Seeing their almost identical status pages, I could already imagine these two bonding easily over a pint of beer at the nearby bar. It seems that Nicholas is specialized in STR and END, while Gabriel in STR, DEX and AGI. Also, both have their lifestyle skills already at Intermediate. With such a growth, I might not even need to bother with upgradng them to Tier 2...

Realizing that I should give it at least a good couple of minutes of proper thought, I prompted everyone to indulge in the tempting dishes Denise and her squad created for us. I also quietly ate while pondering.

"There already are elves capable of leading in their own fields, so I should grasp this chance to set up a proper skeleton for my civilization's future government. I could create departments just like back on Earth and give more responsibilities to the 'geniuses'. That way, I will force them to be more actively involved in decision-making regarding our future. Or at least, for starters, they can be exposed to such pressure, learn and grow."

I raised a brow at the rather low amount of points I got (even by my standards) and realized that there is the possibility to reach a full stop soon enough for the shortcut we took. There should be a limit for how much we can we can boost our stats through eating.

At the same time, if the mana concentration in the air, dirt, plants and animals increases thanks to the World Tree, then the shortcut might become available again. But that’s in the distant future…

I took a look around the tables and everyone pretty much finished eating and were patiently waiting for the new arrangements I prepared.

"Alright people! First of all, we will regroup the entire 199 elves. Regarding Alexandra and myself, we will both continue to be part of the dungeon diving unit, while Mia will remain as adviser for all other units due to her extensive knowledge. Secondly, we will change and rename some of the current units as follows. The woodcutting unit, the mining unit and the land reclamation unit will retain their original names; however, under the leadership of Nicholas, Gabriel and Stephanie they will create and lead the Agriculture Chamber. The Agriculture Chamber is responsible for procuring and distributing the resources available in our territory. Regarding future adjustments, those will happen after we will hold our first territory administrative meeting. Congratulations you three!"

There was another fervent amount of shouts and cheers for the first 'officials' of the territory. Until now, myself, Mia and Alexandra held the reins tightly and didn't really give others a chance to grab a piece of the pie. Now however, is time to lessen my workload... considerably!

"Regarding your three units, each one of them will be reduced to only 25 people. I would ask out of the original three units for those who like what they are currently doing to volunteer in order to fill up the required spots. The most important thing is to make sure that you are comfortable with the type of work you are daily performing now! If that condition is met, either now or later down the road, would you find something better or change your mind into the future, the three leaders of the Agriculture Chamber will be responsible for finding where you'll be the best fit for. Seeing such a cute blushing woman, the urge to embrace her almost overwhelmed me. Almost! Now that most of the things were already figured out, there was one final decision to be made. The building unit and the production unit... I have excessively few people at the moment for both to fully operate, so they might need to share the workforce for now.

"Denise, Andrea and Anne! You three will become the leaders of the Building and Manufacturing Chamber. As the name implies it will be split in two units: the Building unit that handles constructions and the Manufacturing unit, which handles tasks like creating new tools, clothes and other useful things for our camp. I need for you to pick including you a total of 50 people... actually, the remaining people will be part of this Chamber, all excepting Simone."

I felt drained of energy already and the day barely started. To my utmost happiness, each squad leader did their job properly and the few elves available as workforce were split faster than pizza on a Sunday. The orders given were obviously still the same, keeping in mind that there weren't really major changes except for the names and the appointment of the said 'officials'. Therefore, the Agriculture Chamber took care of food and the plantation of potatoes, as well as other resources required for building or manufacturing, while the Homeland Security unit dispatched 15 people total to guard them and another 10 operated the walls.

The Adventurer unit and the Building and Manufacturing Chamber will focus on constructing the Monument. Obviously, the Adventurer unit will join only after the morning exercises.

I had everyone depart and start focusing doing their own things, while Simone and I took advantage of her new overpowered skill. Of course, I already dispatched Mia to oversee the construction site, unwilling to overlook such an important thing.

"Alright Simone. From what I can see, your new skill requires a certain amount of basic knowledge regarding the technology you are going to focus on for an entire 15 days. What we're going to discuss is how to create paper."

I could see a deep curiosity in her eyes, making me nod my head in agreement to the system's choice in making her a Researcher. Actually, is it because of their personalities that they get certain Jobs, or do certain Jobs affect their personality?

I shook my head and tried to clear it of useless thoughts, while remembering the skill she got.

After arduously researching until the point of obsession, a single moment of silence takes over you. The solution becomes obvious and you easily achieve a breakthrough.

Requirements: select a subject for research and for a period of 15 days the specialist will focus solely on it. At the end of the 15 days, either a breakthrough is achieved, or a considerable advancement is made, all depending on the amount of initial knowledge regarding the specific subject.

Hint: If your specialist will focus on researching a specific technology, the progress is made up to 50% of the required amount of Research Points, once more, depending on the depth of knowledge he/she has about the subject.

How could I possibly not take advantage of such a cheat!? Divine lightning might strike me otherwise!
