《Justice in the One Piece World》58. The Twin Monarch of the Seas

Chapter 58
Another year has passed and I’ve never had such a busy year in my life. Forget my days as an Admiral, this was way worse.
In the present, right now, our bounties were dropped as we delivered what we promised we would. Apparently there was a massive fight between some nobles in the city of Marie Jois but they probably told the noble to suck it up and be done with it.
Accomplishing what we did was no easy feat. In fact, our power and influence grew so much that ever since we completed it, the Newscoo called us the TWIN MONARCH OF THE SEA, and that was what we were stuck with ever since.
Let me give you an update since leaving MarineFord almost a full year ago.
South of Whole Cake Island (like Whole cake is on one side of the Calm Belt while this one is closer to the other belt), was a Kingdom not protected by the World Government; however, the people there suffered from a tyrant. Since he was no pirate, there were no bounties on him. As they didn’t sent people or want any connection with the World Government, they technically didn’t commit any wrongdoings. So, being the nice people that we were, the day after meeting Sakazuki, we took the matter into our own hands.
We took over the country by killing the king and everyone involved. Those who weren’t but held dangerous political power was allowed to liquidate their assets before leaving the country for good. We renamed the Kingdom ‘Safe Haven’ and changed it from Kingdom to Oligarchy, but that was only the beginning of our plan.
While everyone else was working on renovating the entire place and turning this place into a Utopia, Tim and I worked on the ship I stole from Enel.
Of course, his initial reaction to the pure golden ship was
Tim: Holy fuck! Where did you even get… no, hide this?!!
But he let go of the matter since it was me. He re-wired the entire engine of the ship so it would work more efficiently stating
Tim: Whoever made this was a complete idiot who knew one concept: If it’s strong enough, it’ll float.
Dumbass
With my personal ship completed, I filled the ship with log poses, eternal log poses, Den Den Mushis, and maps so I wouldn’t get lost before setting out to Sea alone. I did what Shiki had done for the last 20 years. Stealing Islands.
Sometimes, I stole whole chucks of land with the size and shape I want from the Red Line itself and made it float behind my ship as I went around the blues looking for suitable islands.
In total, I collected 10 pretty decently sized Islands. I made sure to only take the ones without humans or any sentient lifeforms before taking them. On islands that were previously inhabited by dangerous animals like the ones Luffy was on, I used them as stress relievers before storing all the corpses and broken wood into my Inventory before making it float behind me back into the New World.

One time, I found an island too small for me to use but still really good. So I carried it up with me to Skypiea.
The people there almost died of shock when they saw the ship again. I told them it wasn’t the same ship and that Enel was dead, which really shocked them even more.
From that, I traded the entire Island (which stayed nicely up on Sky Island) for as many dials as they can spare….then went to find some more. It was honestly a pretty good deal, getting so many dials that could potentially run an entire country…hehe you got me.
By the time we were done, the structure reminded me of Whole Cake island, but mind you the inside and the people were completely different. We just had the massive island (the size of Alabasta or bigger) in the middle with 10 smaller islands all around it. Of course, all the islands were floating, but they were just above the water to give the illusion they were stuck to the ground. During this time I was gone, sis managed to separate the main island from the Ocean Floor.
By draining hundreds of hundreds millions of Beri (which was constantly refilled by handing in the Pirates to the Marines and taking their stuff) as well as the taxes. of course, we set the taxes much lower than ever before. The richer the people, the richer the nation. It was one of the ideas we set when we started this.
After setting up a few key national businesses, we poured in massive amounts of money into the economy. From building public infrastructures such as schools, hospitals, public parks, orphanages, shopping malls, National Offices and more.
More importantly, if we really wanted to keep this freedom, then that meant we needed to show the World that we were strong. That Safe Haven was strong even without us. We funded multiple construction companies (from Safe Haven) to build Warships (led by Tim), defensive structures around all the islands.
Everything was just in its infant phase but we encouraged the people to educate their children. We implemented a Police system that functioned like the Marines. The only difference was, we put way more than we needed on this. The Police didn’t just catch criminals, they kept the peace, helped out on many occasions, and overall, we put them everywhere. This way, we could keep a general eye on everywhere at once.
While that was going on, Sarah and sis had to rewrite almost the entire Law system.
It must’ve been hard on an entire different level, but we also knew that the Law couldn’t protect everyone so we put us, just sis and I, above the law. It was hypocritical and we didn’t set a good example doing this, but we knew we were doing this for the better.
When we began writing the laws, one of the first things we did was completely abolishing the nobility. Their possessions were seized if they tried to resist. This way, we managed to create a truly ‘Equal’ society for the first time on this island. It was hard convincing people that this was possible, but after our continuous efforts, they began to listen.

