《Afterlife - Next World's Auction House》Wild-Wild West!

With some light rations packed in Decarbia's inventory, we arrived at the entrance of the dungeon. Being ‘carried’ by two girls through a dungeon, was definitely not in my plan of 'how I want to spend my next life', however... there wasn’t much I could do about it.
While Alexandra reached level 19 in her Elf Hero Job and after being taught by Decarbia, not only did she become stupidly proficient with her spells, but also acquired Space-Time magic which is currently at level 2... It truly made me amazed at how much of a cheat elf the girl was. Decarbia herself was not that far behind either. Maybe from a different perspective she was even worse… Not only did she broke through level 32, but she also acquired Compound magic... that broken skill actually allowed her to combine two (or more) types of magic and create different types of new ones, based on her comprehension. Initially I didn’t think that much about it... But when you have a trio made of two impossibly smart and talented magicians as well as an AI that holds a shit-ton of knowledge about pretty much everything… I started to wonder how hard could it be to create something like, for example, a hydrogen explosion in a targeted area, by simply lighting up the Hydrogen atoms in the atmosphere?
The result of my impulsive advice to the three of them was... an absolutely devastated second floor of the South Earth Dungeon and burns all the way down to the shoulder plates on my back, while trying to shield the two dimwits from the blast. It hurt so badly that I almost shat myself, but thank Reaper Alice was nearby. I am not sure if my chaotic disposition influenced my choice in order to save Alexandra back then, or it was for this specific moment in order to preserve whatever little dignity I had left...
Anyway… now that Decarbia was teaching Alexandra the basics behind the Compound magic skill, I was sweating more and more profusely while triaging through the loot on the ground from the dead sheep. Obviously, they were blasted into the nether by a lightning storm, courtesy of the one and only Decarbia.
Why was I sorting through what I needed and what I didn't? Yesterday we maxed out D's inventory and we weren't able to bring out more than half of the loot. That resulted in the overall time the dungeon took to refresh, to decrease by 5 seconds. Not much, I know, but with our continuous grinding, we might be able to enter immediately in the near future...
"Infinite grinding? What beautiful words!"
[Master, I found another [Blacksmithing] manual.](D)
"Finally! Great job D! Now we have three Blacksmiths! It will be easier in the future to get good weapons and other useful stuff. I guess that does it... Should we move to the second floor?"
[Sure!](Alexandra)
This girl was excessively eager to have a go at it, simply because she didn't get a chance to show off on the first floor... To her utmost happiness, D allowed her to take care of more than 90% of the slimes by herself.
The loot from the second floor was different types of ore and something called slime juice. I was dumfounded when I read the item's name initially, but after Mia made some ‘inquiries’ to the main system and some experiments back at the camp, she gave me an amazing answer: alcohol! These beautiful blobs of amazing cuteness can be refined into alcohol through a fermentation process!
The slime juice was collected with great gusto, while we selected only specific metals and minerals that we might need in order not to overburden the inventory. Another surprise was the fact that footwear actually dropped as well.

Common grade shoes (LvL 0)
Effect: none
Description: Lowest quality of footwear found in a dungeon. They are pretty much useless, as they don't do anything for the user.
Nothing much… but then again, they were heavily needed in our camp. That, combined with the fact that they could adjust themselves to the wearer's foot size, made this second floor an absolute blessing for our camp. We only had some makeshift sandals that weren't much. However now, the risk of frostbites in the winter decreased to zero, given that we wool-based socks became available as well. Yup! Our tailors worked their asses off and we have some wool spinners based on Mia's competent schematics... it reminded me of the sleeping beauty story for some reason when looking at the thing, making me stay away from the needle for some reason...
Later on I also decided that, since we used the South Earth Dungeon for grinding materials and Culture Points and pretty much every member of the dungeon diving unit has either skills or magic related Jobs, they will be able to grind alone without Alexandra or Decarbia in the future, if they coordinate properly.
Me? Well, I could probably use better magic than both of them combined, due to a new entry in my Status Page…

The annoying part was that I no longer got any sort of attribute boost from eating... It might have something to do with my level and the fact that I also have 135 Free attribute points which I still haven't assigned as of yet. Not only that, but I noticed that once I couldn't strengthen myself through eating, each level up gave me +1 attribute point in all major stats.
"It's something..."
Pandora’s Gift – Pandemonium
As a mother's gift for her children, born from the heart of the oldest star in the universe, the craftsmenship of a supreme existence that exceeded perfection in blacksmithing and most of all, a mother's love.
Ability: able to coppy any sort of magic related skill the user has ever seen
Description: "To my beloved first-born son, as a reminder that nothing can stand in the path of hardwork."
Pandora’s Gift – Imaginarium
As a mother's gift for her children, born from the heart of the oldest star in the universe, the craftsmenship of a supreme existence that exceeded perfection in blacksmithing and most of all, a mother's love.
Ability: able to materialize anything the user can imagine, as long is not outside the current technological era
Description: "To my beloved first-born daughter, as a reminder that flexibility comes from one's power of imagination."
So yeah… after that dream, exactly as the voice said, the two rings appeared on my ring fingers of each hand as if they were always there to begin with. The left one that could, based on my own imagination, become anything I will it to and the right one that enables me to use any sort of magic I have seen before. I didn’t exactly have a chance to check out the skills so far, therefore the purpose of this expedition.

