Human (dead) – Level 1[tr]
[tr]HEALTHN/ASTR12END9DEX5SPD10WIS0INT0
Congratulations your has increased a level
Aaron frowned at the charging undead high status and lack of health but decided to warp its neck with a invisible string and squeezed, it simply continued on as if nothing happened “right, no breathing” changing his approach he pulled the zombie back but it was too strong and only slowed down a little.
Bang!
The boom from a shotgun rang besides his ear and blew the creature’s head clean off “That works too” releasing his strings he watched as a wave of gunfire rang out all around him and the charging zombies had their limbs or heads blown off but they still crawled on, murderous desire in their dead eyes.
As the number of zombies got so dense they started to push ahead despite their defense a far more powerful and louder weapon sprang into life as Beta 3 opened fire with the huge twin barreled machinegun, the bullets passed through the dead things like a hot knife through butter sending limbs flying and even cutting some by the waist blowing huge holes in their bodies, a single bullet could take out 6 or 7 of the creatures, humans, minotaurs, horned rats, goblins and large wolves fell in droves, disabled but not destroyed they continued to wiggle powerlessly on the ground before being trampled by those behind them.
The large gun only had to shoot for a small time to mow down the advancing undead and Beta 3 timed his shoots expertly letting the creatures gather before destroying them, when he finally stopped smoke was flowing out of its two barrels, Beta 3 reloaded in a hurry but no other zombies came into view and the few that could still move actually got up and retreated “Oh that’s not good” he said, more to himself than anyone else, activating his communicator he informed the Einherjar “Beta 2 the elite is here!” “Are you certain Loki?” “According to command zombies don’t retreat, ever, the elite must be controlling them directly” “Got it Loki things are gonna get complicated.”
Terrible screams of rage and hunger came from the night showing the horde was still there, just beyond their vision as if a powerful will keeps them away, 20 minutes of silence left them all nervous and his helmet’s night vision even showed him some movement in the distance only making it harder to wait.
The second wave of attack came as quickly as the first only this time those in the lead were not zombies but skeletons, picked clean by whatever creature had killed them there were huge bite marks on their bones.

Some of the men could not wait anymore and opened fire but the skeletons were actually harder to stop as the bullets either missed completely or chipped away at a single bone with little effect, he decided to act “Guess it is my turn”
Closing his eyes Aaron concentrated hard, harder than he had done in a long while but he had trained for this, opening his arms wide he put 500 mana into the attack and thin invisible strings spread from his fingertips, at first it was only one from each finger but soon they turned into a hundred then into a thousand, finally there were too many to count as he threw them to loop around the light post and fall like a blanket over the incoming skeletons.
Squeezing his hands into fists the strings sprang to life like snakes, twisting and turning through their bones, entering holes and joints until they were all tangled up, then he pulled, closing his arms and actually crossing them over his chest the lines snapped becoming tense and pulling the bones apart one by one, even the smallest of bones were not spared.
When he opened his eyes again he saw the skeleton army had became nothing more than single bones hanging in the air, dissolving his strings the bones fell down to litter the ground, unfortunately it was far from over.
You have slain skeleton level 1 x 198 + 2613 XP
You have slain skeleton level 2 x 3 + 46 XP
So it seems that completely pulling their bones apart actually counted as utter destroying them he mused, before he had time to recover, fast and small screaming zombies charged them, children, teenagers and even babies crawling on the ground, they came spread apart, dodging and crossing each other to make it harder to hit, their appearance stunned the men before their eyes turned red in a quiet rage, the guns sounded again in the night as they actually took their time aiming, concentrating once more he pulled all seven blades from their sheaths making them rise soundlessly in the air.
Congratulation has risen a level
Focusing on the incoming horror he sent his blades chopping heads or limbs trying to disable the fast creatures, even he was affected by the sight of a hundred dead children, it was somehow worse than thousands of adults “Control find me the elite damn it!” “We got a satellite over your location Loki but unless the elite deliberately do anything suspicious it will be hard”
The sound of scrapping metal called his attention once again to the distance where a pair of minotaurs worked together to push a car turned on its side ahead of a great sea of undead advancing on a light jog, soon more cars become visible, Beta 3 screamed “Don’t let them get close!” turning his twin barreled machinegun on the advancing cars he shoot them full of holes but, while the metal did not fully stop the bullets, it diminished their power by a lot “the grenade launcher!”

