[Master, does this mean that in 20 minutes worth of wait, we can fight the sheep again?](D)
"Pretty much..."
Seeing this girl raring to have another go at the poor sheep, I prepared for a night's time worth of repeated actions (in which I do nothing much except count on Decarbia to kill and store).
"D, when you used your spell previously, did you see any notifications about the damage you dealt to the sheep?"
[Hmm... now that I think about it, there was something like that. I think it mentioned about 132 monsters dying and a damage value of over 1500 applied in a general area, affecting everything on that hill.](D)
I shuddered when the damage value reached my ears, scaring me stupid. That was more than sufficient to kill me twice over...
"T...That's good to know... "
The time passed and with it, we entered the dungeon again. We found the sheep herd sleeping on the same hill and not missing even a beat, Decarbia sent out a spell she called Fire Storm, scorching the sheep into ash.
By the point where the morning sun finally shone above the forest, we abused the poor sheep on the first floor exactly 10 more times. The amount of ores and wool we acquired was stupidly high and D's inventory was about 75% full according to her estimations.
"Who would've thought that even things like these can drop..."
Common-rank Clothes - a set of normal clothes.
Effect: slight increased defense (1%)
A grand total of 23 such sets dropped, which offered pretty much... nothing. However! These were freaking clothes. There was a shirt and a pair of trousers in each set, which meant that if I can get people to keep grinding here with Alexandra leading the troops, we can get new clothing for the entire camp!
"The only thing left is to create some underwear, however for that one... made from wool... I guess it's better than nothing. And given that I have two new [Tailoring] skill books, I can already have three people focus on clothes for the elves and I could convert the Mining unit.... or better not. For now, I should get members of the dungeon diving unit to make sure we can dress the entire camp..."
"D, we are going to return to camp."
[But I am not tired yet...](D) - she pouted like a little girl
"Haha! It has nothing to do with being tired, however, breakfast will be served soon. I think you might not want to miss it."
[Oh! Go! Let's go!](D)
It amused me how easy to trick this girl was when food was involved. The problem was, that I wasn't sure of how to decide on the 'whom and when' to go grinding...
"I guess Mia could confirm that for me. Hehe! After all the grueling work (done obviously by Decarbia) I broke through level 16, almost breaking through that level as well with 86% of the entire EXP bar full. Not only that, but D was already at level 19 and 34% of the full level. After we both get some good rest, I can get Alexa and the rest to come and grind. Of course, since Decarbia has better control over her magic and it's easier for her to insta-crush the entire floor in one go, she will accompany the rest. That way, it will basically be power-leveling for the dungeon diving unit. Ugh... I guess I could listen to Mia's advice as well first..."

By the time I returned to the camp, the guards on the walls saw me and gestured to the rest to open the gate. However, even from over 15-20 meters away I could see their eyes open as wide as saucers when seeing Decarbia walking behind me and to my amazement, they directly jumped from the walls in front of the gate, spears in hand, obviously prepared for combat.
"Not bad! Not bad at all!" - I nodded my head in approval of their pleasantly fast reaction
[Michael sir! The person behind you?](random elf no 15)
"A companion. Lower your weapons... I am afraid that even with all 6 of you here, you are unable to touch even a strand of hair on her head before you are turned into dust."
Seeing me laugh so uproariously, they had bewildered expressions on their faces and kept sneaking glances at the beautiful, slightly blueish, but still sexy demoness.
It made me sweat profusely, thinking of how Mia and Alexandra will react to having her sleep under the same roof and in the same bed as us. What!? Of course the demon I summoned is my responsability!
"Thick skin! I must rely on my thick skin! A harem is my goal! And a million temples..."
"Oh right! Is the camp awake?"
[The last of the people are waking up, but miss Andrea and her squad already prepared the breakfast for us in the dinner hall.](random elf no 15)
"It still pains me that we don't have a proper building for it yet and only the name."
[Actually Michael sir, miss Mia said that she plans to build it for us. That and something called a bathhouse.](random elf no 15)
"She does huh? Well, that's good I guess... We could slowly build it up, but it will require extra pressure on the building unit and might slow down the rest... Huh!? Why don't we just have everyone else help? That way we will have 200 people focusing on building... Hmm! Thanks for the good idea!"
[Hahaha! My pleasure sir!](random elf no 15)
When we arrived at the dining hall with the guards, all eyes turned to us. Or rather, they riveted on Decarbia's body, mesmerized by her beauty and unusual skin pigment. What made their gazes linger even longer, was the fact that under the heavy rain of so many eyes on her, Decarbia's entire visage was tinged with a trace of red, showing an adorable expression of bashfulness.
Even Mia and Alexandra were looking at her like they found a new puppy to play with and take care of. It made me sigh once I saw the guards bowing to us and going to a different table, while myself and D headed for the same place where Mia and Alexa were sitting at the moment.
"Thick skin! Thick skin!" - I kept repeating to myself
When I sat down next to the two of them and D on my left, everyone was curiously waiting for my introduction. It made me laugh bitterly to myself...

