Chapter 19

Standing in front of the completely shocked Noah, Vincent had switched back to being Mike. He had been prepared to transform even if Alex and Klaud were around, but since the first was unconscious and the second was safe at another location, he no longer had any reserve. Besides, he always liked the feeling of being in his well built adult body. Besides the fact that it could engage in “adult” play, it also felt comfortable for his already developed mind. He didn’t like looking at the world from such a small perspective.

Tykki: ...Kid, you are just full of surprises, aren’t you? Wait, are you even a kid?

Mike: Nope, not that it matter much to you, seeing as you won’t be alive for much longer. Also, just checking before I murder you in the most brutal way imaginable, Sophie, John, and Russell are dead because of you, right?

Road: Ah, you mean that group made up of a buff guy, a scrawny man, and a crying girl? The first was eaten alive after he got swarmed and the second died watching the girl get killed in front of him before his head got chomped off. Hahahah-

Mike: Good, then die for today. Both of you aren’t leaving here alive. (Sophie, Jack, Russell, sorry I wasn’t there to help. Don’t worry, I promise that I'll finish your guys's life mission of ridding the world of akuma and the Earl. Also, Jack, if I get strong enough, I’ll make sure that you and Sophie reincarnate together and that you’ll have a whole lifetime together… You guys at least deserve that.)

Flashback

Sophie: Hey, Vincent, I see the way that you look at Alex. Hur-hur, you sure you don’t have any special feelings for her?

Vincent: Of course I do. I’m not afraid of admitting my feelings unlike yours for Jack.

Sophie: W-What are you talking about!? I don’t-

Vincent: Just so you know, he feels the same, so you should try being more aggressive.

Sophie: ...Okay, I guess I’ll trust you, You’re like a brother to me, and siblings should trust each other.

After that, Sophie and Jack got together. This was barely a month before their final mission.

Mike: (Don’t worry, your “little brother” will keep his promise. I mean, look at my situation. Not even death will stop me; however, to accomplish my goals, I can’t let it hinder me. I have to survive until the very end to have the highest possible chance of success.)

Ending his inner thoughts, Mike began forming hand signs at a rapid pace. Immediately after, he finished, clouds of smoke appeared next to him. Once the air settled, 6 more identical “Mikes” appeared beside him. Each of them looking at the Noah with a gaze that seemed fitting for a grim reaper. Cold. Emotionless. A face that made one think that that wearer was simply going through another day at the office. And that made an emotion appear deep in the Noah’s hearts. An emotion that only rarely showed itself. Fear.

Tykki: (This is bad. The situation’s taken a turn for the worse.) Boy, don’t do anything rash. Remember, your friend’s life is at ri- Road, look out!

Tykki’s warning didn’t make it in time. Another Mike appeared from beneath the earth and stabbed Road with a kunai.(B: The most useless weapon in one anime becomes completely useful in another.) He then proceeded to grasp Alex in his arms and jump back to where his other copies were.

Mike: Really? Is she poisoned or something? She feels pretty warm in my arms though…

Mike simply gave the gaping Tykki a mocking smile as he held Alex safely in his arms. This Mike was a shadow clone of the original, so it proceeded to run towards the direction where Klaud and the others were since it could simply dissipate and the real Mike would know that Alex had made it safely. After it had left with Alex, the Noah finally got rid of their shock. Tykki could feel the sweat on his back while Road looked extremely pissed off for being stabbed by Mike. If looks could.. Er.. murder! Ha, there, totally original. If looks could murder, Mike would have been mutilated many time already.(B: *facepalm*)

Road: ...Tykki, I want to kill him.

Tykki: I know you do, but we should really focus on leaving. If we don’t, we might really die.

Road: ...Fine. We still better kill him later on.

Mike: Sorry, but do you guys not speak english? I said, I’m not letting you leave here without sending your souls off…(Tykki can pretty much control the laws of physics, and he “awakens” later on in the show. I need to take care of him quickly before he has his “awakening”, otherwise I might have to use points to quickly heal my other body in order to deal with him and Road. By the way, how many points do I have?)

After finishing the inner monologue, the 7 Mikes charged at the Noah with the intent to kill, some weaving hand signs and some simply charging with kunais or throwing shurikens. While each one only had about ⅛ of the original’s chakra reserve, they still each had strength nearing jounin. While against strong characters from the narutoverse, the strength might seem pretty insignificant, but against non-ninjas, they were more than enough. Well, that would be the case if they weren’t up against something like the Noah.

Road used her ability and changed their location to her pocket dimension, keeping them trapped inside.

Tykki: Road, I thought we agreed on escaping?

Road: We will, but first, I want to play with him. Just. For. A. Little. Bit.

Even with the sudden change in location, the Mikes seemed undisturbed, continuing their attacks as if they already expected it. 5 engaged Tykki while the other 2 went for Road. (A: Just so you know, the extent of Tykki’s speed isn’t known, so I’m just gonna have it be as fast as what Mike is capable of.) Tykki first tried swarming them with Teez, flesh eating butterflies, but one of the clones used a type of fire-style jutsu, burning them all away. Once Tykki saw that it was ineffective, he gave up on trying to fight at a distance and attempted to use his ability to create a vacuum to try and kill a chunk of the Mike’s. Once the black sphere appeared, 2 Mikes were caught up in it. It only lasted for one second, but they simply disappeared.