The ex. Soldier holding Beta 3’s own gun lifted the riffle with a grenade launcher attached and shoot, the wind started to deviate the grenade from its target but they were close enough that Aaron managed to guide them with his strings to fall directly bellow the makeshift shields turning them into balls of fire, the minotaurs bellowed in pain as the machinegun hit them doing incredible damage once more, another 3 cars got blown up.
“On the walls!” screamed one of the men and he switched his attention, like spiders the zombies were trying to flank them by climbing over the building walls “Snipe them let me and Loki take care of the street!” increasing his shooting rate Beta 3 focused on stopping the dead from advancing while he used his blades to cripple the fallen.
It took them 30 minutes of constantly shooting, the guns nearly overheating, but the last of the zombies fell, none of them having made past the defense line “You think this is it Eron?” asked a man with a handgun “I don’t know man” looking at the other defenders already relieved he shook his head “I certainly hope not” “What, why?” “Because if this is all that came our way the other nodes are screwed”
They all looked at him dumbfounded for a second before quickly starting to recharge their weapons, better safe than sorry.
Strange movements among the pile of zombies ahead of them caught his attention, turning his head he watched it, nearly convincing himself it was just the normal wiggling when the moving increased in speed “Fire team burn them! Burn them now!” he screamed over his communicator but it was already too late.
The fallen bodies, limbs and other pieces started spinning around on the ground and gathering in a tornado of blood and flesh finally sticking together in a macabre growing ball of human and monster parts, soon it was the size of a small elephant then it was the size of a small house.
“What the hell…?” words stuck in his mouth he watched as the ball of flesh uncurled itself into a terrible giant made of countless bodies, all its tiny mouths roared in unison as it stretched and towered at least 8 meters over them.
Minor Undead Abomination – Level 14[tr]
[tr]HEALTHN/ASTR30END7DEX4SPD7WIS0INT0
A single second of awed silence rang between them before everyone opened fire at the same time, even he pulled out his handgun and discharged at the fucking thing, blood and bits of flesh flew everywhere but the creature barely noticed, slowly focusing on the barricade it took its first step.
Manifesting Aaron used all his strength to pick up a fallen lamp post and pierced it all the way through its head to absolutely no effect, grabbing one of the burning car remains the abomination threw it with extreme power blasting a hole into the barricade, grabbing another one it aimed better.
Beta 3 jumped out of the machinegun’s seat just in time to see it being hit by the flying ball of deformed metal “Retreat! Retreat!” helping a man up he started running as Beta 3 got his gun back from the ex. Soldier and shoot all the remaining grenades towards the thing only managing to blow small wounds on its grotesque body.
Using Aaron grabbed the fallen machinegun and turned it towards the monster’s leg, thankfully it still worked as he used the remaining bullets to cut off its left limb, the recoil alone nearly broke his skill, it still tried to charge him but fell over without a leg giving them enough time to run as it actually started to heal.
“Beta 2 we lost the first barricade tell the others to retreat!” vaulting over the inner barricade he turned to see the abomination actually get up once again and grab the pole piercing its head, pulling it loose the creature threw it like a spear towards them crushing 2 men and piercing the ground deeply.
When Erick’s team also finished retreating Beta 2 picked up a metal box filled with wires and turned a key stuck into it.
KRAKABOOM!
All the glass windows were blown apart as the street disappeared into a cloud of rubble and smoke from the extremely powerful bombs, he waited quietly, his eyes never leaving the street as the dust started to settle down.
A zombie jumped at one of the men’s back ridding him into the ground and ripping his throat out in a show of extreme savagery and power, it had came from their backs.
“Loki, Siegfried, they got in!” screamed Beta 2 “They are jumping down from inside the buildings!” looking up Aaron saw dozens of zombies throwing themselves out of the fifth floor windows above them, undisguised hate in their eyes as they fell inside the barricade, the scream of hundreds of resonating voices came from inside the dust as it parted to reveal a damaged and burnt aberration getting up once again.

A Hunt Upon Wings of Shadows
Lianne has spent the last few years of her life as a nomadic monster-hunter, aimlessly taking jobs and disappearing without a trace. Her innately high ether reserves are the only thing that’s keeping her alive. After a painful yet successful contract, she receives an offer to hunt a peculiar beast from a mysterious man who- much to her dismay- pairs her with a man by the name of Sirius, a skilled swordsman with too much empathy to give out. At the same time, inside the impossibly tall walls of the divine city, a group of soldiers including a naive yet powerful girl by the name of Felicia, an exemplar soldier named Raynauld, and a scarred and aloof woman named Maria prepare to head out on a mission to deliver justice to a deserter who is reported to be in a large town far outside the lush interior of the city. However, the two groups will find that their paths will intertwine, and painful memories will push them against each other at every turn, with new monsters emerging from the shadows to pick each of them apart piece by piece. ************************** Alright, so this is the first book I've posted here, and I've been sitting on this idea for a long while. I'm open to any pieces of criticism, and I would be glad to receive tips and advice. Enjoy! Normally, new chapters come out Saturday nights, sometimes double uploads if there's a short chapter or if I feel like it. That's subject to change if I run out of the current backlog. Second note, this is the first draft, and some things (like a few characters) are going to be cut. It's still going to be the same storyline, but keep that in mind.
