《Justice in the One Piece World》72. Aftermath

Chapter 72
All over the world, our fight with Big Mom was broadcasted, well, at least parts of it were. Due to the unstable network and how many times I purposely broke the connection. For example when I used Asura path I put off a small EMP for all the Den Den Mushis that were in range. They would’ve woken up right after and continued with the broadcast but the World didn’t see parts sis and I didn’t want them to see.
Just when I thought it was over, the strongest Sweet Commander needs to come by…just my luck.
Diana: Sweet Commander Katakuri, do we need to fight you as well?
Katakuri: As the current highest ranking member of the Big Mom Pirates right now, I would like to put in an Unconditional Surrender to Safe Haven. We will pay, but please do not kill Mama.
Diana: You don’t need to pay, we’ll take the Entirety of Totta Land as payment instead. But Big Mom is responsible for this crisis in the first place. With her life, we will spare all of you…should you choose to accept.
It was more of a threat than asking for a form of payment. Katakuri, thankfully understood the situation and nodded. Knowing that there really wasn’t another option.
Diana: We officially declare that Totta Land, formally land of the Big Mom Pirates under the rule of Charlotte Lin Lin is now officially part of Safe Haven! All Big Mom Pirates, listen up! As of now, you are exiled from this land. Leave and Never return!
*sigh* We were going to face some severe diplomatic issues once we go back… but nothing we can really do right now, can we?
Just then, one member of the Charlotte family started charging at me. Dressed in a ridiculous manner, he pointed his sword and tried to stab me.
Really, a ridiculous attempt. Did he not just see what we did to one of the 3 Emperors?
Me: 100 G
The man charging at me turned into a sludge of blood and gore.

Me: Anyone else? If not, please take your mom and leave please.
They didn’t need to be told twice. Katakuri and the others left on their now-not-alive flagship.
I took a couple of Seastone cuffs and chains and tied Big Mom up for some security before.
*stab* *stab*
Diana: So much easier when the opponent isn’t using Haki isn’t it?
Me: Where did her steel skin go?
With this, Big Mom was officially dead…and of course we took the fruit as well.
It took some time but all the homies were no longer alive, as Big Mom called all of them back when she tried to attack us, but all the remaining members of the crew (or rather her family) got on the ship and left.
Sis already hypnotized the navigator to take them to Wano. After all, it was the logical choice. Anywhere else, they would be targeted by the World Government (was were undoubtedly watching the broadcast) so they would go to Kaido who has some sort of connection with their mother in the past.
The fight was over but I still had something to do… something possibly more dangerous than the fight itself.
We got back onto the Requiem and I got everyone in a room and locked the door.
Me: Sis, I need to do this. It’s my fault… that they’re all dead.
Sis looked as if she wanted to stop me but didn’t. She knew how important this was for me.
Me: What you see in the room or what you hear outside. You must never tell anyone. Do you understand?
All of them nodded. All of our crew.
I began.
I put my hands together and made sure nobody can record what is about to happen,
Me: EMP
When I was sure all the den den mushis were asleep, I began my Jutsu
Me: *Rinnegan* Art of Rinne Rebirth!!
I set the target to all civilians who lost their lives due to the fight between Big Mom and us.

I felt the head of the King of Hell open up his mouth somewhere in the middle of the island and started spraying the souls of the dead.
As he did that, I could feel my arms getting heavier. I lost my strength as I forcibly made the souls of the dead return to the living, as well as heal them so their soul can stay anchored. Resurrecting so many, hundreds if not thousand, at once was straining me on a level that reminded me of fighting Shiki.
I could feel my nose burst and my eyes start to bleed but I continued. The most intense pain for just a couple minutes and everyone could be back…
Yet, I wasn’t strong enough so I put out one of my hands to sis who grabbed it. Using Petra path, I absorbed her haki and strength and once more I found the energy to bring back the dead.
I repeated this process for Tim, John, Sarah, Spade, and even Alisha who had buffed me so many times I lost count. Eventually, I even asked Doc Brown for his help, which he willingly did. I never took more than what would harm them though… in the end…feeling as if I just sprinted an entire marathon (in my previous life) I managed to get the last soul across before I collapsed. I think I’ll be sleeping for a while.
…
…
I woke to Doc measuring my temperature.
Me: How long was I asleep?
Brown: A day. I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t longer. Nobody else would’ve survived what you did and I’m not even talking about winning a fight against an Emperor of the Sea.
Me: That bad huh?
Brown: You fell asleep right as it was over but your entire body lost color. Somehow you got your strength and everything back in a week. As I said before, don’t ask me how this is possible. I don’t know as well. Can’t rely on traditional medical records when it comes to you two.
Me: um…Sorry?
Brown: Still, I’m glad you’re safe *pet* Though I would like to warn you not to pull off a stunt like that again. You’re still a little girl, so take care of yourself as well.
Me: I will
Brown: You’re also a Monarch of the Seas so the balance will break if you die. Alright?
Me: I get it doc… *pout* You’re starting to sound like dad. More importantly, what happened while I was asleep? And this is…
I was still on the Requiem.
Brown: We brought the forces of Safe Haven to Totta Land so we can help out and restore order. Once you are feeling better, we need to transport these islands back to the South.
Me: Am I allowed to do that already?
Brown: Not a chance.
Meanwhile Around the World reacting to the News of Big Mom’s Defeat by the hands of the Twin Monarch of the Seas
Location: Wano
Kaido: Why…why did the Society get involved…? They’d better not come here…!!
Location: Beehive
Blackbeard: Defeated Big Mom? Zehahahaha!!! What a twist! What a twist!! The balance of the New World has changed once again!!
Somewhere in the New World:
Shanks: The twins huh…I heard they have a good relation with you…Luffy! 1 Billion Beri bounty, huh
Somewhere in the Sea heading for Wano:
Katakuri: Call Kaido, we must tell him it is time he pays for the favor that Mama did for him…
All around the world, people were shocked by the ground breaking news. Of Straw Hat Luffy’s attack on Big Mom Pirates as well as their alliance with various others, the existence of Germa 66 for those who refused to believe them… but most importantly the involvement of Safe Haven at the end of their conflict and the devastating result it had for Big Mom.
The message was quite simple.
DON’T FUCK WITH THE SOCIETY

The Afterlife, And How To Survive It (Barely)
Larry Foulery's monotonous, directionless life changed drastically, when he got shot in the face. Reincarnated into a new world, where he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and with the honor and dedication of an part-time fast food cashier, he is ready to face this adventure. Kinda. The story takes place in the cynical world of Afterlife, where status screens and are considered normal, and the rule of physics cry in a corner, because nobody cares about them, and they are alone and lonely, and their family hasn't called them in years. Anyways, have fun. BTW don't stare too long into the story cover. I get the feeling it stares back. I'm trying to improve my writing, so feel free to bombard me with criticism.

Threads
A legendary landmass long since believed lost to the world reappears in the seas of the island nation of Annitou, setting off a frantic race by the surrounding governments to acquire its allegedly powerful secrets. From every corner of the map comes settlers, merchants, pirates, and the strongest enforcers of each country's sovereignty: the Agents, individuals with unique, sometimes seemingly divine talents which can rival the power of even an army. However on the lawless frontier of the newly rediscovered island of Jinchi, national loyalties and personal ambition are put to the real test. Threads follows the interconnected stories of individuals from all strata of this world, from the lowly in-training cadets, to the mighty and seemingly invincible generals, to the otherwise innocuous and 'powerless' civilians. Each person holds a piece of the puzzle- but nobody can say how it will ultimately be put together.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess. (This work is also being serialised on Webnovel under the name Revile as a trial run)