Tykki: What?! Ha! They’re illusions. As long as the real one doesn’t hit, then I’m fine.

After saying so, Tykki allowed one of the Mikes to hit him. When he felt contact, he knew it was real.

Tykki: So, you’re the original. All I have to do is take care of you and-

Road: Tykki, they’re all real!

Tykki: Wha!

Road’s warning came too late. By the time she told Tykki the truth, the other 4 Mikes had already stabbed him. The wounds he received were pretty deep. After gaining some distance from them, Tykki, was standing, bleeding all over the floor.

Tykki: (Tch, how could I be so careless. I was sure that they were only illusions… Wait, now that I think about, the other clone seemed to do damage to to Road… did my emotions make it so that I couldn’t think straight.)

Road: Tykki, are you-

Tykki: Road, run. He isn’t someone we can take care of. Go back and tell the Earl. (Who is this guy? There should be no one else with this level of power that we don't have Intel on...)

Road: But-

Tykki: Now! And don’t worry about me, it’s more important to let them know about him!

Road: ... Fine.

After saying so, the young Noah dissipated the pocket dimension, bringing them back to the forest. After doing so, a portal appeared behind her. The reason she wasn’t interrupted was because the 2 clones that had originally been fighting her disappeared during their fight. They managed to inflict some damage, but her healing ability was just too strong. Besides, all it took was one good hit and they went poof. Mike had already abandoned thoughts on making her stay. He realized halfway through the fight that he wasn’t strong enough to kill both Noah, so he thought that since one was leaving, he should quickly finish the fight with the other and then leave. After all, he wasn’t in a hurry. He had a whole lifetime to eradicate the Earl, Noah, and Akuma.

Road: ...Tykki, make sure you make it back. I’ll bring everyone quickly, so try to hold on for a little while.

Tykki: Don’t worry, it should only take a few minutes for you to gather everyone. I can hold on for that long.

Road: ...Okay.

After saying her final line, Road walked through the door and it disappeared.

Tykki: So, all I have to do is hold on for a few minutes and I’ll be fine.

Mike: Well, you would, but unfortunately, you’re already dead.

Tykki: Wha- *cough* Wha-, What are these insects!? They’re inside me!?(A: Quote of the day.)

Flashback

6 months ago...

ES: Hey, Mike, why are you getting bugs? Why not just a poison enhancement or something?

Mike: I would, but these bugs are way cheaper than any of those mutations, and I also want to experiment with akuma blood I’ve saved up. In case I ever have too, even if it means destroying a soul, I can use these bugs to hopefully kill troublesome akuma. Who knows, maybe i can even use them on the Earl or the Noah if the experiment works.

Kidaichu

Origin: Naruto

Description: Bugs that consume flesh and quickly increase in size if fed the wrong amount of chakra. Only a queen is given after purchasing. Will give birth every 2 weeks. Each egg has an incubation period of 4 months. Information on basic use/care will be given upon purchase.

Cost: 500

After purchasing, a bug larger than a person’s head appeared. ES was a little disgusted at the sight of it, but Mike held nothing but high expectations. He also felt knowledge on how to take care of and use the Kidaichu appear in his memories. He then made it so that a part of his dimension transformed into a forest like biome(only regular plants/fungi can be made without spending points) and had the Kidaichu Queen live there. A cool feature that ES told him about is that since this is his dimension, he can choose which types of energies are present; however, they are only there is he himself is in possession of them.

Luckily enough, the queen immediately gave birth to the first egg the moment it felt comfortable. From then on, the cycle would continue with the Queen giving birth and shadow clones taking care of the newborn insects until they matured enough. ES even began to help out halfway since she felt like she wasn’t doing enough to help Mike, which made Mike extremely grateful. Also, Mike experimented when he had time and found out that as long as he fed the bugs a certain amount of chakra when they came into contact with the akuma blood, they would be able to develop enough resistance to it so that it no longer greatly affected them. He felt that he was making a wise investment with the insects, but he absolutely had no idea that they would be useful this early on...

Mike: I really am glad I got these guys and taught them how to attack when they were inside someone who isn’t using chakra. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be able to kill you…

Tykki: How aren’t they affected by my body!?

Mike: Trade secret. Also, since this is usually the time where the protagonist would give you a second too long to somehow awaken or calm down so that you could just use your ability to kill my insects, I’m taking your life right now.

Of course, by the time Mike was halfways through his speech, he had already killed the Noah. He didn’t want to give him any chances, so he played it safe just in case he did manage to reecover. After completely crushing Tykki’s head while simultaneusly stabbing it, he had one of his clones use fire-style jutsu to burn the body. Afterwards, he used what little soul energy he had recovered to make sure there wasn’t a soul or something left. There wasn’t.

Mike: I should probably get out of here. I do not want to deal with the entire Noah family and possibly the Earl just yet… Alright, come back you guys.

After calling back his insects, he sent them back to his dimension and dissipated his clones. He then proceeded to run in the direction of where Klaud, Alex, and the others were located at. The entire journey, he had a slightly cheerful face on.

Mike: I was wondering why the “Stopping the Noah family” side quest didn’t mention a specific reward.
