Chapter 18
Currently, Klaud and her group were in quite the predicament. Not only were there 2 Noah that they had to deal with, they also had to deal with a ton of lvl 2 and lvl 3 akumas. It might have been possible to defeat the current line up in front of them, but the only truly capable exorcist in the group was Klaud. The other 2 were just supposed to fill in the numbers since headquarters didn't think the situation would be this bad. Not even for a second did they think to doubt one of the 5 general’s strength, and now that carelessness might cost them one of their most powerful exorcists.
Klaud: (This is a pretty bad situation. If it was just one Noah or just the 2, then we might stand a chance, but against them and an army of that quality and quantity, I don't think I'm we're making it out alive… Forgive me Vincent, I might not be able to keep that promise when you're older...)
After putting her thoughts in order, Klaud ordered the other 2 exorcists to get ready for combat and told them that since they probably weren't gonna make it out alive, they might as well fight to the death. After doing this, Klaud had Lau transform and steeled herself for the coming battle.
POV Shift
When Vincent and Alex got to the scene of carnage, they saw Klaud and the 2 exorcists fighting wave after wave of akuma. The fact that there were only lvl 2 and lvl 3 akuma surprised them, but not as much as the danger that the 2 grey skinned people were giving off. Vincent immediately recognized them once he saw them, and knew the situation was bad.
Vincent: (Shit, why are Tykki and Road here? Doesn't matter, Klaud’s in trouble.)
He wanted to jump in and save them, but he was held back by Alex who told him to wait for the perfect moment to interfere. She convinced him that coming out at the wrong time would be fatal. They waited for a while and eventually Klaud and the 2 exorcists became overwhelmed. Just as it seemed they were about to lose, Vincent shot some bullets at the akuma.
Tykki: Who!?
Vincent: Fuck you, that's who.
After replying, Vincent was already slicing through Akuma after Akuma, not caring about their levels. (B: I feel this may be a tad exaggerated, but it's close enough) All he cared about at that moment was getting Klaud out of harm's way since he didn't want to lose anyone else...
Tykki and Road were so surprised at the sight that they didn’t even fight back for a while.
Tykky: (Who are those kids? Wait a minute, isn’t that the same kid that the Earl told us about, the one with the parasitic-type innocence?) Road, we’ll have to take care of the kid. He’ll be dangerous if he grows up. I remember the Earl talking about the fact that a little kid managed to kill a lvl 3, and a year’s already passed since then. Considering that he’s already strong enough to take down lvl 3s in less than 5 attacks, he’s a threat that we need to get rid of right now.

Road: Aw, but he looks so adorable. Hey, do you think we can just take him with us?
Tykki: No, too risky. He dies here.
Road: Aw, fine. Such a waste…
Meanwhile, Vincent and Alex were still cutting down akuma and they had arrived at the spot where Klaud and the others were lying down injured. Lau was the only reason that they hadn't been overrun yet.
Klaud: ...Vincent? Why are you here!? Don’t you know how dangerous the situation is!?
Vincent: I do, but I don’t want to lose you. You still have to keep your promise, right?
Vincent whispered the last part into her ear, causing her to blush as she recalled the promise. If only she knew that the reason he whispered into her ear was to keep Alex from hearing...
Vincent: Well, I’ll explain some things later on, but for now, sit tight and try not to get caught as a hostage. I’ll take care of things from here on.
After saying that, Vincent made sure to help Alex out with destroying the remaining akuma. Or, at least they were supposed to.
Tykki: You didn't think we'd just let you get in the way. Those akuma spent a lot of time to evolve, we can't just let you kill them all willy nilly.
After the voice registered in his head, Vincent felt his instincts warn him as he quickly pushed Alex out of the way.
Alex: Wha- Vincent!
Alex managed to turn around mid-fall and see Vincent impaled by metal rods. While they didn't hit his head, they did hit his chest and limbs. The shock of the scene left her unable to move as she didn't even stand up.
Road: Oh, that looks like it hurts. Want me to nurse you back to health?
Vincent: ...Sorry, but you're not my type.
Road: Tch! He's just an ungrateful brat. Hey, Tykki, can I finish him off?
Tykki: No, it'd be better if I did. You should just take care of the little girl.
Road: Aw, ok, I'll just have fun with her. Show me a good time~
Alex: How dare you do that to him. Don't you dare touch him!
*Clang*
Road: Uh-Uh-uh, not yet. Why not show me a good time?
Alex: Tch!
Tykki: Now that she's out of the way, I guess I should be taking care of y-
Vincent: Zanpakuto!
Tykki: Wha!
Since the Noah were taking their sweet time thinking he was crippled, Vincent had used a combination of his soul energy and faith energy to heal his body. Once that was done, he immediately chose to transform into his shinigami form since he knew he was going to have to show all of his cards if he was going to survive this time. He couldn't afford to hold back since not only was his life in danger, Alex and Klaud were also involved.

