Sarah was waiting on Eian's reaction to the news.
"So...It's offical, we're fucked. Actually I don't think theres a word for how fucked we are." Eian.
"Hey man. My guide said if we survive long enough, we can go home." Alex.
"Are you sure?!" Jessica, Alex nodded to her.
"My guide also implied something along those lines. There are probably many ways to get home. Magic has alot of potential and Mind could give the ability to open portals." Sarah.
"So we should all just focus on Mind and take that chance?" Eian.
"No. I think my guide said it's a small chance. Magic is the safest bet and both me and Alex are focusing on that." Sarah.
"And what should I do?" Eian.
"Whatever your guide said. Jessica you still focus on Mind, maybe we'll get lucky and you will unlock Teleportaion." Sarah.
"We don't know how long that could take! We could be stuck here years!" Eian.
"NOOOO!" Jessica wailed.
"Eian, relax man we've gotten this strong in a short time. I'm sure it won't take that long." Alex.
"Actually with bottlenecks it could take a few weeks at least." Sarah.
"No! No!" Jessica.
"Well shhhhiiiiiiiiiit." Eian threw his hands up dramatically.
"Let's just all calm down. We're out of the tunnels. So we just have to find more food and water first, then get stronger." Alex.
"Alex's right people. Crying's not helping. Let's take care of the essencials and worry about that later." Sarah.
Jessica surprisingly calmed down faster than she'd have thought. Sarah watched her carefully, if judged by solely mind she was smarter than her now. She remembered metal-resilience was part of Mind.
-'Hopefully it will help with her whining completely. It's annoying.' Sarah thought.
"Eian, Alex swap armor. Those full suits of knightly-armor are better." Sarah.
"Roger." Alex.
"....Yeah, yeah." Eian
The boys swapped into knightly armor, Alex was ackward in his due to the size difference, he was taller than Eian.
"Eian, take a two handed sword to replace a long-sword." Sarah.
"Why?" Eian.
"You'll be fully armored and the bigger sword is better for swinging incase you don't need the shield." Sarah.
"Can't I just dual-wield, if I don't want to use a shield?" Eian
".....That takes practice Eian. A lot of practice. You'll just bumble it and hurt someone." Sarah.
"Wow....way to encourage people." Eian grumbled, that was another annyoing habit, though at least he was useful.
"I'll take that long-sword then, it's bigger than mine." Jessica added.
"That's a good idea, I'll take one off these guards too." Sarah swapped her short-sword for a long-sword.
He handed the long-sword to Jessica and picked up a two-handed sword.
"Damn. This is a litle weird." Eian said flexing the armor.
"..Yeah man the armor is about sixty pounds, spread out." Alex was clearly having a little trouble.

"Do you think you can fight in it?" Sarah.
"Yea." Alex, sat down flat on the floor.
"....*sigh*... Take a two-handed sword, ditch one of your other two weapons." Sarah.
"Roger." Alex, kept his long-sword and ditched the mace.
Sarah inwardly sighed, she hoped that wouldn't be a problem eventually. There were about ten steps to the exit.
It seemed they were in the courtyard of some stone-building. Exiting the tunnel would have worked wonders for everyones metal health, except the two suns which crushed hope utterly. They exited what appeared to be some rich nobles stone mansion, though clearly not a castle. They encountered a set of guard-skeletons on the way out, they took care of it easily enough.
The tunnels led out to a city, which nature had reclaimed, it had the occasional skeletons guarding the area. Sarah could see the city's huge castle about a block or two away guarded by a moat and wall. This area was mostly stone-buildings with what appeared to have been massive wooden mansions, though the latter had collapsed with time. The mansion had been based on the slope of a large hill, with the castle cresting it's very top, so they had a partial view of the lower city and the forested fields that lay beyond. There were many broken discared bones along the road. Giant-metal parts of armor were occasionally strewn about, similar to the giant-armor they had seen below.
"Wow.. Creepy." Eian took one look, and Sarah had the impression he frowned at the sight.
"Looks like some large-scale battle happened with giants and the undead in the city." Alex's voice took on a pondrous tone, sounding unsure.
Sarah nodded at his assesment, it was definitely possible. A few steps later Jessica gave her an even bigger scare.
"You.....don't think there are giant skeletons around right?" Jessica's eyes were wide, her voice trembled with unsuppressed fear.
Sarah pictured giant skeletons en mass and shuddered.
"I hope not." Sarah felt goose-bumps crawling up her back.
"Wow...." Eian's helmet visibly twisted left and right as he indulged in healthy paranoia.
"We haven't seen any, so let's get out before we find any." Alex's helmet showed he was scanning the area, everyone agreed with his bout of common sense.
They ran into another pack of five skeletal guards on the same block. Which were easily defeated by Eian and Alex. Jessica got the final kill again, Sarah was still recovering her spirit so they went slow. The cobblestone roads were wide, but littered with grass and the occasional tree would sprout outwards. Each house had a small alley clearly separating the large estates. The suns seemed to be about to set in about two hours or three hours, by Sarah's estimate.
-'I wonder if the planet rotates the same speed. If it doesn't it will change how many hours we have in a day. Interesting. I think Jupiter only has ten hours in a day.' Sarah thought to herself.

