". . .I knew I'd find you here. " Roland said with a half smile.

It was that cave he took her to for training some days ago. The trees and grass were uprooted, a result of the curse acting up. But other than that it was the same.

Really, where else would she go? She wouldnt go to the school and she wouldnt just wander about aimlessly.

She would obviously chose somewhere familiar.

The girl in front of his jump at his voice. She had her back towards him, sitting at the same place they had sat on that day.

"Roland. W-what are you doing here?" She turned and tried to appear calm.

" What are you doing here?" He countered

"Thats. . ." She appeared lost for words. "Im just. . .thinking. "

"Oh?" He grinned a bit. " Thinking about what?"

"Nothing!" She said quickly. But her face went red, and she coughed twice. To hide her embarrassment, probably.

He peered at her, considering. " I see. And here I was, concerned that you may have been traumatised by that little incident earlier."

Reina twitched.

Her face went even more red as she remembered the scene of two people entangled and breathing hard.

" I dont see why you think it would affect me. Your business is your own." She said, trying to appear unruffled.

"Indeed. I did feel like explaining a bit to you, but since you say you dont care. . ." He let the matter drop. "Anyway, while Im here, you wanted something earlier?" He asked.

Reina nodded hesitantly. After a few seconds, she spoke. " Well. . ." She began, a bit unsure. " You see, I keep having these...dreams."

He tilted his head, "Dreams? That isnt exactly my area of expertise. I dont see why you think that I can--"

"I think they have to do with you." She cut him off.

He paused. " What do you mean, me?"

She suddenly felt shivers. He looked at her intently as he asked. She hated that, actually. She always felt. . .exposed when he looked at her that way. But she went on. " I think that they might be your, uh, memories. Maybe. " She finished, not looking at him in the eye. There was a bit of a blush to her cheks that she hoped he wouldnt notice.

"And. . .why would you think that they're mine?" He asked slowly, not understanding.

She grew flustered. "D-dont ask me something like that!" She exclaimed, nearly choking.

He raised a brow. "Reina, if you dont speak how can I help you? Tell me, why do you think that your dream have anything to do with me?"

"T-thats. . ." She stammered.

"What?" Her voice was so small even his hearing couldnt make sense of it. Quite a feat, really.

"Thats. .. I saw--I mean, in the dreams you were--Um, that is to say that you were. . ."

"Yes?"

"Uh, I think that you were having. . .I-I-I" She coughed several times to clear her throat. " I-intercourse. With various women. And there were other, less understandable things. . .But, the ones most clear are of. . .that. . ." She finished awkwardly.

He stared at her, disbelieving.

"Reina. . .Are you saying that you have dreams of me... having sex with women? Thats. . ." He was speechless.

Exactly how do you respond to something like that?

She hastily denied, waving her hands. "No! I mean, that isnt all, its just those type of things are the most clear! Dont misunderstand! I-Im not making this up, I swear!" Her voice rose with every word.

He decided to go along with it, at the very least to save her from even more embarrassment. " And when did these...dreams...begin?"

She sighed with relief, thinking he believed her. "Well, it began a bit after you and me trained here. So, I thought that you could...explain why this was happening. Ah, I also hear voices sometimes. Or a name. But the dreams are the worst. So..."

She looked at him expectantly.

He sent her a perplexed glance. That day....these dreams...names....voices....memories....

Roland went into deep thought for a few seconds. Then,

Wait, dont tell me this is...

After a flash of insight Roland walked towards her, not breaking eye contact.

She inwardly shrunk and couldnt help stiffen slightly. Somehow she felt a sudden sense of danger. But it was a different type of danger than usual. One that made her freeze up as she saw him approach.

Roland was curious about something. As an experiment, he reached out a hand and touched her cheek. She reacted instantly with a small, almost breathless cry. Soon a peculiar heat began spreading through her entire body.