Vincent: Sorry, but you were just really unfortunate to run into me today. Even though the Earl will know about me if he doesn't already, I should at least take care of you. I'm sure Sophie and the others wouldn't be able to rest in peace if I let you guys continue to roam.
Tykki: (What is that sword? For some reason, it gives off a similar feeling like that of innocence, and yet it feels different...) Really, you're just full of surprises.
Vincent: Aren't I? Well, you're about to find out just how full of them I am.
Once the short conversation ended, Vincent charged at the Noah while easily slicing through akuma with his zanpakuto and anti-akuma weapon. Anyone could clearly see that he was now on a whole different level than before. Not even lvl 3s slowed him down as he simply cut through them with ease; however, only Vincent knew how draining this mode he was currently in was…
Vincent: (I can't be like this for more than 5 minutes. I've gotta end this or else I'll have to switch into my other body, and I don't want Alex or Klaud to find out yet. I might lose all the progress I've made with them if I reveal that I'm actually older than what I appear to be...)
Vincent continued slashing through every akuma before him so as to get rid of them in case he used up all his faith and soul energy. He knew that if he just destroyed them, the people's souls would be gone for good, and so to avoid that, Vincent tried to get rid of them. Of course, Tykki wasn't staying idle and tried to use black matter to try and stop Vincent. Road was currently engaging Alex who was extremely pissed off for what had happened to Vincent because of her, and she was giving Road hell for it.
Tykki: Why isn't he slowing down at all? What kind of monster is this kid… tch, he's almost destroyed every akuma here. I'll have to have the remaining lvl 3s form a giant akuma to stall him.
As Vincent was still currently engaging the tsunami of akuma, he noticed that a large amount of lvl 3s were gathering at 1 place.
Vincent: (So they're finally forming that, huh… I better finish up here.) Steel fangs consume all, Fenrir Overgrowth! (B: The 8th grade is strong with this one...)
After finishing the incantation and stabbing his blade into the ground, large metal roots started appearing from the ground, skewering the attacking akuma. In only a matter of 10 seconds, the akuma were reduced to only about 10%; however, Vincent shouldn't have been able to deal with all of them so easily. There was another reason that there so few akuma left…
Vincent: That's gonna be a hassle to take down. Luckily, I have just enough faith and soul energy to take care of them. I've only got 10 seconds left, better hurry.
In front of Vincent was a gigantic figure, quite similar in appearance to the akuma Vincent had just been fighting. In the face of such a sight, a normal exorcist may have already given up hope. But Vincent didn't stop. In an instant, he appeared next to the giant figures chest, near where it's heart would have been. After that, he simply stabbed his blade inside, staying in that position. For 3 seconds, nothing happened. But if one looked closely, they would see Vincent whisper an inaudible chant. Finally, at the end of the 3rd second, something happened. Vincent twisted his blade, and in the blink of an eye, metal blades were protruding out of the giant’s body.
Tykki: (...WTF!)
Road: ...He's dangerous.
After about 5 seconds, the giant akuma disappeared and left nothing, even the metal blades that seemed to have ended it disappeared. Also, Vincent lost his transformation and went back to his normal human self, without any anti-akuma weapon or Zanpakuto to distinguish him. Only his albino made him noticeable. To the completely spent boy, the Noah spoke to him in a tone that suggested he had won.
Tykki: Seems you're out of steam. Well, you lasted long enough. (Holy crap, what in the world is this kid!? If I didn't see this happen in real life, I would have thought someone was just playing a joke on me...)
Road: Oy~, Tykki I knocked out the girl.
Road soon came along, carrying an unconscious and wounded Alex. It seems that she had been unable to find Klaud and the others.
Tykki: Good. Now boy, know that if you resist, we'll kill the girl. Since you're so spent, we might as well take you to the Earl so that we can find out more about you-
Vincent: Thanks. It'd be a hassle if I had to explain why I can switch bodies.
Tykki/Road: !!!
Standing in place of the white haired boy was now a sturdily built man, with short black hair and a wide grin. The aura he gave off warned the Noah that they should not mess with him…
Vincent: Now, I think it's time for a little revenge, right?

I am quite busy and write this during breaks at work. This is one of those goon-squad stories with a million characters, so "dizzying" might be a good way to describe the energy. Much of what builds up to the first arc happens in the first ten chapters, which are quite long. For that reason, if you have difficulty getting through the story, I understand, though things don't really start happening until Chapter 8-10.