They encountered another group of skeleton guards infront of another estates entrance, this one was clearly smaller than the last. They were also visibly less armored and there were only two.
"Alex kill one, Jessica try killing the other." Sarah.
"ME?!" Jessica seemed surprised.
"Yes, you. You've killed plenty this should be easy." Sarah pointed at one in the corner.
"Sarah?! Jess you don't have to." There Alex went, being over-protective again, Sarah rolled her eyes.
Jessica acutally seemed sad at his words, which Sarah made a note of.
"It..it's okay Alex. Thanks." Jessica smiled sadly at him.
"Oh relax, Eian and I are right here. She needs to be prepared to fight and you need to stop preventing her from it." Sarah didn't know whether to roll her eyes or sigh, so she did both.
"Alright.... I guess." Alex was clearly confused, it was noteable even through the armor.
"I'll hold the little bit of meat left." Sarah suppresed another urge to roll her eyes.
Alex actually had more trouble with his skeleton than Jessica. She simply aimed, stabbed, calculated its block and nabbed it in the skull, all in one solid attack through the helmet opening. Alex's opponent blocked two blows and then he killed it by decapitation. Sarah observered her movements and saw that Jessica had not trouble handling the long-spear, Alex seemed a little clumsier in comparison.
'Dexterity and perception.' Sarah observed, she realized she had no problems aiming her fire-balls and firing them, Jessica would soon be completely above her in that aspect.
"Good. Let's go." Sarah stalked onwards.
"Roger. Nice job Jess." Alex smiled at her enthusiasm.
"Yes!" Jessica fist-pumped.
They kept going noting the guards were lacking, after one more pair of guards. Eian and Jessica took care of them this time. Eian took two strong hits to kill the guard and Jessica killed it on her first try. She seemed a little smug at that.
"HA!" Jessica.
"Ha-ha. Very funny." Eian was being sarcastic again.
"Jessica don't get over-confident. Alex and Eian are half-blind in those helmets." Sarah pointed that out, overconfidence was bad after-all.
"Oh... right." Jessica seemed to instantly get glum.
Eian was surprisingly quite, Sarah breathed a sigh of relief.
"Don't worry Jess, you did good." Alex gave her a thumbs up.
"...thanks..." Jessica looked at the ground and mumbled slightly.
"I agree you're doing well, just don't get over-confident. I don't want anyone to get hurt over something stupid." Sarah gave a curt nod.
"Yes.. Thanks." Jessica half smiled.
"Can we go now?" Eian's bored voice rebounded off his visor.
"Yeah. S...sorry Eian." Jessica looked away and almost mumbled the last part.
That surprised Sarah and if Eian's stumble meant anything he was even more so.
"...it's fine. No problem. G..good job..." Eian fidgeted.
"Good to see you two getting along better." Alex sounded cheerful.
"Let's go, we're burning daylight." Sarah looked up at the sky.
They soon stumbled unto an area that had several overgrown tree's. In Sarah's opinion it looked like a park, whose trees just kept growing uncontrolled.
"Are those oranges?" Eian, pointed to a particular tree.
"WHAT?!" Jessica jumped.
"Wow man, how can you see through these things?" Alex was facing the direction Eian had pointed.
Sarah was excited for some diversity in food, a pure meat diet was horrible. They almost raced to the treee. They were, in Sarah's honest opinion the most delicious fruits on the planet. They tasted like citrus, but not oranges, she even did basic testing for poison. She had opened them and rubbed them on her lip for any adverse effects and waited fifteen minutes for ill effects. After that she remembered Alex could probably heal them if anything happenned. They stuffed themselves, especially Eian.
Sarah then heard heavy shuffling in a patch of tall grass clearly nearing them.
"Something's coming!" Sarah yelled.
"What?" Eian seemed surprised and was looking about confused.
"Roger!" Alex nodded at her, eager to act.
Jessica simply looked around frightened. They formed up, Sarah summoned a blue ball of fire, appearently her white flames had not kicked in yet. A pack Skeletal dogs jumped out of some bushes and came running at them.
"Crap!" Eian jumped in surprise.
"AH!" Jessica screeched and almost stumbled backwards.
Sarah noted Jessica swapped to the long-sword, that was good hitting a dog with a spear might be hard. They hoped at them and Sarah hit one with her flames sending it rolling to the floor, it broke apart and a green flame killed it. Alex and Eian cut down two each and Jessica managed to kill one which had evaded the boys. None of them were injured.
"These things make it harder for me to hear." Eian tapped his helmet.
"Don't worry about it. Let's hurry. It's getting darker." Sarah peeked at the sky.
"I've a bad feeling." Jessica's voice trembled.
"Me too zombie movies guys. Nights are always bad. Maybe we should find shelter." Eian was moving in a hurry, the rest tried to keep up.
"Doesn't matter let's hurry. Perhaps we can be out before nightfall." Sarah pointed forward.
"Don't think like that man. We don't even know if the night affects the undead." Alex shrugged.
".......Now you've jinxed it." Eian sighed loudly, obviously exaggerating.
The suns were beginning to set, the smaller sun set first and Sarah didn't like her chances at night.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
