《The undead who yearned for life》58-Lending a hand

First, I'd like to say that I didn't die; but because of two reasons I couldn't write for five days.

Reason 1) I probably managed to find work , but as it is far from where I live, I had to go there and search for a possible suitable home and various other things (I have the last interview the day after tomorrow).

Reason 2) Ok, I admit it, I started to play dark souls 3 and I'm fucking good at it; I only died hudreds of times, I still didn't go over the thousand deaths and I'm after the dragon's armor boss.

Ah, I'm trying to figure how this new site works, hopefully nothing goes wrong... from how everything is wrote here I'm sure everything will be a mess, there isn't even the preview.

Before going back, I decided to resolve the most immediate problem for the children: shelter.

These huts can't even be used as the wood is full of splinters, I think every night they sleep outside in the open, but even with that here there is only hard soil and rocks; not the best thing to sleep on.

I summoned various materials from my dimension... the face that Azreal made was priceless, sure as Hell he didn't expect something like this when he made the oath; I can see him wanting to ask me how I did it, not that I would answer him.

Whitout pause, I started to use the materials to make a house, but because I needed to decide how to build it, I spent some time on it.

In the end it came out as a dormitory, I couldn't give each child a room with how many of them there are and I'm sure they will appreciate not being alone in a place they don't know with no one they knew.

I was gong to go back when I tought of something: how could they talk in the future between them? And if something like this is easily given to them, would they still worship the angels? Azrael's words weren't without foundations; children tend to forget who cares for them and take everything for granted.

I decided to resolve both problems at once: I decided to teach them how to write in english.

I created a separate building similar to a library and filled it with books on how to write in the new language (from books with images to a complete dictionary and everything in between them), this way everyone will study the same language and will be able to communicate.

I also created many small blackboards and chalks for them to always keep with them.

Then I created barriers on the doors and a device to dispel them for a brief time: they would have to write a small prayer to thank the angels for the shelter and protection offered to them.

For a moment I was conflicted if I should really make the children pray to the angels and not to the Goddess, but after giving it some thoughts I realized that if the Goddess didn't didn't discover the angels, it means she never took in consideration the children here.

At least, even if only for the faith, the angels managed to strike a deal with the God and protect the children that would otherwise still be suffering in all the cities... I don't even want to think about what they had to bear before the angels came, so it shouldn't be a problem to give them some benefits.

In total, I spent a week in order to upgrade the shelter and the facilities for the children, then I also created a building which resembles a tavern where everyone can eat together and at last I also upgraded the barrak of the angels with everything they asked to me... I also found out that they really cry golden tears.

For a second I was tempted to collect them to see if the tears have some alchemic properties.

Once I finished rebuilding everything, the only problem remaining is the soil... I tried to plant some of my world seeds, but they died in a matter of hours. Azrael was surprised as all the seeds they brought died within minutes.

In order to resolve the problem, I could tamper with the soil somehow with my nature control skill, but I would need a lot of time to discover the cause and find a solution... these are the times when one should use his connections.

After taking Azrael with me, I summoned the temple of the Goddess; I wanted to see his jaw touching the ground, but when I looked back I could only see a man (angel) whose convinctions where shattered too many times in a short period of time, he had a defeated look.

Now that I think about it, last time didn't he say that he wouldn't be surprised by what I would do anymore?

Whatever, I started to climb the stairs followed by the angel who didn't understand what we were doing; once inside I was going to pray when the central statue face dived in my bosom.

-MOU, why did you give those difficult games to my brother? I can't win in them, as a punishment now you'll have to play with me for a week straight-.

Ok, I didn't expect him to show them to her this fast, what about the way to cheat I gave him? I couldn't refrain to ask: -What about the other games? Didn't your brother get better t them?-.

The loli Goddess looked at me and tilted her head confused... I can't do anything else but pat her head, which she liked and cheerfully answered: -how do you know, did he play with you too? He got reeeaaaaally good at most video games, but after one or two fights I could beat him without problems-.

This... this... I can't believe it, is she [ ]? (Those that get it, comment it for those who didn't get it).

Hopefully, the God will not think I'm responsible for his inability to win even whit cheats, now shall I teach a thing or two to this Goddess? I can count it as a revenge for what the God did to me and also obtain a favour from the Goddess in order to reform the soil here so that it could grow vegetables again.

I know they will not have any meat, but as undeads apart from the hunger, they don't need all the different nutrients for their body, I also plan to leave them only things that don't need excessive attention to be harvested, so I will mainly plant fruit trees and potatoes.

-All right, I will teach you how to beat your brother, but you'll have to help me in reforming the soil around here in order to make it possible to grow trees forever, is that ok?-

-No problem, I shall bestow my help to you-

-Let's begin, we also have the help of Azrael who will tell us the strategies that are currently used in this world, right Azrael?- Huh?, why is he not answering? I turned to him only to see an uncounscious angel that somehow managed to not fall on the floor... admirable; should I wake him up?