We named our capital island, ‘Society’ to signify that everyone can exist together in harmony. We also added a function consisting of very stretchy tubes and utilizing Water Pressure to connect all the 10 (official) Islands to the Society. We had more islands but they weren’t really inhabited. Mostly used for military training or other means.
We cleared out a lot of land on each of the 10 Islands for a ‘specific’ purpose but it was never undermanned in any case. Since this was the beginning, criminals who committed heinous acts were harshly punished (often death) but ones that stole or committed a petty crime in desperation were fined before sent to the National Recruitment Office to help them look for work. Putting people behind bars wouldn’t solve anything in the long run.
With our equality between all people, we also pronounced that all intelligent lifeforms would be treated equally in our lands. To prove a point, we convinced a few Fishman we met on our journey to visit the island, which they were shocked that there was minimal racism. It was a gamble… but it worked.
Finally, the books that we haven’t even touched since coming to this world came handy. For example, books about construction, farming, fish farms, the basics of economy and other social studies were something we put in the corner of our room without ever touching. Both sis and I were reading them like crazy and trying to absorb as much knowledge as we could as to not to make this country into another Wano.
Thanks to the massive scientific development and my Devil Fruit powers, we managed to put the islands in such a way that the semi trapped waves would rotate clockwise around the nation which we utilized to generate electricity and thus power for the entire country.
It was new, we weren’t so familiar with everything, but with some modern knowledge from earth as well as putting society’s wellbeing before ourselves, we managed to create a small little Utopia in the middle of the New World.
A few months ago, we finally opened up our island. Not to specific people…but to everyone. We declared ourselves neutral in every faction, war, and conflict. As we had the national power, economy, and us to back up our claims, we were quickly recognized as a powerful force and was granted the status of Switzerland of the One Piece Universe.
Like we expected, we sent invitations to powerful organizations all over the world to conduct peace talks or anything on Safe Haven. As originally planned together with Sakazuki, the World Government quickly agreed as did the Revolutionary Army. Soon, on each of the Islands that we left the space for, was an embassy from each of the factions.
The World Government, the Revolutionary Army, Big Mom Pirates, Beast Pirates (Kaido), Red Haired Pirates, Germa 66, Dressrosa as well as a few independent countries that applied. The Fishman Island (Or Ryugu Kingdom) officially joined later on after declaring their independence from Big Mom. Good for them, if they develop underwater weapons, that would be affective against most Pirate Crews trying to approach them.
There was only a few rules in place for them.
Even if you set up an embassy, the laws of Safe Haven still apply If your ambassador commits a crime while in the grounds of Safe Haven, they will be punished by the laws of Safe Haven If the respective organization does not apologize for the actions of Safe Haven and take responsibility or pay reparations, then consequences will follow.
The third rule ended up with me personally wiping out 4 Royal Families of their respective islands. Since I couldn’t just leave them in Anarchy, I just floated all of their islands and brought them to Safe Haven and officially assimilated the people from their country into ours.
Our actions here made it clear we weren't joking around and since then there weren’t any troubles with any ambassadors. Our little island here turned into the closest thing to this world’s United Nations.
Me: Finally… it’s all done! No more paperwork! I’ve left that all to my subordinates…
As I looked around my office and cleared my head, which I wasn’t able to do for a while. Man, we really did change the Story a lot, haven’t we? Just in time too, the Time Skip should be over soon.
But… I think I really need to relax for a bit. I’ve been seriously overworked for an entire year. Running around the World and gathering islands, getting connections, and wiping our entire nations isn’t something I do for fun.
Just as I was about to go for a walk, an officer brought me the daily news coo
HEADLINE: TWIN MONARCH OF THE HAVEN BRING FIRE ON THE ISLAND OF DESCORA
Not again! That was more than 3 days ago, why are they publishing this now? And why did they have to use that strange nickname ‘Monarch’? I mean, it fits with the theme of major player in the New World but still!
Me: Please send back the reporters. Just tell them that their King tried to pull off something stupid against us. Ask Sarah for all the evidence and be done with it.
Not even a single day to relax.

I was Born the Unloved Twin
You've probably heard this sort of story before. Once upon a time, blah blah blah a boy and a girl fell love and everything was beautiful and perfect, except for this thing called life getting in their way. He was this cool foreign prince and she was basically perfect. Really it's a very boring run of the mill story. I'll even spoil it for you, they kill the villainess at the end. Not the type of story I'd read personally. So where do I fit into this?Apparently I'm her older twin sister and the very very lucky fiance to the foreign prince. You know, the dead villainess? Sucks I know. Now I get to do it all over again from the beginning.Curse my life ------ So you're somewhat interested in what this thing is about and looking to see if it's even worth reading? Let's get the worst of it out of the way first: This is a boring story, very tedious, mundane and downright just boring. It's too slow, the characters are too confusing & make possibly retarded choices. It's an isekai/reborn type Slice of Life novel that plays on the villainess noble girl trope but the MC gets no OP cheats, no magical powers, not even some satisfying face slapping or such self-fulfillment fantasy. Wow, I'm doing a terrible job advertising this thing. If you're somehow still interested, if you were ever interested how an average modern person, reborn with all their host's memories, could live out their life in this situation, mending personal relationships one step at a time, or wondered what happened in between all the time skips in other novels, maybe give Unloved Twin a try. This is an awkward novel, the pacing is slow, and there is no time skips. For some reason still, I really love this little story I'm making. Talk to me on: https://discord.gg/ARkSMFPbew
