《Afterlife - Next World's Auction House》Day 4 - Night raid

I woke up because of the sound of knocking on my door.
When I looked around me, I saw that the white yukata I was wearing was slightly glowing in the darkness that engulfed both the room and the city outside the window. I requested of Fred and Caitlin to wake me up when is close to 9pm, since there are no alarms in this world.
"I'll be downstairs in a moment. Thank you for waking me up."
[With pleasure Mr. Corbett. Ms. Caitlin wanted me to let you know that Ms. Clara is also waiting for you downstairs.] (Maid)
"Clara is? I guess she's both impatient and excited at the same time. She's like a kid despite her age. Thinking about it, isn't she's like 998 years old? No, no! Let's stop with that. I don't want to die just yet..."
"Thank you for letting me know. I'll get dressed and join in a second."
After changing in my equipment, I noticed that indeed it didn't smell even if the boots have been kind of overused these past two days. Same thing with the clothes.
"I am still glad that Caitlin told me about washing them daily. Since it costs only 2 copper coins, I can't really complain. However, I should buy some more casual clothes soon... I hope Martin will have ready the t-shirt I gave him details about and the pants. Is summer and wearing such thick medieval materials is stuffy and highly uncomfortable."
I got dressed while complaining inside my head, trying to distract myself from how nervous I was. Attacking an entire village of Kobolds with just two people might be suicide, even with the help of the strongest person in this world.
"Good evening Ms. Caitlin, Ms. Clara."
[Good evening Michael. You seem well rested. Should I tell my husband to prepare something for you to eat?](Caitlin)
"Please do. I would appreciate it."
[Of course.](Caitlin)
[I am amazed you managed to sleep so well. How could you sleep like that after throwing all responsibility on me!? It took almost five hours to have all of them get that ring and give them the training regimen for this week. Then I even had to tell Laura, Vincent and Ian what they need to do and then...](Clara)
"I get it, I get it! I'm sorry I left everything to you! However I told you from the start that I won't get involved in the annoying stuff. Plus that you have experience with this sort of thing."
[THAT DOESN'T MEAN IS FUN!!!](Clara)
It took me some time to pacify her and after dinner, we both walked towards the dungeon.
The moon was bright enough for us to see about 10 meters in front of us with no problems and under that moonlight I could also see Clara's facial expressions as clear as in daylight. She was very serious and concentrated. I guess even for her, this might be difficult. I should change the subject and talk about something random to have her relax a bit and diffuse the tension.

"Say Clara. I've been thinking but, if we kill all the Kobolds which might be close to a hundred for example, what are we going to do with all the hides from them?"
[Hmm? I told you before didn't I? We can use them to create strong defense materials since they are infused with mana.](Clara)
"Really? Will they work with anything? Like shields for example?"
[I guess... After all, a smelter will break down all ingredients and using his occupation's skills will grant their attributes to the entirely new mixture they are preparing. So in theory, it should work.](Clara)
"Then it would work for the shields we're going to create for the elite troupe as well!"
[Wait! You don't think it will give stat increase like the ring, do you?](Clara)
"Oh! I didn't even think about that! That would be great wouldn't it?"
I realized at that point that when I awoke first and met Reaper, he did say that the materials can be used to craft better equipment. Therefore, this had a strong possibility of happening exactly as we hope it to. In that case, tonight's raid might be incredibly beneficial for our future endeavors, since it will give our new elite corps another small advantage.
We both walked in silence while contemplating the future prospects and soon entered the dungeon. When we reached the safe room we were greeted by the same foul smell coming from the left tunnel and with a short glance at each other, we nodded and headed inside.
There were no mana crystals in this floor, but the walls and the ceiling were faintly glowing creating barely enough light for us to see where we were stepping.
It was really difficult getting through the maze and reach where I saved those three, since I could barely see what was on the map and using any sort of light would give out our location immediately.
"It should be around here... Be careful as there might be Kobolds around us."
[Give me a second! "Enlighten me about my enemies! Radar" !](Clara)
"A skill?"
[Yes. There are none ahead of us, but there are a bit over one hundred in front of us. That's probably the village, right?](Clara)
"Yeah..."
"How convenient! And with those lights in the distances, that's most likely it. Those might be torches or something of sorts for the guards to use. We are at the place where yesterday I saved those guys. How do we attack them now? Do we rely on guerrilla tactics again? It might be more efficient with two people, but we might not have enough time until morning to kill over a hundred Kobolds while ambushing them for the extra experience..."
[Say Michael, can I try something?](Clara)
"Huh? What? Do you have a skill that might help?"
[I think so. Give me a second.](Clara)