In addition, for the first time we are to explore the third floor of this dungeon. Given the earth attribute monsters that appeared so far, I was curious to see what else would pop-up next.
“Let’s go you two! I will take point the next level while the two of you provide support.”
[Understood!](Alexa)
[Yes master!](D)
I was truly excited to try out the two new toys, given the infinite possibilities both of them had in my mind. That and the fact that I would surely be able to strut my stuff in front of two absolute beauties.
“I wonder what sort of face they will make…”
The third level was a rocky field filled with thousands of boulders, stretching for as far as the eye could see. Not only that, there wasn’t only stone present but other minerals as well. I used Identify on them and the result made me nod in agreement with just how much the dungeon followed the earth attribute theme.
“Silver and iron ore in absolutely huge amounts, but no monsters in sight…”
[Should I?](D)
“Nope. I will take point like I said. Activate Pandemonium!”
The shadow on my right ring finger became corporal and a platinum bland looking trinket appeared on it. Hmm… appearance wise, 10 points for the flashy appearance, but 2 points for looks…
“The hell!? Why does it look so bland!? Moreover, what is with the pitying eyes from these two…? Shit! This disappointing little shit!”
“Ahem! Let’s see… First off, I should check if there are any monsters on this floor… Radar! Whisper of the living!”
A ripple similar to a droplet of water hitting the calm surface of a lake could be heard in the silent rocky space and with it, a mana wave spread out in each direction of the floor. Alexandra and Decarbia were slack-jawed when they sensed what I was doing and had stupefied looks on their faces. It made me recover from the depression caused by the shitty looks of the ring.
As for the skill I just used, the Pandemonium ring can copy any sort of magic spell or mana based skill I have ever seen, including Clara’s, the cheat guild master from the demo world Reaper pushed me in. I wanted to try some others but this one was required first.
Pandemonium ability activated!
Radar skill successfully replicated! 50MP have been used!
Whisper of the living successfully replicated! 50MP have been used!
The feeling that rushed over me made me shudder involuntarily, while my head felt like it was splitting apart from the sheer volume of information I received. I could tell each blade of grass apart from each other and it felt like every living being had its own unique signature, allowing me to sense their location. The pain subsided and all that was left was a clear picture of the entire floor…
“That’s strange… There is only us three on the entire floor. There are no other living beings beside us here…”
[Master, you can use such a large area spell!?](D)
“…I guess…”
[But Michael… you didn’t have any magic related skills in your Status Page… Is it because of your Job?](Alexa)
“You can look at it that way I guess…”
There’s no way I can explain to them that I have this power because I had a dream about some rings that someone else had to begin with and a voice in my head told me I possess them as well… That sounds absolutely bonkers when said aloud!
“Let’s move out slowly. I wasn’t able to pick up any traps so this floor might be a safe area or a trap room, if no monsters are present. Stay behind me and step where I step. I don’t want to take any chances.”
As cool as that might’ve sounded, after the first step landed on the grass, a grand formation lit up in the air above us. Then the same type of magic circle was slowly forming on the ground as well, with us in the middle making me want to cry…
Moreover, if that wasn’t enough, the previous thousand boulders started glowing in a really conspicuous way, while also vibrating violently.
[Golems!](D)
“Hah!? How did you reach that conclusion?”
[Magic formations are used by demons both as offensive and defensive means. This specific type might be a defensive one that activates the guardian golems once somebody intrudes in the designated territory.](D))
“So we are the intruders… I knew that I just couldn’t show off without interference…”
[That’s not the problem Michael… Look at those huge things! Why are they still growing!?](Alexa)
The ‘things’ she was referring to, were the humanoid golems that kept growing more and more in height, now towering over three meters each. Not only that, but their levels and attributes differed depending on the metal or mineral they were made from.

