《The undead who yearned for life》50-Dragonic trait
Advertisement
I would like to specify some things before this chapter:
1) though I wrote that the dragon that comes out of the circle in Hell is black, then I wrote that the dragon the sisters fought was red.
It was my error.
I could resolve it by saying that in this world when dragons die they become black, but someone told me to simply change the color of the dragon that appeared in Hell, so I did that.
2) Many people believe Jack will have heightened sexual desires, but that couldn't happen, as the skill Defier of fate protects him. Because of that, I added under the vampiric trait that the heightened sexual desire status is eliminated.
Ah, the complete vampiric trait is in chapter 37 at the end of the chapter, under the skills.
3)I'm not going with the harem route.... or at least not with the sister (Julie) in the harem route; there will be a harem? I don't know, maybe I'll make a pool and let you decide.
Also, because all of you hurried me to jack, I forgot to write their talk about their feeling with Jack, here is a spoiler from the next side story:
Spoiler : Practically the little sister never loved her brother as a man, but because he was there, then she automatically compared all the potential boyfriends with her brother... and they all lost miserably, so she's now waiting for someone at the level of her brother to take her heath
Now that this is out of the way, enjoy the chapter.
--------------------------------------Jack POV------------------------------------------------
In the moment I left the starting point, I could feel magic fluctuations in the air. As I looked up, I could feel a nostalgic sensation while a gigantic magic circle appeared, and an enormous red dragon came out of it... but why is it falling on me? Is it possible to be this much unlucky? Didn't my luck rise to one hundred?
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH *CRASHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
I instantly employed the charge+ and ki reinforcement skills to avoid the falling dragon as he crashed in the ground... could it be that this dragon is dead? Is this how the God of the Underworld adds people to Hell?

Then why I could feel longing while looking at that magic circle? How mysterious, but this body falling here right at this moment is a blessing, I really needed a strong base for all the changes I plan to implement in this body.
Now I only need to hurry and store away this body, I'm sure that the God wouldn't miss a single dragon body since many dragons should have committed great sins, thereby falling in Hell.
Manipulating the earth, I covered the entire body in a wall, this way the many undeads present will not touch the body... I tremble at the thought of them eating dragon meat, fortunately I'm here.
As the last wing disappeared behind the wall, I engraved the usual word and the body is sent to my world with the last bit of my mana... good thing I continuously gained intelligence and wisdom, or today I would have lost this gift from the sky.
Without losing anymore time, I entered in my world, where the dragon body quickly revealed itself... I will keep this body for a long time, it's a treasure of crafting material to which even my world can't compare.
Now... what should I eat to obtain the most benefits? In legends, the power of a dragon originates from his heart, I don't know if the legends are true but I lose nothing in following them; I should also bathe myself in the arteriosus blood of the dragon, fortunately here there aren't any leaves.
Thanks to the endless amount of mana, taking out the heart of the dragon was simplicity itself, I also used the time to study his body and carefully dismantle the dragon in materials ready for crafting.
Before anything else, I transplanted some of the marrow of the dragon inside myself, with this when I'll finally regain flowing blood, I'll have two bloodlines: the one of the ancestor and the one of the dragon; hopefully this will also cause another power up once I regain a body.
After everything was in order I bringed the heart in the patch of land where time flows and I started to use the skill rot at full power while also using the eater skill to completely change my muscles, nerves and everything else with the meat I was eating.

I never let my falling body parts infect the heart of the dragon, while the blood still present inside the heart flowed inside me through my many wounds, I could feel even my bones grow more sturdy.
It took me five days to finish eating the heart and replace my old body with a dragon based one; though I didn't gain new appendices (like wings, tail, slit eyes, exc.), my body is now so bulky that resembles a certain green superhero that got exposed to gamma rays. (For those that don't get it, I mean Hulk).
Because of you action, you underwent a forced evolution. You're now a Draconic twilight zombie.
Because of your evolution, you gained the .
Because of your evolution, your physical stats rose.
Because of your evolution, your mental stats rose.
Because of your evolution, your resistance against light is back to -49%.
Because of your evolution, all of your magic proficiencies for which you have the affinity will rise by 5%
Wow, this time I didn't even felt pain, I only need to check my gains and put some points in agility in order to get rid of all this muscle mass: "show status and draconic trait".

Draconic trait (half-sealed): as a part of the dragon tribe, people around you will feel either fear or awe, this unless you decide to hide your aura.
You will have heightened mana regeneration.
As a member of the ancient race, magic is something natural to you and with relatively little effort you can master it.
You will grow more powerful as you age.
Your blood will either adapt and strengthen every weakness in your body or eliminate them.
As a member of the ancient race, pride and arrogance are deeply ingrained into you
Thanks to the skill Defier of fate, the draconic trait can't influence you.
I think that the half-sealed state of the traits will unlock once I regain a living body, before of that I think it's impossible... for now let's even the vitality, strength and agility stats, otherwise it will be too difficult to use weapons, there is also the fact that my charm will probably go up once I become slim again.
All in all, after evening my physical stats at 2170 each, I could be considered handsome and my charm skyrocketed at 183; I can also wield weapons without problems.
With the remaining 141 points, I increased wisdom and intelligence, this way I'll be able to keep fighting with skill for a longer amount of time; thinking about intelligence and wisdom, how did they rise? Is it because I ate a magical creature?
Talking about eating... you know, because I'm a zombie and all of that, can I rise my mental stats by eating brains? Should I try? Ugh, just thinking about it make me want to vomit, I'll try it as the last option, the dragon's brain is not going anywhere.
For now I should start building a forge and make some clothes, I hate being naked now that I regained many human parts.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And here you have it, Jack's return.
Now, for some questions: could someone tell me the difference between rise, rised, raised? I tried doing some research, but I couldn't understand anything.
Question 2, but more important: which clothes should Jack wear? I was thinking about some assassin's creed style clothes, but different ideas are welcome, I'll choose tomorrow.
Question 3, even more important than question 2: which weapons should he use? I was thinking about a halberd when he fights against armies, a large greatsword normally (for those who know it, zack's sword from ff7 crisis core or something similar), and the classic hidden blade (again assassin's creed) for assassination purposes (does jack really need to assassinate someone? can't he simply slaughter his way in and out?).

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
