An Eventful Meeting with a Witch

The day has come for Caleb to make his adventures. Unlike any other gamer who aims for the top spot, Caleb had a different purpose. He liked going on an adventure, he enjoyed the game that way. While other players had different reasons why they play R.O, he liked going places and discover things in the game. While doing so the levels and items comes along with it. Caleb had one aspect like any player's also and that is having pvp (player versus player). He had fun facing opponents and knowing that there are player's out there that are stronger than him. Having someone stronger than you makes you train harder. In the last game he played he earned the respect of players because of two things, pvp and adventuring. He was one of the best when it comes to pvp and he was one of the players who triumphed against quests that people said unbeatable, he discovered place's people can only imagine to go. He is a gamer.

Waking up Caleb decided to have a proper meal seeing as he only ate noodles or canned goods for the past days. Cooking a healthy meal a familiar tone sounded. It was that time of the year again where Caleb needed to get his grades from college. The 1st semester was about to end and he needed to get his grades and show them to the foundation which granted him a scholarship. Going to a tri-sem college is beneficial for him because this will lessen the time needed to go to school. After eating he took a bath and headed for school he will have to postpone his plans ingame.

Caleb was smiling as he walked knowing that he passed all his classes with flying colors but the real reason was because of the sem break which will last for a month and a half. He has more time to play the game. The walk from his dorm to the college was only 30 minutes, it would take 1 hour for other people but with him who liked free running it was an easy feat. Walking inside the building he earned glances from the students and some greetings as he headed to the cashier's office. A lot of students were forming lines infront of the offices, some infront of the teachers desks trying to plead to them for a passing grade. The teachers blame the students for having such grades because they play too much and not know how to manage their time for school and gaming. Caleb smiled at himself, he was enjoying the sight he was looking at. Suddenly he heard his name being called out he looked at the direction where he heard it.

Looking at the old man Caleb headed towards the teacher, "Good morning sir, do you need anything?"

"Have you forgotten my job proposition for you this coming month?" Mr. Martinez called out.

Caleb did forget about it, he looked shyly at the teacher and nodded his head. The teacher wanted him to teach a class of high schoolers near the college about psychology for 3 weeks, 2 hours each day, a subject he aced in. Of course this will come with pay so he have no problems with it and just 2 hours each day of his time he can still play R.O a lot.

"Thats okay so have you decided?" The teacher asked him. Mr. Martinez was fond of the boy, not only did Caleb made himself go to school but he also is a very talented student who used his intelligence in helping others. Who wouldnt help a kid like that right?

"I will do it sir."

The teacher smiled at him and gestured for him to follow. Mr. Martinez took out an envelope and handed it to Caleb. "All the things you need is in here, I already talked to the principal, he was quite taken back when i recommended you but he agreed once he saw your grades."

"Thank you Mr. Martinez. " Caleb smiled at the teacher.

He walked out of the office and once more headed to the cashier's office to get his grades. He needed a certified copy of it with the signature of the cashier with a document saying this is not a forgery. (Maybe your wondering why he needs to get his grades in the cashier's office? Its because most schools here in the Philippines wont release your grades if you didnt pay your balance or tuition)

"Hi Caleb are you free later? Want to join us to the mall for a meal?" A girl dressed in a formal attire said to him. Behind her was 5 more girls smilling widely at him.

"Sorry miss President but I have issues that needs my attention at the moment. Maybe next time?" Caleb said to her. He kept declining this kind of offers from girls in his school, he didnt want to waste time, he'd rather do something else than waste time like that. He preferred people who would rather ask him to tutor them, he never refused those kinds of requests from students.

"You always say that Caleb but its okay we understand." Smiled the girl walking away with her friends.

Walking further he was greeted by some boys who in the past asked for him to tutor them. "Thanks Caleb we had passing grades because of your help." Mark said to him. "Yah thanks Caleb." The others seconded.

Caleb smiled at them and excused himself. Walking to the line of students, he stood at the end. A few more people said their thanks to Caleb as he stood there. It came to him that he tutored a lot of people in his college. He smiled and acknowledged them as they said hi.

