops of her breasts.
Once upon a time, Albedo once held a World Item that Tabula gave her but Kara immediately bought it off of him for a ridiculous sum of money and took it back to her guild, Society, where I swear they were planning on World Domination. If they would just accept more members, I was confident that they had enough firepower to burn down the World Tree…scratch that, they probably already did that during Ragnarok. I remember they were off doing something crazy before they removed their level limit and burning down rival guilds left and right.
Because of Society’s obsession with World Items, nobody was allowed to have one unless they deemed it not worthy of their time and effort to go get it…which was only 4 world items. Once I’ve looked at their capabilities, I had to agree they were just shitty items given the title of ‘World Item’. Of course, even this had one exception.
With special permission from Kara, Ainz Ool Gown had one World Item…which belonged to me. Actually, it was in my empty ribcage right now. The Red Orb of Avarice was the one and only world item that deserved the name of World Item without it being in the hands of Society. It wasn’t much but it essentially gave me a massive power-up beyond any item could at the expense of 5 levels after its’ use. Apparently it also had a hidden function and trigger but Kara wouldn’t tell me what it was.
I turned my attention back to the feathered beauty next to me and wondered. What kind of backstory does she have?
Me: Master Source-open
I immediately gave up after realizing that there was probably more words in her description than the Holy Bible. But instead I scrolled all the way to the bottom.
Me: Jesus Chirst Tabula. Why would you do this to your own creation?
She is deeply in love with Tabula, though she is a slut.
*sigh* Well, it was the last day after all. It shouldn’t matter but I change this to.
*type* *type*
She is deeply in love with Momonga. She thinks of Kara as her daughter and wants to dote on her more than anything
Judging that more than half of her programming was done by Kara, it seemed fitting that I put that line there. Kara should’ve already downloaded this world and saved it onto her private server so she wouldn’t realize.
As I finished making the changes, I looked up and at all the flags that hung in the Throne Room.
Me: A relic of the past, huh? …mine, Touch Me’s,
And like that, I named all forty two of us. Every one of us that contributed to building this home and making this place a dream.
Me: Yeah~ I guess it was all worth it…It was fun while it lasted.
As the last seconds ticked closer to the promised time, I closed my eyes and prepared for the end…except it never came.
Me: …huh? Could it be they delayed the server shutdown?
Or was this some sort of compensation for those who continued to play the game until the last moments? I had no idea what was happening…except something felt a little odd.
Me: Wait…
The Command Console! The Menu! The Menu was gone! The GM should make an announcement of this sort of thing usually, what was happening??!
Me: What…on earth happened? Where’s the GM call function??!!
Albedo: My Lord?
Me: …!!
?: Looking for this?
Me: Who…?
?: Hey Momonga! I’m afraid this is the closest thing to a GM call you’re going to get. It’s Kara by the way

Campaign: A Project Starfarer Sidestory
This novel’s lore, story and characters are entirely fictitious. Certain long-standing countries, institutions, organizations, agencies, and public offices are mentioned, but their histories and the characters involved are wholly imaginary. "What will you do with your freedom?"Growing up in a meritocracy, infamous for being lawless, Jordan Astros had been repeatedly asked this question, since times unmemorable. In a society where one's accomplishments and skills were tallied and ranked in order to determine one's standard of living however, Jordan quickly grew to understand that 'freedom,' was a reward earned by accumulating Merit. And so, after his 17th birthday, Jordan departed his Clan's habitat in orbit of Europa to embark on his century-long journey to rise from E-Ranker to S-Rank. And spread his name throughout the Galilean Powers. *** Campaign is a sidestory within its NanoPunk parent series, Project Starfarer. (Yet to be published. Be on the lookout for it!) In which the first transhuman known to humanity, the Starfarer, invokes a plan to seed terrestrial life throughout the galaxy. Campaign takes place around the middle of that timeline and explores the life of a key figure in that universe, Jordan Astros. And explores one of four great nations thriving in the Solar System during that time. A Meritocracy that spans Jupiter and its 79 moons, The Galilean Powers. What you'll find in Campaign: Brutal melee combat in airless and pressurized low gravity environments. A technology based progression system influenced by merit and accomplishments; using tech that's theoretically possible to exist in the near-future. An exploratory perspective of the dozens of Galilean societies, or 'Powers,' from Jordans; and sometimes others', POV. What you wont find: Romance. Harems. An MC who receives shortcuts, handouts, learns things unnaturally fast or has OP plot armor. Jordan is not a special individual. Jordan is not OP and he likely never will be. He's no different than any other citizen in the Galilean Powers and will certainly face as many defeats as he does wins. He'll suffer losses and grow as an individual, while the Powers evolves around him as well. This is semi-hard sci-fi/NanoPunk and takes place in a fictional version of our future solar system. Centered around technology that's plausible in the near-centuries to come. Everything abides by the laws of physics/thermodynamics (As best that I understand them, at least. I'm no scientist.) No artificial gravity, inertial dampeners, teleportation, FTL, or hand-wavy materials will be found in the Project Starfarer universe. Just advanced automation, nanotechnology, cybernetics and AI. Set in the backdrop of space. *I do not own the photo used for the cover*
