《The Last King》chapter eight--part 2

Author's notes: well, part 2 is here. not much to say. im both very sad and pissed off right now. i had finished this two hours ago, and was getting ready to post when one of my cats was running around and accidently unplugged the power cord to my PS4, which i am using a keyboard with to type all this. i was like, " F****** G****** MOTHER******* BASTARD CAT! ARGHHHH I SHOULD HAVE LEFT YOU ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD YOU LITTLE UNGRATEFUL SON OF A W****!" And i really wanted to backhand him across the face, but i love my cats, unfortunately, and held back. Ugh, i know that the first version was better but i cant remember all of it :(
well, enjoy.
---------------------------
it was the third day since Roland arrived on the planet. He awoke early in the morning and stretched, noticing that the cat he took home the other day was nowhere to be found. However he was not worried. He felt that when the time was right, he would see it again.
Once his muscles loosened up and he built a pleasant warmth, he walked to Reina and Lilith's room.
After a few knocks, Lilith opened the door, her eyes still blurry from sleep. She wore pajamas that clung to her bountiful curves, leaving nothing to the imagination. However, as soon as she saw him, she was instantly awake, a wary look in her eyes. It wasnt that she didnt like Roland, but she was a cautious person when needed. Remembering how he dealt with those Immortals, she knew that it would be easy for him to reduce them to meat paste if he wanted to, so naturaly she was a bit on edge around him.
Not only that, but she was very conscious of how the fabric wrapped around her figure, and Roland, with his sharp azure blue eyes, made her feel very exposed. All that combined made her try hiding her body behind the door.
"Y-yes?" she asked, hating how she stuttered on the word.
" Could you call out Reina? I feel it is time to start her training" he said.
Though she wasnt sure how much Reina could actually benefit from it, she did as she was asked and woke her sister. Reina was in a state of disarray, hurredly putting on her clothes once she knew that Roland at the door. Moments later, she came out a bit disordered, her hair and clothes a mess, causing a faintly amused smile from Roland. He told her to take her time and to meet him outside when she was done.
Reina was embarressed to have shown such an appearance, and was grateful he waited for her.
Ten minutes later, they had already walked a considerable distance. The air was cold and mist formed from their breath.
Roland stopped them at a cave he discovered after a bit of roaming around. He condesced a ball of energy and threw it up, illuminating the dark cave. Then he sent out his spirit energy to push out any wild animals near them, so they would not come to bother them. Next, he set up a light barrier around them so that they can train without worry of causing too much damage. Lastly, he took out a blanket and sat it on the floor

" Alright, it's time that i told you why we are here. to start, the method that i have planned for your training is very dangerous to your surroundings. For now, i must be with you during, but once you get the hang of it, you can do it at any time. But once you can, absolutely do not start to use it without me to supervise you, understand?"
Reina was cold, and a bit uncomfortable at being out alone with a male, but nodded to his question. She would absolutely follow his instruction.
"Good. Now, bear in mind that this method is not even able to be initiated without the extremely high compatability between us. It is the quickest way to make you strong. however, it is very dangerous." He told her
Reina nodded once again. However, something nagged at her...
"You said that before, compatability. What exactly is it?" she asked
she did have a vague idea what it meant, but didnt believe it. How could the two of them have any similarities? They were as different as night and day. From what her sister told her, he had power capable of easily beating Immortals. Not only that, he gave the air of power that made the space around him seem to warp with his mere presence at times. He even knew a god and they seemed good friends. yet she...well, her short commings were painfully obvious.
"It's bit hard to explain, but essentially everything about us is extremely compatable with each other, from our spirit energies, to our mana, our personalities, our desires and even our very bodies. We. . .fit." he told her. He was a bit hesitent to say it. It was a touchy subject, he thought. To suddenly say to a girl that they are compatable with each other is a bit. . .
Though, he didnt tell any of the unnessessary parts. Like for example, how if they had sex, it would undoubtedly be pretty incredible due to the high compatability between their bodies. It would be much, much more pleasurable than with other partners.
Of ccourse, Roland understood the meaning of tact, and so he would obviously never tell her that part.
Reina felt a pleasant warmth spread from out of her chest at his words, and not a little bit of pride either. She didnt think he would lie to her, and didnt doubt him. To know that she fit well with a person like Roland, it was something that any girl could take pride in.
" Moving on, the method i chose is something that puts you in a trance like state and lets me interact with you via a blood link" he said.
"B-blood link!" Reina exclaimed. Blood link...it was a technique used by necromancers and blood mages.
"Dont be scared, the one i will be using is not the one you are thinking of, merely a varient. With it, you with enter a special space within you mind that allows you a hundred days worth of training in mere hours. Time inside that space will be different from the time in the outside world. Also, it will let you have a portion of my learning and comprehension abilities. It is the perfect way to increase your power. As i said, we are very similar. The only reason you are so weak right now is because that curse prevents your growth. Without it, you could have ascended to the higher planes of existence at the age of 12, if you wanted. "