"Everyone, this is Decarbia Astor! She is the first person to be brought over on Midgard by the Chaos God after we were. As you can see she is quite beautiful and unlike most of us she still has her memories intact, meaning that she will be of immense help to our camp. If that is still not enough, the only thing left that I want to add, is that she is currently stronger than Alexandra, up to the point where she cleared under my very own eyes the first floor of the southern dungeon on her own... 11 times in a row... without even being attacked once. D, if you'd please."
Seeing me winking at her and getting what I was hinting at, she rolled her eyes in amusement and gestured to an empty space between the World Tree and us. Following a loud rumble, a literal mountain of well arranged items appeared. The strange part was that it kept increasing in height, which made even me do a double take on it. Just how much wool did we get from those dungeon runs!?
Mia's eyes literally glowed when she saw the materials, especially the wool and the ores. She gave me an 'I know what you have in mind' type of look and smiled sweetly. On the other hand, Alexandra was astonished by the huge purple circle covering the mountain on all sides, turning her eyes to look at D, like she just found her long lost father.
Under the powerful and scrutinizing gazes of everyone else, I waved my hand as signal and she once more, hid all the items back in her inventory. We need to have Mia organize them after breakfast and unloading everything closer to the warehouse will be easier for them to move it inside.
"D, say some words to everyone. Just look at them... they can't wait to hear your voice." - I teased
[Hello everyone! Like master Michael said, my name is Decarbia Astor! Please take care of me now and in the future.](D) - she said after fiercely glaring at me
Mia threw a strange glance at me, after which a feast began. Seeing tears in the corners of Decarbia's eyes, I felt moved by how much she liked the food.
"Oh right! I should hand Mia the lamb meat we got from the dungeon as well. Given that our ingredients list grew, the food variation should as well..."
+2 Wisdom attribute points received! +1 Endurance attribute points received!
After the breakfast ended and D managed to unload all the items, including the lamb meat in the Granary, I quickly consulted with Mia regarding the matter of using all 200 elves to build today, to which she quickly agreed. Not only that, but I told her to look into the ranks of the clothes we found and see if the system hides some sort of ranking list. Also she was to find out if there is a difference between the Soul Tier and Job Tier. Mhm! That should do it for now...
Asking Decarbia to follow me, we quickly arrived to our appointed elven hut. Mia already requested warm water to be ready for us to bathe and while I washed in the kitchen, yet again and she did in the bedroom, I kept explaining the current situation of the elven civilization. Everything from memory loss, to the level of civilization and the monsters which might sooner or later besiege us, Decarbia listened quietly.
When she gave it the green to go, I climbed the stairs to the bedroom where I found her waiting for me on top of the bed, only with her lingerie on. It didn't take the chaos intuition for me to figure out that it was a misunderstanding on her part, but the question in my mind was: do I want to solve it?
"D... I don't want to ask more details about your background, because I hope you will tell me yourself when you are ready. Also, I am not aware of the details of the contracting ritual and in regards to me being a God... as you can see I am a mere avatar of an elf at the moment, therefore you won't find me ordering you to do something you don't want to. So for now, let's wait until you can get to know me better and if your feelings tilt in favor of us being together, I would accept that wholeheartedly."
Seeing the redness go all the way up to her ears, I inwardly chuckled and scolded my perverted mind for wanting to tease her even further.
Nevertheless, I joined her under the sheets and didn't allow her not to sleep in my arms. Before thinking any further, I took a look at my new Status Page, pleased by what I saw.

A Monster's Jaunt
Joshua the Mighty is a hero renowned by none. He is awful at fighting, refuses to take a bath, and is frankly a detriment to all that encounter him. This story, thankfully, is not about him. In a small part of the woods, secluded from human contact, lies the Witches' Grove, a sanctuary for beasts and creatures of all kinds from hunting and destruction. Joshua, through no fault of his own, stumbles into the grove, and is immediately killed for trespassing. This story is about the small shapeshifter that sees him die, and has an idea that will change the world.

Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.