It was Calebs turn to talk to the cashier and he asked for the lady to please make a document saying the grades were authentic. Waiting for her to finish a ruckus was being made at the back. Turning around he saw the line parting apart like the red sea. A female was walking slowly joined by her friends as the line parted. 'What the, is this a movie or something?' He thought.

The female stopped in front of him, it was the self proclaimed princess walking with her 3 friends. They earned the title "Witches of the 4 Paths", coincidentally the group of females lived in four different directions from the college. North was for Nisa Pinn a.k.a Snow, East was for Hannah Giovanni a.k.a Queen (I was supposed to change it but that would be troublesome so Queen stays), West was for Scarlet Mariano a.k.a Primrose, and South for Glenda Sarya a.k.a Sarah. Caleb was baffled as to why they were called "Witches" the group can be easily mistaken as princesses though they were literally princesses who all are beautiful in their own way. Another coincidence was that they also played R.O using their nicknames, Caleb knew Queen did because he saw her ingame. The group were heir's to millionaire parents. Caleb knew about them because the people he tutors often tell him things about other people.

Caleb thought she might say something again so he moved to the side. He didnt want to be mixed in some kind of trouble with the Queen again so he decided to let her go 1st. The Queen was about to say something but Caleb cut her off.

"You can go first Queen and your friends." He let out making way for the them.

"Caleb im finished with the documents." The lady glared at Queen handing the paperworks to him. "Theres a reason why there's a line you know," she sarcastically added looking at the group of female's.

He smiled at the cashier, "Thank you ma'am." Walking slightly faster he wanted to get out of there fast.

"Anytime!" Shouted the lady.

The crowd watched the scene in front of them unfold. The Untouchable King they called Caleb because of his constant refusal from females who asks him out. The guys looked up to him even the higher level students liked him because he never took advantage of someone instead he helped everyone who asked.

Hannah's PoV (point of view)

I woke up early today to see my grades, the girls had plans to meet at school early.Its been one semester already and I still didn't apologize to him, I never saw him in Splendor City also. The restrictions wouldn't let any players go outside yet I didnt get to see him since that night. I asked the girls to help me look for him in game yet we didn't even see a glimpse of him.

I asked my driver to hastily drive me to school. Usually he would take the highway but because of traffic he used another route. I was looking at the view from my side of the window when I suddenly saw him running like a ninja jumping from roof to roof and avoiding things blocking his path. What do you call it again parkour? Yah thats it, wow he really is athletic.

"Amazing!" I accidentally let out.

"Did you say something miss?" My driver asked.

"No Mr. Diaz." I blushed.

Whats gotten into me? I looked at the window again but he isnt there anymore. We arrived at the school building and I saw Scarlet standing near the entrance, she once again as always was the early bird of our group. I greeted her and saw my other friends walking towards us. We walked in and saw other student's looking at us. Nisa pointed at him, he was talking to Mr. Martinez and they headed to his office. After a while he came out and he headed to the cashier's office down the hall.

He was walking until a girl talked to him, the president of the student body was talking to him. Nisa was about to intrude so that I can speak to him but I quickly held her hand. She stopped and we headed for the cafeteria instead. My friends knew that I wanted to ask for an apology but with all the distractions and such I cant find the right time to do so.

He headed to the end of the line and stood there. We were facing him from our spot, a lot of people were greeting him and he smiled at them. He never showed that kind of smile in front of me, who would blame him right? As the line moved it was his turn to talk to the cashier and i realized that if he finishes later he will be gone again.

I mustered my courage and walked to his direction. I was gonna wait for him at the end of the line when suddenly the line parted. Glenda pushed me a little, it caused me to take a step so I decided to walk slowly to him. Every step I made the line parted, I was so nervous I felt I was out of my body. He stood there looking at me, I took my last step and I was infront of him, an arms length away. I wanted to talk but words wont come out of my mouth. My lips only moved but only a sound came out.

"You can go first Queen and your friends." He said looking at me and my friends. He thought I was asking him to leave again like I did the last time, I felt like crying, I was misunderstood once again. If only I didnt do that stupid thing when we were sitting beside each other in that class.

