《Justice in the One Piece World》55. Hello, we're here to meet you Part 3

Chapter 55
Sarah: Approaching Amazon Lily, but Diana, are you sure you want to invade the land of a Warlord?
Diana: We’re not invading. We’re going to ask for permission first and explain exactly why we’re here and what we’re going to do. If they don’t let us, then we’ll invade.
Sarah: I think you’ve adopted the ‘I’m going to do it anyway but I’m warning you beforehand’ during your days as an Admiral
Diana: Well, we did get a lot of political power honesty. My 10 fingers aren’t enough to count the number of Kings and other nobles around the world I’ve beat up for saying something stupid to me or sis and they can’t do anything about it.
Actually, scratch that. The World Government always took my side whenever they complained and that shut pretty much everyone.
We landed on the water and started sailing towards the island. Honestly, it was a beautiful island, and possibly a paradise for women who wanted to live without men. For men, it was one of the Lovecraftian Horrors, Certain Beauty and Certain Death. No man except Luffy can truly step on the island and be welcomed. Despite this, Tim and John looked pretty excited about the idea of visiting an island of ‘All Woman’ and something about ‘Underage Captains gonna make us look like pedos’. I then noticed that all the women on board were underage… not that we even had interest in you guys to start with, sorry guys.
Sarah: They’re hailing us.
Diana: Put them through
?: Who is this? You are sailing in the Waters of Amazon Lily, led by the Pirate Empress and Warlord of the Sea Boa Hancock!
Diana: Hello, this is former Marine Admiral Diana Fujitora. I’m here to talk to Hancock.
That shut her up real quick. Whether they can or not tell if it is real, names hold power and our name was especially powerful. Even Oda showed this by using the Straw Hat’s name after the time-skip with the fake Straw Hat crew and how they used the strength and element of fear of the name to their advantage.
?: Why do you think we’ll allow you to speak with her?
Diana: Man, I’m being questioned the same things everywhere we go. Alright, what I told you wan’t a question. I said, ‘I’m here to talk to Hancock’, not ‘May I talk to your Pirate Empress’. What that means is either me and my crew are going to be invited into your palace and we have a nice talk and we leave in peace…or, we talk to her after a fight you won’t win.
*click* *ring* *ring*
???: Grant them permission. If they truly are who they say they are, then we can’t stop them.
?: Fine. Admiral Diana, you are allowed to dock…except we only have room for one ship and it’s currently being used.
Diana: That won’t be a problem. Kara, please
I made the boat float slightly as we approached the island, and then we got on land…with the boat.
Diana: Alright, all men stay here. We don’t want to break any customs. So I’m sorry Tim, John, but looks like you’ll just have to enjoy watching people from on board.

Tim: Damn it.
The females of the ship, which was just sis, me, Sarah, and Alisha, jumped off the ship and was greeted by woman of many proportions.
Guard: So you weren’t lying. But please, what does the Formal Marine Admirals have to do here in Amazon Lily?
Diana: We need information. Information only your Queen has. Please lead us to her.
They decided to take the risk. After all, they knew what we did during our days as Admirals. It was either my way or MY WAY, the latter being much more painful that the former. No exceptions. That was what we were famous for after all.
We were led to the palace of Amazon Lily, and as soon as we saw Boa Hancock, I started having the De Ju Vu feeling. Of course Boa and Ivankov are are polar opposites in looks and their respective kingdoms but didn’t we pretty much do the same thing (or are going do the same thing) for both of them?
We just really demanded entry into their Kingdom, got them to talk to us by force for information or a connection without giving a damn about anyone else. Well, at least nobody’s getting hurt.
Diana: Hello Pirate Empress, I’m sure you’ve heard of us?
Boa: It would be stupid to have not heard of you two, though I can’t say about the third member.
Me: Our newest member, her name is Alisha
Alisha: Hello~
Diana: Anyway, could we get right to talking? We came here for information and we’ll leave as soon as we have it. We’re looking for the location of Rusukaina.
Me: Before anything is said, I need you to know a few things about all of us here. First, we are not attracted to Straw Hat Luffy, second, we are not trying to harm him but we need to bring him information. Also, this one’s for you. He loves his Nakama as much as he values his life so if you really want him why don’t you officially ally with him or something? Or give him a lot of meat. That works as well.
My rapid fire explanation seemed to do the trick as Boa calmed down. Seriously, ok, I can understand people becoming friends with Luffy since he’s so innocent and bright but how does anyone fall in love with him? Weird One Piece characters…just so weird.
Boa: Is that really all you need?
Diana: Unless you want us to stay, that’s it.
Boa: Very well. I’ll give you the location. But be careful, Rayleigh might be there and I’m not sure if he regards you as his friend.
Diana: We just need to stop him for a couple seconds until he listens to us. I’m pretty sure any one of us can manage that.
An hour later, we were sailing to Rusukaina using a map that Boa gave us. It was a nice addition to the World Map Sarah had in her room, which she then used to label every single island and something notable in the World. Over the last year, the map has gotten incredibly detailed from both her personal experience and the ‘seemingly infinite pool of knowledge’ from the Mastery of Navigation we have given her.

