《Liberty in the Overlord Universe》15. NPC Creation Part 3

Chapter 15

3 years passed since the game started and quite a lot of things have changed. First, due to ‘Society’s actions in killing the most Raid Bosses, World Threats, Other Guilds, and owning the most World Items, we gathered quite the attention and became the unofficial number 1 guild. The 1st ranked guild was a massive Humanoid Guild that had over 20 thousand members. While we were confident in our ability to take them on, creating direct enemies like them so early in the game would be quite tiring.

Back in real life, I turned 9 years old and my sis 14. In education, thanks to online schooling which anyone can go at their own pace, I was finishing up high school while sis was finishing up her bachelor’s in Computer Science.

Whether due to our intellect, unusual actions or whatever it was, we became quite the celebrity…or rather something like ‘Someone famous’s daughters’. In other words, there were more stuff on the internet than we liked about us than we were comfortable with. Well, we already expected this and had some experiences so it was nothing more than a minor annoyance.

Regarding our Guild base, it can always be better since perfection doesn’t exist…yet, I’m confident that we have created the most solid defense in all of Yggdrasil. This is how it went.

After creating our crew members, we began the Multi-world quest for World Items. It was here where we seriously abused our dad’s position in the game. We knew his Login Username and password so it became very easy. Of course, since the game scans the user when in game, we couldn’t do that, but something that wasn’t as carefully guarded was his own computer. Since it was also his own personal computer, it was already connected to the private network where all we had to do was enter the information and press enter.

We searched the entirety of the World Tree for the World Items as well as a few important things we might need…jotted all of them down on a separate piece of paper as to not make it traceable before closing it down again. ‘Leave No Trace’, the wise words of a thief.

Once we knew the location, it was easy. All the World Items which were still hidden around the world were easily found as we knew exactly which mine, tree, rock, or wherever it was. What boss we needed to beat, how we needed to match the conditions…it was easy.

Then, after getting a whopping total of 50 World Items in a single year (like a rush), we began raiding smaller guilds that were hiding the World Items. We made it seem as if we were after their money and a raid of this scale was ok for us (making ourselves look weaker than we really were so they would not suspect us). Of course, the guilds that were attacked stayed silent most of the time as well. Since if word got out that their World Item was stolen, they’ll be beaten all over the server to get information regarding the World Item to know about its functions and capabilities. It is important to remember that this was still in the early days of the game.

In some cases where the guilds do openly complain about how they lost their World Item to us, we just needed to show them why we were called the Unofficial Number 1 Guild of the Game. We went back and completely crushed them and their Guild Weapon. Broke every wall and item as to financially cripple the. After this, they understood the message…even the other guilds.

When we came back, we started to work on our other NPCs as well. NPCs which were crucial to the guild. Some would be ridiculously powerful while others useful in other ways.

First, we created 4 Area Guardians…which we made the 4 Original Emperors of the Sea. Namely Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Red Haired Shanks, Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom), and Kaido. It felt strange looking at past enemies who now had absolute loyalty for us, especially more so since we killed 3 of them (SPOILER ALERT! but…this is a sequel for it so if you didn’t read the previous novel then it’s on you). Each of them…of course, level 100. Any less would have been an insult to their power and strength.

We put Whitebeard and Shanks into some open areas of the guild so they can easily be deployed to anywhere in the dungeon at a moment’s notice.

Kaido was placed with Alisha on the 8th floor. Acting as her shield and the absolute tank that would block, kill, everyone. We included a defensive World Item in the creation of Kaido…nobody was going to get past him.

Finally, we put Big Mom as the Guardian of the treasury. Since she was always so sure about her sweets in her past life, I thought if we just change that into Gold and money, she would do a great job at defending it. While her strength stayed, we needed to change her personality and intelligence level a lot. Obviously, we can’t have a giant obese old woman who has the intelligence of a 5 year old but the power of a God running around in a rampage inside where we keep all of our valuables. Overall, it worked. Just like with Kaido’s nobody was going to get through Big Mom.

Finally, we decided to slightly copy Nazarick’s 6 Pleiades…but with our own style. Going with our One Piece theme from our previous life, we created the 7 Warlords.

We put together the real OG 7 Warlords and not the weird ones which joined later on. Sir Crocodile, Jimbei, Donquixote Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, Bartholomew Kuma, Gecko Moria, and Dracule Mihawk.

Unlike Nazarick which had a lock on their 3000 Levels, we had an abundant 4000 Levels and honestly we could ask/buy get more…so we gave them all a generous Level 80 or more.

Something we did not expect ourselves until the last moment was giving Gecko Moria a level 100 as Undead. While we personally hated his character design, we couldn’t help but agree that his powers as both an undead and later own as the holder of the Kage Kage fruit would greatly help the guild. By making him into an Overlord, just like Momonga, but making serious changes to his character looks, we now had our own minion who could summon and control infinite amounts of undead soldiers.

We double checked his character input to make sure he was no longer lazy, stupid. Most importantly, we tied his thought process to loyalty to us above anything else. Someone with that much potential could not be allowed to be like he was before.

The other Warlords were given an almost matching build as before. We searched through our memories to give them their unique fight pattern from their previous lives as much as possible. Even though they were already level 100, their abilities would be unlocked with the death of the Tree and every overlap would be stacked.

Other than the fodder we had prepared, that was the main body of the fighting force of the guild. We didn’t feel like recreating our fellow Marine Admirals since…well, we weren’t on the best of terms but we also weren’t so bad. Overall, it was a bit awkward. Strangely enough, former enemies were fine. Looks as if as long as they’re not on the ‘awkward’ line, it’s all good.

We still have a lot of time before the transfer; 9 more years to be precise, but we need the place to be up and running under any circumstances. It’s hard to prioritize what to do. Is it more important to conquer other guilds that were just found or confirmed to hold a World Item? Or should we be creating more NPCs?

There’s so much to do, thanks to God that there are still a lot of time left.