The cashier lady looked at me menacingly as she handed documents to him, I wanted to stop him from leaving but he walked away from us. Why cant I talk to him normally? Why does my shyness go overdrive when it comes to him?

Another chance went to waste huhu. My friends looked at me and they gestured that I follow them. I talked to the lady and took our grades and went away. We headed out of the compound and we decided to hang out at the mall which is owned by Scarlet's parents.

'Caleb.....' I thought, ' I wont call you your name until I say sorry and become your friend.'

My will burned like fire. I will succeed.

Caleb headed to the foundation to pass his grades. As he walked he thought about playing R.O he was getting excited to start his adventure already, this caused him to run faster as the foundation was found in the other side of town.

"Acho!!"

Caleb thought someone was talking about him. He just shrugged and continued to run. Now that he has some business to attend to during the break he wanted to use his time wisely so that he can play more. Arriving at the foundation he quickly went to the secretary's office. Giving his grades to the secretary who looked happy looking at his grades, the man handed another envelope. Caleb looked at it and he received an extra amount of cash because the man was happy to see that he aced his classes. The foundation awarded students who did their best.

Walking home Caleb decided to buy some food for later and some necessities. The mall he went to was having a sale so he went there. Usually he didnt go there because the prices are usually expensive. He was about to pay when he saw her paying at the counter. The girl had long hair which extended to her waist, she looked cute with her simple outfit, her big brown eyes will make anyone blush with just a stare. He lowered his head and hoped the girl didnt see him but it was to late the girl walked up to him.

"Hello Caleb, I dont know if you know me but its a coincidence meeting you here." The long haired girl who is skinny but had the right amount of curves in the right places smiled at him.

Caleb smiled at the greeting, "It is indeed Scarlet Mariano."

The girl was taken back as she saw his smile. "I see you bought a lot, let me pay for them as a gesture of goodwill from a friend to a friend." The students in his college made some investigations about him which resulted for the entire student body to learn about his life. What do you expect in a school where the rich usually attended.

Looking shocked Caleb wondered why the heiress would do something like that. He was about to decline when the female uttered another word.

"Please I insist." She smiled widely and already gave money to the sales lady.

"Thank you Scarlet Mariano, its good to know that your not like your other friend." Caleb let out.

Scarlet was slightly taken back with his words. She knew about the instance where one of her best friends spilled coffee and embarrassed someone. She knew it was all a misunderstanding and eversince that day Hannah tried to apologize. Scarlet decided to speak up, "You know Caleb, uhmnn Hannah is really shy when it comes to other people because of this she rarely tries to be friend others. She's one of the most honest person I know and she really feels terrible about what happened."

"I see, not to be rude or anything Scarlet but shouldn't your friend be the one who is doing the apologizing?" He retorted.

"I know what she did may look like she's a cold person but.." Scarlet reasoned out.

"Please Scarlet I know what your trying to do, I commend you for what your trying to do. You're a really great friend seeing as your saying sorry for her but until I see it with my own eyes, she will stay a cold hearted and boastful person to me."Scarlet stopped trying to reason out for her friend. She understands where Caleb is coming from, " You're right I was out of place." She knew that this was between the both of them.

"Once again thank you for your kind gesture towards someone like me." Caleb bowed and smiled at her. He took his groceries and as he walked pass her, Caleb gently touched her right cheek saying, "Now I understand why you're called Primrose."

Suddenly Caleb snapped out of his daze and quickly walked away with a face bright like a tomato. He never did anything like that before but as he started to think about it maybe it was because he was attracted to kind hearted people.

The girl stood there for a few minutes, she was shocked by what occurred, her face was a deep color of red. She turned around and smiled as she stared at the silhouette of the guy who faded in the crowd.

Walking to her friends who were waiting for her to bring their beverages, the red haired girl asked her, "What took you so long?" Nisa had a questioned look on her face.

"I saw Caleb when I was paying for the beverages." She answered.

The name bolted like thunder to her senses causing Hannah to look around. She was gonna stand on top of the table if not for Glenda stopping her.The four of them looked at each other and started laughing lightly causing people to glance at the four beauty who were a sight to behold.