She tried jumping back away, to put some distance between them, but she found she couldnt move. He looked into her eyes and her body kept gorwing more hot and a strange feeling was coming into her.

Her breathing went a bit rough and she felt sensitive in certain areas that shouldnt be.

Roland, too, began to feel a strange sensation spread through him. There was a certain energy that coursed through his veins the moment he put a hand on her cheek and made him, too, quicken his breath.

He stared at her lips. So red, full and slightly moist. . .

She stared back at him, her gaze turning hazy.

She licked her lips, feeling his gaze on them. Were he to just lean a bit, the two of them. . .

Roland frowned suddenly.

Then, as if he was done with her, he let go.

She dropped to her knees, feeling weak.

Suddenly she felt the heat die down and she once again had control of her limbs.

" So, its worse than I thought, huh. This. . .could be bad." He muttered.

Reina gathered her wits and glared at him. "W-What did you do to me?" There were slight tears in her eyes.

Her face was still hot, and her body felt a lingering electricity in it. She felt dirty. Unclean.

But when he let go there was a curious feeling of . . .loss? How odd. . .

Roland shrugged. " I didnt do anything. This is your fault, really."

"H-How is anything my fault?!" She wanted to cry.

He wasnt the one having those weird dreams every night, why did he make it seem like she was the one in the wrong? What exactly could she have done to cause any of this?

" Ah. . .Well, those deams are probably due to you having drank so much of my blood that time. Its created a sort of...bond...between us. The way you reacted just now proves it..." He stopped.

He sighed. " Look, Reina...your body and mine had a good affinity for each other to begin with. Now that there is this bond....I dont know exactly what affect it might have in the future. Between people like us who have a high compatability, there will be a certain...desire. Its hard to explain, but all you need to know is that because of a variety of factors the two of us absolutely shouldnt touch each other from now on. I dont know how long this strange bond will last. I'll work on breaking it, but this isnt really a magic spell we're dealing with here. Its a bit deeper than that. . "

She looked miserable. " So those dreams. . .they wont go away?"

No matter what, she couldnt keep having those dreams!

Sometimes the dreams were much different, darker, more hard to unerstand. But the majority were simply...shameless!

Sometimes there was one woman, sometimes two...rarely, there were even more...

They came in different varieties too. Some were races she never saw before.

She really couldnt stand them anymore. Only a few days and she already knew more about the female anatomy than she ever want to know. It was horrible!

If this was going to continue, then she really didnt know what she would do.

In hindsight she should have gone to him the first time this happened.

But she thought that would be too weird. It was only when she was certain that these were connected to him that she felt he should know about them.

"Those dreams are...yeah, they're probably my more "recent" memories. As for the other things...I wouldnt know. But, I dont think you will be having dreams of strange women anymore..." He hesitated, unsure if he should go on with what he suspected would happen instead.

"Really?" She looked at him hopefully.

"Yeah..."

" And you'll try to...fix this?" She made a vague gesture.

"I can probably work something out. A seal of some kind, maybe an enchanted amulet. I'll think of something." He said with more confidence than he actually felt.

This wasnt exactly magic. Well, not the more controllable type anyway. It was more primal that that.

They had shared a blood link with each other. By itself that was harmless but with the two of them being so compatible and her drinking his blood, something which contained a good amount of his vital essence. . .

This bond, how deep did it go exactly. What memories did she see? She probably wouldnt be able to make sense of them. She said she sometimes heard voices and names.

She shared a direct link to him now. So she saw some of his memories that he himself couldnt.

First off, something like this wouldnt be possible unless people had very, very high affinities with each other.

Being the type of existence he was, finding someone like that for him was nearly impossible.

Exactly why did Reina have this afffinity with his body anyway?

Not just that, but since he got here he met his past wife and even got to meet an adorable daughter he didnt know he had. Even that Gehenna seemed connected to him.

He couldnt help feeling something was very off here, but he didnt know what.
