《The undead who yearned for life》49-The day of the calamity, final (end side story)

-------------------------Julie POV--------------------------
Only three minutes were needed to complete the summoning magic, but will it succeeds? I already said to my sister that I couldn't always summon the monster I wished for, but she said that either we try to escape or we try with the summoning, both options have probability of success.
During those three minutes, were it not for the guards, my sister and my mother, we would have been shredded to pieces, of the two hundred guards, half of them died while protecting us, if we make it out of this situation, I'll ask mother and Eric to make a gravestone with their names, I also want to make sure that their families will be able to live on.
After three minutes, enough mana filled the magic circle and the symbols began to glow; the knowledge of this circle is something that came with my summoning healer class, because I'm different from normal summoners the monsters that I summon should be more inclined to help on their own will.
-I request the assistance of the queen of the skies, appear in front of me, ICE PHOENIX-.
In the sky, the same magic pattern of the circle appeared, and after all the symbols connected, the temperature around us dropped by a few grades; within seconds, a majestic bird with ice feathers came out and left us without breath (http://imgur.com/0ZWExKI).
"Who dares to summon me?".
The voice of the being echoed in my head without passing through my ears, like when I talk with Elise, but that single phrase caused me a serious headache: "Milady, it was me who summoned you, the other mages only gave me the necessary mana to operate the circle".
(note from the author: milady is an italian word for which I have not found a traduction; it is a way to show respect to a lady of great lineage. Nowadays is used to flatter girls while doing something cool that follows etiquette).
The eyes of the phoenix posed on me, and immediately a layer of frost was created underneath me.
"How is it possible for such a pure and kind soul to become a filthy summoner? Why did you choose that class girl?".

As she said that, the frost stopped from spreading on me, though I could still feel the cold: "I have chosen this class because I wanted to summon my brother that is out there somewhere, but why do you say my class is filthy?".
The frost melted in under two seconds, leaving me free to move again: "child, you can't summon a being from the intelligent races recognized by the system, and your class is filthy because summoner use monster as meat-shields while they gain levels without doing anything".
I tilted my head, I never thought of summoner monster like that: "really? It's true that I summon monsters, but I don't call them just to see them die; what's the point of summoning a wolf to kill a lion? I also heal them while they battle and we both gain experience, so it's a good thing for the both us, some of them even asked me to be marked".
I could see an elated expression appear on the phoenix face: "and because of that I'm not going to kill you, I think I also understand why you summoned me, the big filthy ancient dragon behind you is waiting to see my reaction before deciding who to attack".
As I looked behind me I could see the red dragon in midair looking at us; with each flap of his wings a lot of buildings shook, some of them are collapsing as we speak... how many people are dying each second?
"Will you help us, we are powerless against that monster, even my father could only delay it for a small amount of time, fortunately I was able to summon you".
The phoenix carefully scanned the red dragon, then said: "Yes, I will help you; normally I would not be his opponent, but he's gravely injured and... one of the vocations of us phoenixes is to eliminate dragons".
I could swear that the phoenix showed a feral grin for a moment, but it disappeared in less than a second, then the phoenix created many ice spikes in midair while pointed at me... did she change idea? Am I going to die?
The ice spikes accelerated towards me, but not even one of them hit me, they all converged against the weak points of the dragon, but he evaded them by flying higher in the skies.

The phoenix gave chase while sending me a last thought: "don't worry about my desummoning, I can easily teleport back to my home, thanks for this possibility, with this I'll be able to undergo a variant evolution".
As she said that, the battle between a king and a queen of the skies began at an altitude no other living beings could handle; from the ground we could only see the streaks of red and blue light chasing and clashing with each other .
The spectacle of lights in the sky lasted for several minutes, which I used to replenish my mana completely; having two people regenerate mana is a lot more efficient than doing it alone.
Eventually, the red light slowed down more and more, blood and ice feathers could be seen falling from the sky, then the blue light was able to pierce through the red light in a bright flash that blinded me for several seconds.
"Sorry child, I used most of my strength to kill the ancient dragon, and the last blow exhausted me, I can only teleport back to my home".
Why is she feeling sorry? She killed the dragon, so we should be safe now... or so I thought until I could see the body of the red dragon falling from the sky; how many people will die simply because of its weight?
"ne, sister, I'm going to do something even more dangerous than summoning a phoenix, sorry".
As I said that, I used the desummoning skill on the dragon body, the feeling of mana rapidly being used caused me to waver, but I persisted; after all my mana was exhausted, I could feel the mana of my sister flowing into me and then into the skill.
After even my sister's mana finished, my health becan to decrease, but before hitting the zero, my sister's health began to replenish mine, but even that was canalized in the skill... will I kill the both of us? My sister's health was going to hit zero when a magic circle appeared in the sky.
The dragon fell right in the middle of it disappearing; the darkness took me, while I could only think: big brother.....
-----------------------Eric POV---------------------
In front of me, my father is laying in the middle of the palace debris; when the sisters fainted after casting the last spell I ordered some guards to bring them back to their wing, fortunately the doctor could immediately determine that they're in a coma from over exerting themselves with the last spell, they should wake up in due time.
-Prince, the king suffered heavy injuries, he's now in a coma but it's very unlikely that he will survive-.
This is a problem, I still don't know who survived this calamity, if one of my siblings survived, then he will inherit the throne, but what can I do? I can already see the end of our empire.
At this moment, my father opened his eyes: -Eric, be sure to take the crown, the crown is hidden in a room behind the library in my sleeping room; 2nd book 4th row. It mustn't... fall in the hands...... of your siblings....-.
As his voice diminished, father went again into a coma; what is so important about the crown? I must take it: -Find a doctor and hide my royal father, not one word must escape from your lips about this, or my siblings will try to murder the king, understood?-.
Fortunately, every soldier present here is either loyal to me or to my father, now I only need to hide the sister's strength to my other siblings... what am I going to say to them?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With this, we're going back to Jack. [th_100_.gif] [th_101_.gif]
Poor human kingdom, what will happen to it until our Jack arrives? What about the sisters?
All of this, in the next side arc [th_102_.gif]
Ah, if some of you could write a complete review of my novel I would be happy, that way I'd know if I have to change something or go on like this.

Asturian Warbringer - A LitRPG on Earth
Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story. If you want something faster paced, filled with almost immediate and nonstopping action, check out my other novel: Modern Awakening - A cultivation, LitRPG, apocalyptic novel.
