《Re:Serpent, the Struggles of a 'Snake' to Survive and Evolve...》Chapter 9: Introductions, and Skill Revelation

One hour…..the genderless child hugged me for ONE HOUR………..My health is even in the orange…which is bad. I am now lying on the cold hard ground…twitching from the pain. …Her hug is almost as painful as the time when I ate the mana and Qi…ugh, it pains me just from remembering it…
Looking up, I see the child gazing down on me…grinning in joy…probably from my ‘cuteness’, ugh. The other humans…now that I got a good look at them…are looking at me with pity, which is annoying. The other human children here are poking me with their fingers, out of amusement… I drearily got back up, feeling sore all over, then mom cast some kind of spell on me. Her spell feels like healing magic, as my health is gradually rising back up into the green. She then pat on my head, and said that I did well to survive the Ancestor’s strength.
Sometime later, when I fully recovered, the child introduced herself.
“Hello, foreign soul. Apologies for my…sudden outburst. You’re the most adorable Imoogi I have ever seen! *Place his/her hands on his/her cheeks while blushing*” – Great Ancestor
I narrowed my two eyes at the child’s remark. I opened my third eye again and narrowed it as well to add more power to my glaring pressure, implicitly conveying my current feelings to the ‘Great Ancestor’.
“Ohhhh…you have three eyes…there are Imoogis and dragons with one eye, though they are rare, but I never heard of an Imoogi with three! Now let me introduce myself! My name is Mazupo, and I am the Dragon Queen of the Yang Yue Tian Clan! *giggling like normal cute child, despite her…age*. What’s your…ah, not the name your current parents gave you, I mean your previous name, if you please.” – Mazupo

Staring at what I am witnessing…I was trying my best to process…her existence. She is called the ‘Great Ancestor’, and yet she bears the attitude and form of a child, a human child…does not act her age-!
“GHuhh *Punched in the snake stomach*!!!”
“You are thinking something rude, little one. Never touch on a woman’s age, NEVER.” – Mazupo
‘Uggggghhhhh, how did she…?’
Dad then enlightened me on the subject.
“Be careful, she's very sensitive about her age, and yet despite not having the skill to read thoughts or other similar skills, she has the uncanny intuition of detecting anyone secretly judging her age. Believe me, I know. *Smirk*” - Heiyang
‘….This one…so he planned this……he knew what was going to happen when I meet the ‘Elder’…and he didn’t tell me, just for fun….’
“Oh don’t give me that look. There is nothing I can do about it, and neither can you, but you are right on the part of the Elder’s age sensitivity. Heh heh heh” – Heiyang
“Hmph! You call me your elder still, despite you being OLDER, WAY older than me, you devil!” – Mazupo
“Oh don’t be like that, little girl. Yixing, introduce yourself then.” – Heiyang
Ughhh….groaning from pain, I shook the damage out of me, and continued the introduction.
“Very well, little girl. My name is Yixing, as stated in my status window. But my previous name is…Heibai, a human who faced an uncanny death, by the whims of fate. How I got here is nothing short of a damn miracle if you ask me, as I am clueless on the matter.”
The Elder looked at me eye-to-eye, seeing if I was telling the truth. Then she blinked and responded.
“Hmmm…so you were in the body by chance…how amusing…Very well, we can do nothing about it now. Welcome to Mundus then, the largest world encountered by the gods and still holding the title to this day, and home to many unique beings! Welcome to the Clan, foreign one. And…oh before we continue, do you mind showing me your status windows and skills? I am curious to see if your stats and skills are unique. There may be some clues on how you got here, Heibai. Or do you prefer Yixing?” – Mazupo

‘Oh yeah…I keep putting that off…I should check it out.’
“Yixing should do, since I am already here in this world and named. And sure, but I would like to request a little…privacy *Looks at the other humans*”
“Oh…you mean them? They are the nobles of our clan. Leaders of great power and ability, but sure. There is nothing you can do to harm us anyway, Teehee!” – Mazupo
She waved her hand at them to signal them to turn away for my request. They complied without hesitation, though some of them were curious I can tell.
……I feel a little insulted…and angry from her words. No matter. I looked at father, silently asking him if I can trust the Elder with my eyes. Father noticing my silent message, nodded in response, a straightforward response, without any hidden intentions this time.
I opened up my status screen and mentally clicked on the skill menu and showed them:

*Author Here: I know some parts of my story lacks some originality, and for some goddamn reason I cannot make the names for the right gods...as I am not sure how they will fit. Coming up with new gods on the fly is not easy and hard...Anyway, let me know what you think of my story so far, and how I can improve! :D

Redshirt: The Journey
Freedom and Order. Peace and War. Love and Hate. Hundreds of young children awaken in a damaged world, on the brink of societal collapse, witnessing the birth of an omnipotent system. Their roles are pre-determined, yet the very fabric of reality lie in their hands. The order of the world shapes them, just how they are free to shape the world in their disparate visions. Each choice, each action, each word, has consequences that reach far beyond their perception. Freedom or Order; ashes in the wind, or the gilded chains. Updates at least every Monday, Thursday, and every other Sarturday, (from 26/11/2021). This is primarily a story exploring what it means to be human, using a lens of a hopefully real-feeling fantasy world. This story is not a power fantasy or a traditional Litrpg , while it has elements of these genres, it will focus on how these tropes would influence real people and possibly Redshirt will break some of these tropes along the way. There will be a variety of different characters and perspectives, some you hate, some you love, and some that will frustrate. Just as all people do. I don't believe there will be anything overly traumatic or explicit, but it's better to be safe than sorry. There will be some heavy topics explored, the characters views do not reflect the authors; however, if there is an issue in how I present/understand these issues please do tell me, and I will try my best to rectify it.