" Anyway, to explain that method in more detail, once you begin, your spirit energy, your soul, your mana, you body, all of it will be refined at an absurd pace. The excess power will leak out of your body and run out of control, destroying everything around you. Though the power will be more controlable in the future, as i said, it is still dangerous so that is why you must not do this around other people." He warned. " Also, once you come out of that state, your body will not be accustomed to such a surge in your power and will require some special excercise to be able to adapt and control the energy that will be running rampant throughout you. I found this cave by chance and discovered that it is made from a special kind of rock that helps absorb mana. I also set a barrier that further reduces the damage you will dish out on the surroundings. Though it cannot block spirit energy too well. . . If i had a few hours i could make something better, but this will do for now."
" Alright, now that we have that explanation out pf the way, sit down on that blanket. i will now establish the blood link." Having said said, he sharpened his spirit energy and used his right index finger and drew it across his left index finger, causing blood to flow. " Here" he said.
Reina looked at him blankly. Did he want her to lick it?
Having come to that conclusion on her own, she took his finger and licked the blood clean. It was not the metallic taste she was expecting. Rather, it had a rich, heady flavor like liquified power. it was almost...addicting.
Roland felt her warm, soft tongue on his skin. Honestly, it was a very pleasant sensation.
However, Roland was a bit surprised. He wanted to simply pour a few drops in her mouth, and did not expect that she would be so bold.
But he frowned a moment later. Her tongue was now wrapped around his finger and she pulled it deeper into her mouth, trying to suck the blood from him. It was a fairly erotic move, yet he was concerned about something else.
Damn, he thought. He should have warned her earlier, but he had only remembered just now. To explain, because Roland was so powerful, his energy was seeped into every part of his body, including his blood. No, especially his blood. It was, quite literally, like raw, liquified power. It was similar to how the body parts of a magical beast became more precious the stronger it became. Similarily, Roland was the same, but he was still alive and also his power greatly exceeded nearly all magical beasts. As such, the amount of power stored in his blood was much higher and purer. A single drop of his blood would be enough to power cities. there were many people who would love to have his blood, especially those of the vampire races.
This was bad. Reina was currently sucking a lot of blood from him. He wasnt sure what effect that would have later.
Not wasting any time, Roland took his finger away and quickly drew a cut across one of Reina's fingers and licked the blood from the open wound. She had a hazy look in her eye and her body temperture was rising.
Roland did not hesitate. With the blood link established, he drove his spiritual energy inside her.
Soon the rest of the world faded away.
---------------------------------
Reina stood in a endless white space. it was neither cold, warm, or really anything at all. However, it was somehow comforting. it was a very weird place. There was not even any real ground, yet how could she stand? She wasnt floating, she was sure. Her senses were kinda thrown off. Where. . .?
" This" a voice called out, " is your mind. Well, our mind. There is no real distinction here."
" Roland!" Reina said, relieved. if she was stuck here by herself, she did not know what she would have done. " This place... it's our mind. . . ? why does it seem so empty?"
"Well, it's only a small part of our mind. A space created for the sole purpose of training. I used my spirit energy to create it. Though its supported by me, it is "owned" by the both of us. Here, we can do anything we want. Well, before we get into that, i want to say that i'm sorry." he bowed his head slightly in guilt.
"Sorry? Why do you. . .AH!" she remembered! Her head was a bit hazy then, and so she wasnt aware of it, but now that her mind was cleared, she remembered her actions in excruciating detail, causing her to blush furiously and want to hide in a hole for eternity.
"Yeah. . . that wasnt intentional, but i am still to blame. My blood has alot of raw power in it, something i forgot to mention earlier. Though, really, i did not expect you to suck on my finger so suddenly . I wanted to just give you a few drops, but. . . Well, i didnt think you would do that. " He had a small, almost teasing smile flicker across his face, causing Reina's embarrassment to soar to new heights.
"P-please just forget about it already!" she was nearly in tears.
" Haha, well, that aside, shall we begin? i figure we have around two, three hundred days in here. That extra blood you took in actually had a pretty good influence on this space." He laughed a bit at her expression. It was a cute, almost child-like reaction from her.
". . .What did you have in mind?" she asked hesitently.

Apex Immortal: a LitRPG system rampage
"Across the multiverse where the contest for power is the only constant, only a handful have succeeded in reaching the ultimate heights of ascendency and gained the title Apex Immortal. Dominus is one of them, unsurpassed in overwhelming violence, feared across universes. Now, memories locked and stranded far away from everything he’d built, Dominus will face enemies that will challenge even his powers and discover that change is more difficult than destruction." I’ve been writing fiction on and off for the last decade and I’ve always wondered how a peak immortal (or an OP superhero) would single handedly conquer a world that mirrors our own in all of its complexity. As a politics nerd, this is my attempt at answering that question using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as the primary playbook. The “monsters” are entire political systems with entrenched culture. Expect many versions of real world political systems (and cultures) to be on the hit list. The MC has to successfully institute regime and cultural change without engaging in wholesale genocide and causing the state to fail. Expect things to go wrong pretty quickly as escalating and cascading political and economic effects rapidly go out of control. Methods deployed are not for the faint hearted.