It didn't took a genius to see how the Iron Golem was the Boss of the floor and that the only skill existing on this floor and belonging to the monsters, gave that bastard 1000HP. Before I could even start complaining about the idiot that created such absurd monsters on the third floor of a dungeon, over a thousand of the said creations began hurtling stones at us from a distance, hiding the ceiling of the floor from our eyes.
“Motherfucker! You two, get behind me! Imaginarium, activate!”
The shadow on my left ring finger became corporeal as well, as the image of a coiling dragon devouring its own tail appeared. A bit happy about the fact that at least this one looked its part but unable to properly enjoy such a feeling due to the rocks which might burry all three of us where we stood.
“Dome transformation! Pandemonium ring, activate! Mana attribute infusion! Wind!”
In a panicky manner, I kept blurting orders to the two rings while hoping I won’t be crushed without having sex first. However, my luck wasn’t bad…
Imaginarium activation successful!
Protective dome realized!
Pandemonium activation successful!
Mana infusion skill successfully copied!
Using 50MP for the activation and wind attribute infusion and 10MP/sec to maintain the infusion!
According to my imagination, a glass like dome covered a space three meters around the three of us in all directions, while currents of air appeared to flow around it, both enveloping it as well as flowing inside of it. It was akin to a three layered protection field with a static and two moving ones. The fast moving currents above moved clockwise and the one under the static dome manifested by the Imaginarium moved counterclockwise at impressively fast speeds.
The girls were just as surprised as I was, but when stones began raining upon us, we were forced into a high-alert state. The first impact ‘rocked’ the barrier, making me believe that it will easily pierce through. However, it didn’t!
Instead, the rock and the following ones behind were loudly broken into small pieces by the first wind layer, passed through the static dome and were turned into fine dust by the third layer also made from wind as well. I began sweating again as I realized that the dome the Imaginarium manifested wasn’t a physic one since it didn’t even slow down the fall of the rocks.
[Amazing!](D)
[It looks beautiful…](Alexa)
“It won’t for long since we will be buried in dust soon enough… Extend dome! Add extra water attribute mana infused layer!”
[Pandemonium ring successfully activated! Water attribute mana infused layer added! Expended 50MP for realization and expanding the dome! MP required to sustain 20MP/sec!]
The dome extended up ten meters in all directions including upward, as a bluish layer spiraled around the third layer as well. Soon though, that fourth layer became brown due to the dust infusion it received. Seeing the golems confused about their attack having no effect and preparing to throw again, my legs almost gave out.
“I don’t have sufficient mana to keep doing this forever! We need to take out the golems you two! D you take the right side, Alexa you take the left. I will handle the middle! They don’t have any magic resistance but they do have absurd amounts of HP and Strength! Don’t get hit by them and attack from afar! Imaginarium, retract! Imaginarium, activate! Dual Desert Eagle! Pandemonium, retract! Pandemonium, activate! Infuse wind attribute mana in the two weapons!]
Imaginarium retracted!
Imaginarium realized!
Custom Desert Eagles created!
Pandemonium retracted!
Pandemonium successfully activated!
Using 100MP to infuse the two weapons and an extra 10MP for each bullet used!
Seeing the command successful once again, I could barely contain my excitement. Not only that, but two platinum pistols now rested in my hands, as currents of flowing cold air infused in them. This, without a doubt, had to be…
“…the coolest shit I’ve seen in my entire life! Holly fuck! They actually appeared! Look at this shit! They are absolutely beautiful! Hahahaha!”
Ignoring the slightly scared gazes of the two beauties preparing to run by my side, I directly pointed the two pistols at two different golems.
*Bang!* *Bang!*
Two sounds similar to hand cannons went off and my slightly unprepared hands almost lost the grip on the weapons. The result was also scary…
Critical damage inflicted! -560HP! Critical damage inflicted! -630HP!
The bullets landed on the left hand of a golem and the other on the hip of another, both easily creating holes in the stupidly large bodies. Seeing the difference in damage values, it was obvious that if I could hit a more important spot like the head, the damage inflicted will go up as well.
In that case…
“It’s time for some wild-wild west action!”

Prince of Destiny
Karl is the last prince of a royal house that has been overthrown by brutal revolutionaries. Orphaned by the revolutionaries, he was rescued and has been raised in secret by Leevana, a green skinned night-hag, for the past ten years. When Karl turns sixteen and is old enough to embrace his destiny, he and Leevana must set out on a quest to find his royal grandmother. But the depraved new leader of the revolutionaries, Joe Steel, is on their trail... Somewhat inspired by the basic concept of Don Bluth's fairy tale animated feature, purporting to be based on the myths surrounding Anastasia Romanov. I don't think this counts as a fanfiction, because it does not use anyone else's characters and it is in its own self-contained world, but please keep in mind the inspiration. Leevana and Karl are completely original characters, but Joe Steel, the bigger bad, is inspired by Stalin. Maybe let me know if you think it should have a fanfiction tag or not.

"In my defense, I hadn't actually been trying to get hit by a truck." Artemis wakes up alone in a giant futuristic facility with no hint of where she is, how she got here, or what this means. Yet within two weeks, she is shot at with all the guns, a voice is beginning to speak in her head, and she is tormented by a seemingly sentient and possibly trollish space Roomba. Her only hope is Scarlet, another girl who is a complete stranger and almost shot her in the head. Oh, and she has fox ears and a tail. That is possibly worth mentioning. Artemis is not a nerd. She has never heard of the isekai genre, she can't fight worth a damn, and the blue-collar skills she learned at her community college are absolutely useless in a universe where technology is often indistinguishable from magic. She only has one thing going for her: A mysterious ability to interface with highly advanced technology left behind by the Antecessors, the long lost precursor civilization with technology that no one has been able to adequately replicate. Finding herself in a universe where civilizations are locked in an interstellar Cold War, where societies are so stratified that the aristocracy commands fleets of starships while slaves wash clothes with their hands, Artemis decides to run away from it all. She has a ship. She'll find a crew. She'll find a way to make a living at the fringes of civilization, learn how to cope with danger, and survive the affections of a universe where everyone is a cute girl with animal ears and tails.
