Chapter 39
…
Diana: Kara, are you really planning on staying like that?
Me: (I don’t see the problem. Nobody will bother me if I act like a pet)
Diana: Which is…?
Me: (Being cute, getting pet, and sleeping when I want to)
Diana: Now I want to be a pet…*sigh* Why didn’t I get a cute Zoan type fruit? But is my baby dragon mode look fierce and powerful as well?
Me: (You can cast illusion though)
Diana: But that’s all that is to it. In the end, I’m not really changed. It’s just a temporary illusion to trick the senses.
Me: (It’s alright sis. I’m a healing animal so you can feel better by petting me)
As I curled up on her lap and got in my sleeping position, she started to pet me again.
Diana: Just a little over two decades ago we were fighting gods…I can’t believe it. It’s been over 4 thousand years but sometimes I still wonder if this is not just one long dream.
Me: (Zzzzz…uh, what?)
Diana: Just sleep. I’ll get everything ready by the time you wake up again.
POV Diana
I bet multiple times against my crew mates on what Kara could sleep through during her nap time. This included construction, fixing PXS-1.0, hitting an anvil right next to her and also removing her bed. I bet that she would sleep through all of it and I won them all.
It’s one of the wonders of how all of them doesn’t even come close to waking her and a single alarm clock that is nowhere as loud can do that job.
Kara: kuu~
As she continued to sleep on my lap, I messaged a few people needed for the trip. Or rather called the elders to organize it for me.
In ten minutes, we had a carriage without a symbol drawn by Pitch black horses. Mihawk as our bodyguard and a Doppelgänger as the horse men (or the guy that takes care of the horses). We also decided to bring one of the Librarians along who would serve as our informat as he knows how to read the native language.
Me: *Widen Magic. Gate* Alright, let’s go.

We appeared a few miles outside of the Imperial Capital as we rode through the gate. Easily passing through border control with forged documents, Doflamingo’s work. As we made our way through the streets, I was finally able to see the fantasy world I had dreamed of for long.
Me: Kara, wake up!
Kara: muu~
Fun fact, it also looks like she responds to my voice as well.
Kara: We’re almost there. Librarian, could you go and buy the best seats please?
Librarian: Of course Diana-sama. It would be my honor.
With that, he exited the carriage to buy the VIP seats. He returned moments later with a seats for everyone…quite literally.
Our main interest was really looking into how weak the denizens of this world were. Exactly how much is considered strong and how do other factors play a role in their fights. For example, talents.
Some dangerous talents or ‘talents’ (as in our definition of talents) were too great to ignore. We had already set plans for Enri, Neia, and Nfirea. Their powers, while weak, had great potential. Especially Neia as an evangelist.
Before sis exited the carriage (with me in her arms), she put a high level illusion on her face. We walked straight into the VIP seats (which we bought entirely for ourselves).
We sat comfortably (with me still in sis’s arms) as we watched the games unfold. While it was unfortunate that the martial lord did not participate today, we’ve got to see a few champion of the arenas. It seemed most of the better gladiators were once adventurers that had the rank of Mithril. He won all of the games he was in today.
Then in the middle of nowhere…
Crowd: *cheer!!!* *yelling*
Announcer: Please stand up as you welcome his Imperial Majesty, Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix!!
Diana: So the Empire has a new Emperor…and it’s that guy as well.
As foreign nobles, or as we were trying to look our part, we did not stand up but we gave him a little bit of respect by turning to face him and then facing down as a semi-nod/bow.
Me: (The guy next to him would be Fluder. Did we make any moves for him yet?)

Diana: No yet, but we can now. Things are wrapping up everywhere else.
Me: (Later when we walk out, we can make the Librarian cancel his Magical seal for a single split second, that should be all he needs)
Diana: He’ll need to meet Fluder before that to introduce himself and all and afterwards reveal it.
Me: (Luck will take care of the rest. We have a higher luck stat than Ainz)
Luck did work out as when we were about to leave, we ran into Jircniv also trying to leave the arena.
Diana: Your Majesty
She gave him a small nod and continued to walk past him. Usually something like this would be something akin to earning a death sentence, but we were foreign nobles. Rules don’t really apply exactly as it should.
Librarian: Your Majesty…and teacher! Please, take this card. If you are ever interested in the art of arcane runes…please come over.
Fluder took the card with an extremely bored face before just putting it in his face without even looking. He probably thought that this was just another fan of his spewing out some minor achievements not worth looking twice at.
Jircniv: Such a cute fox, where did you buy it?
Diana: I did not buy her your majesty. I found her out in the northern woods, alone.
Jircniv: Personally I would like such a fox to join my collection of exotic animals. Tell me, how much for the fox?
For a slight second, the earth trembled as sis’s ability manifested on accident.
Diana: I…have. no .intention. of .selling. her .your .majesty.
She grit her teeth as she said the words. It was forceful and rude but Jircniv understood the message and thankfully didn’t push it.
Jircniv: The fox must be like family to you. I am sorry for asking, I did not mean it in that away.
With that, he began walking away and Fluder was just about to follow when…
Me: (now)
The Librarian’s magic seal was turned off and his suppressed aura flew out. While most people can’t sense it, much less see it, Fluder saw the scene wide and clear.
While only Level 80, we programmed him to be a sage capable of teaching and learning magic exceptionally quickly. Quite like Fluder but smarter and actually loyal to the crown. As soon as the aura was released, Fluder buckled as he saw it.
Fluder: Wha…?
Me: (Enough)
The aura was sealed and things went back to normal. We began walking away and when Fluder tried to follow us, the Librarian took out another card and then simply put it back in his pocket. Giving him the message of where to find him.
Jircniv: Fluder-dono?
Fluder: *huff* *huff* …it is nothing Jircniv boy. Let us go…
The res of the day was spent doing things we’ve always wanted to do in a fantasy world. First we went to a Commoner’s Diner and tried to eat as much as we can. We caused a bit of a stir when we entered since they never expected a noble (or someone that looks like a noble) would eat at their place.
There was one drunk guy who apparently had his life ruined by a noble so in his drunken state, he came over and yelled shit at us before trying to hit sis. Something about stealing wives and businesses. Mihawk put a quick end to it by pressing the man against the floor quite hard. Enough to make sure he stays down. As an apology to the diner owner we decided we’ll buy the food for everyone that day. One which got a lot of cheers and orders for the ‘most expensive drinks’.
With the rate at which Doflamingo was sucking money out of the country, the money we spent today was barely noticeable.
Finally, we arrived at our high-class inn which the Librarian had already booked for us. And we waited, we waited, and finally there was a knock on the door.
Mihawk: Who is this?
As the door creaked open, we saw an old man with a crazed look in his eye. As if he found the goal of his life…but it was just slightly out of reach.
Fluder: Excuse me my Lady, I would like a chance to talk with your…uh…fellow old man?