Diana: We only know a little about the island so be careful. From what we know, a Kingdom used to exist here but they couldn’t live in the harsh environment and the dangerous animals so they died out.
We docked out ship a slight distance away from the woods but we stayed onboard for now.
We didn’t want to face any animals walking through the place or even spend time looking for Ace and Luffy (though I can find them using observation haki), there was a much easier way.
Me: *Conqueror’s Haki Blast*
The manifestation of my will blasted throughout the entirety of the island as thousands of animals submitted to me immediately. While so, I felt a familiar presence as well as a pretty powerful figure on another part of the island.
Me: Found them. I don’t think Luffy’s noticed anything out of the ordinary but Rayleigh should definitely know by now. Other than that…
I looked at Spade
Me: It’s been a full year since you’ve seen your brother. I think I owe you this time before we properly sail as Nakama across the Blues and the Grand Line
Spade: Thank you… it means a lot to me.
With that, we let Spade just walk towards where Rayeligh and Luffy should be while we waited on the ship.
It was a full day before they returned. Not just Spade but also Luffy and Rayleigh. That was nice of him to stop his training for a moment to come say hi to us.
Diana: Hello Straw Hat, it’s been a while hasn’t it? Last time I saw you, you were falling out of the sky and into the war. I’ve got to say, a very risky move but if you wanted to get attention, you definitely did that.
Luffy ignored everything sis said, but instead put his head on the ground and said…
Luffy: Thank you for saving Ace! I’m so happy right now.
Describing his feelings as ‘happy’, and with such simple words. Man, Luffy really is an innocent jolly roger character. Still, from Canon I’ve seen the effect Ace’s death had on him and it was not a pretty sight.
Diana: Nah, there were some reasons behind it but it was honestly mostly because we wanted to. So no need to thank us. We also came to drop by so Ace can have his time with his precious little brother and ease your worries a bit.
Me: Luffy. You’ve experienced my Conqueror’s haki as my enemy twice and both times you were knocked out or pressed to the ground. During the war you’ve shown the world that you have potential. Make sure to learn it properly ok?
We had a feast that night which mostly consisted of animals that Luffy caught roasted over an open fire. Sis and I just added a few spices here and there to make it taste better but the setting itself was what made the food really delicious.
Luffy: …
Me: What, I can’t eat just meat. I need to have it with rice, noodles, or something. When I’m really desperate I’ll take bread but eating meat alone…yuck.
Luffy made a face that he just doesn’t get it. I mean, meat was definitely tasty but doesn’t it grow old really fast? It’s just the same flavor over and over again. Without rice, or noodles, or another source of food, it’s hard to appreciate the flavor of meat… or at least that’s what I think. Most people just seemed to disagree with me on this topic anyway.
Me: It is an honor to meet the Dark King himself though…in the middle of nowhere like here as well.
Rayleigh: Well, I’m nothing more than an old Ship coater nowadays. You can treat this as a special vacation for me, training this young fella.
Me: Well, if I was still a Marine, I would probably fought you the moment we met no questions. But the truth is, just like how I respect Whitebeard, I respect you as well.
Rayleigh: Care to explain to this old man?
Me: You’re not a good person. I respect you as a pirate, but not as a person. That is why if I was still a Marine, I would have no moral concerns in putting you into Impel Down. Not that I think it can even hold you for long…
Rayleigh: haha… well yes, you would be correct. I have done some bad things in my life and I’ve killed a countless number of innocent young Marines. Yet, I understand what you are saying, as I was never someone that went looking for trouble.
There was a lot of talking between our crew and Rayleigh. After all, they were meeting the living legend himself. Everyone would be asking questions about all sorts of stuff. Of course, I made sure to warn them to not ask anything about the One Piece or the location of Raftel. Just the Luffy, I agree there needs to be some the joy in the mystery of the adventure.
With Luffy almost celebrating with all his heart, it seems he went back to his immature and stupid self. Just minutes after a nice dinner, he challenged Ace (or Spade, but I’ll call him Ace while he’s with Luffy) to a fight, claiming that he can beat him now.
The result was simply devastating. It wasn’t even close, and that was to be expected. Ace was still the 2nd Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Of course he would have already mastered both his Devil Fruit and his Haki. If anything, he would be more talented than Luffy at it.
We stayed for the night on our ship, dropped off some supplies that Boa told us to leave with them (much to Rayleigh’s distaste) before leaving.
Sarah: Where are we going now?
Diana: Just one more stop before we’re back to sailing the world as we please. We’re going back to Sabaody Archipelago. We stock up before going back to the New World.

8 207"Elves of the Northern Vale" A Tundrawolf Story
As happened many times in the past the Fell Ice once again charged down from the north and attacked the world in its effort to turn it into a frozen ball of ice. Only the White Magic and it's ally the Sun could stand against such a vast enemy. From their home in the Valley of the Sun the great tribe of Elves could only watch as the monumental fight unfolded. As the battle intensified and the valley became threatened the tribe separated back into their four original tribes and each made their way back to their ancestral homes. Within their Vales, behind thick stone walls and under powerful domes of magic, they were protected from the onslaught upon the earth. The Elves watched for thousands upon thousands of turns as the war raged overhead. The Fell Ice against the Sun and the White Magic were locked in a struggle lasting for an age, with neither side claiming victory as the earth was ravaged. In time the Fell Ice retreated, as it had so many times in the past. Beaten, yet not defeated, only biding it's time for the next attack. It returned to its frozen Kingdom at the Top of the World, thus ending this last Age of Ice. This time, as the earth warmed around them, the Elves remained secluded from the world in their hidden Vales. They observed from afar life returning to the lands and took stock of man becoming the dominant ones as their numbers grew and spread. As the Elves watched they felt safe and secure in their Vale strongholds. They had no idea of the danger that was about to befall them. This is a stand-alone sequel to my story "Druids Bane".