Soon, her green eyes shut closed and I couldn't even hear her breathing anymore. The silence felt ominous and threatening, at such a level that I instinctively took a step back, while the air around her felt oppressive and violent just like standing in front of a natural disaster. But before I could move further, a slightly blue light covered her full body, pushing away the darkness inside the dungeon.
"Blue light...Oi!!!"
"You're shining you idiot! We'll be seen! What are you doing?"
[Is alright, I'm ready. "Cleanse away the impurities in front of you! Nature's wrath" !](Clara)
There were no words that would willingly leave my mouth. After the cringe invocation, the blue light enveloping her body disappeared just like it was a lie and in the distance, we saw the entire area above the Kobold village shining with the same color. Soon, the air started whistling and twisting at high speeds until...
"A tornado!?"
A natural disaster... a cataclysm... a force of nature that held unstoppable power, started ravaging the monster village. Everything from their huts, to the rocks on the ground was being raised into the air and then violently smashed against the cold rock bed floor hundreds of meters away. The image in front of me was so violent and cruel that it made my blood run cold, while shivers ran down my spine.
This was the power of a High Elf! One that lived for close to a millennium now and which's skills and status window I can't fully see. She is impressive and...
"Oi! Don't fall like a rag doll!"
[I am sorry... I was a bit excited and used too much mana... I feel light headed.](Clara)
"Don't use such a stupidly powerful skill if you're going to be useless afterwards! And what's up with that? Why I'm I even here? You completely annihilated the entire village on your own. There's not even their pseudo-fence to be seen anywhere anymore..."
[Is one of my most powerful skills. However I can't exactly use it in the outside world...](Clara)
"No shit! That's a natural disaster you stupid elf! Outside it might escalate on its own and devastate an entire country. What were you thinking?"
[I kind of got excited since we're inside the cave and you said is a different space... I thought it could work out.](Clara)
"This person is no good. 100% no good! But she seems weakened indeed. I wonder how much MP did it use."
"You used almost 1500 MP on that!? What the hell? That's way too overpowered!"
[I told you to stop using your skills on me!!!](Clara)
We kept arguing for another two or three minutes until the tornado vanished and with it, darkness once again filled the entire floor.
[I just used my Radar skill. There are no more enemies in this area.](Clara)
"What? You killed all of them? What about your experience?"
[Oh, right! Let me see... Huh?](Clara)
"What?"
[I leveled up!](Clara)

"There are still so many questions marks but she really did level up. And got a new Job. How did she level up exactly? She said there were a bit more than a hundred Kobolds inside the village and she did killed them with an ambush attack in theory, so she might've got the multiplier. If an average Kobold was level 5 without accounting for who knows what other things are there...that's a shit-ton of experience to gain... It makes sense having her level up... Holly shit, I would like that spell and just spam it here until I reach level 100! What about the new job?"
Dark Archmage
A unique job achieved only by those proficient in mastering elemental magic and using it for mindless slaughter.
All skills mana cost is reduced to 50% and the user receives a one time 1000MP boost.
Requirements- 'Assassin' occupation, element mastery , 50 enemies or more killed with a single skill
"Bullshit cheat character... 1000 extra MP and 50% mana reduction cost... Doesn't that mean that you'll be able to use that bullshit skill at least four times a day? That's utter nonsense..."
[What? What can you see? TELL ME!!!](Clara)
"Easy there you stupid dark elf. You'll kill me if you're not careful..."
[That's rude! And who's a dark elf!? Hurry up and tell me what you've seen!](Clara)
I took my time and explained to her what I read in the description, while we walked towards the Kobold village, or rather, the unlucky place ravaged by a cataclysm, where the Kobold village once was.
She was just as stupefied as I was when she heard everything and said that she will check tomorrow when her mana is full with one of her skills. Just how many does she have!?
"Speaking of which, her skills didn't change, but three others with questions marks were added... Just how strong is this stupid dark-elf?"

Malevolent
Within a generation, the sky, once blue, bled a deep scarlet. Feral beasts roamed the lands and mutated men ravaged civilisations. They carved destruction in their wake. The spawning of new idols worshiped by cultists marked a terrible turn. Finally, a crippling insanity plagued the very few survivors left. Written in the journals of antiquity, lost in time, a scholar wrote: ‘This horrific cataclysm that we face was brought about by humans…’ However, these events are long gone. A longstanding peace has descended to Orbis. Yet, to spite the efforts of the saviours of yore, a progenitor of this calamity has been invited back by ritual. It seeks the return of these very ancient events. A silent peril is on the way.
