《The Strongest Slime》Chapter 3: Days 2-39 All Hail The Glorious Honey!

Day 2
Breakfast is the most important meal of the morning, or is that brunch? Anyways, I woke up to discover that I can still experience stomach grumbles even as a Slime with no stomach. In order to appease my hunger I crawled out of my tree and wondered through the area in search for something tasty.
After a few moments of searching I quickly found another Mantis but that was clearly not an option for breakfast. Why you ask, well that is obviously because I had Mantis for dinner. Let me explain, my Hyperion Constitution had affected every part of my previous body including my tongue. I could taste the difference if so much as a grain of sugar was dropped into an Olympic sized pool.
Seeing as I was a refined noble I also had to pick up hobbies that matched my high standing, and that is how I become a culinary connoisseur. Thus as an expert in the field of flavors it would be a disgrace to have the same thing two meals in a row!
I began searching again and after a few hours I finally found it, something that stirred the refined hunger of my soul. It was a large pentagonal beehive hanging off the branch of an even larger tree, the beehive glowed a dark red as though it was coated with amber syrup. This, this is what I need.
The beehive was at least ten feet off the ground well beyond my reach, but that did not matter because I would not stop until it was mine. I concentrated as hard as I could and tried to will the existence of some new limbs. As I closed my figurative eyes and my sight went black I increased my concentration.
Large biceps bulging with veins, long muscular forearms, firm yet dexterous fingers, I created an image of every aspect of the perfect pair of arms. *sigh* ‘finished’ I opened my eyes to see my newly created masterpieces but all I could see were two tiny green nubs “BLUUUUUB!”(NOOOOO!)
Day 9
It has been a week since I first created my new tentacles, and I have dedicated every moment to training them. I was now capable of picking the berries that were previously out of reach along with some other fruits that grew nearby. But it isn't enough; I have yet to make that delicious honey mine.
There wasn't a day that passed by without me visiting the beehive. I would stretch my tentacles out for hours only to come a few inches short of my goal. It was driving me mad, to have something so irresistibly delicious so close and yet be just out of reach.
But no longer, today is the day I shall be the one to emerge as the victor. I waved a tentacle in the air as I yelled “Blub blub blub blub!” (never shall I be mocked again by your delicious sweetness!). I made my way to Beehive with confidence and I looked up “Blub blub blub”(today will be your last).

I began stretching my tentacles towards the hive. It was incredibly tough to keep my tentacles from going out of control; it was like manipulating two flagpoles made out of noodles. After three ridiculously long hours I could feel it, I would finally claim that alluring elixir of sweetness. Both of my tentacles made contact with the beehive but before I could pluck it from the tree a small shadow flew by and disintegrated a portion of my tentacle.
That's when I saw it, a large bee the size of an apple. Its shell was dark red laced with black lines crisscrossing all over, and its eyes were sharply focused on me. Those eyes were the kind of eyes that have stared at me numerous times in my past life, those eyes were filled with a fierce determination.
Those eyes told me that before me stood an opponent who was not afraid to cast his life aside in order to achieve his goals. I broke eye contact with the bee after realizing that I could hear buzzing all around me. I quickly found out that the bee was not alone as thousands of bees encircled me, all of them with the same blood chilling eyes of the first.
A single slime surrounded by thousands of mutated killer bees, under these absurd conditions I couldn't help but laugh. why hadn't I thought of it before?
what do you need to create a beehive? I was so enticed by the seductive promise of sweet honey that I had failed to take into account the existence of its creators.
I hurriedly retracted my tentacles but I was simply not fast enough. By the time my tentacles began to descend dozens of the deadly Bees began aiming their stingers at them. Portion after portions of my tentacles began to disintegrate as the bees landed their blows, but the bees did not come out unscathed.
Right after stinging the Color of the bees would become dull and they would simply collapse. After completely destroying both of my tentacles the bees began to target my main body. The amount of bees were so numerous it was as though I was being covered in a blanket of darkness, the sheer number of the bees alone was enough to prevent any sunlight from reaching me.
The pain of each sting was enough to make my mind go blank only to be awakened by the pain the next sting. I imagined that death would quickly come to relieve me of this excruciating pain but to my horror I found that my suffering would be a prolonged one.
Although each bee did a considerable amount of damage, as soon as they stung me they would die and fall into the liquid of my slime body. They would then dissolve and heal over 90% of the damage they inflicted. The thought that these bugs would try to kill me with such a half assed attempt pissed me off.
"BLUUUUUUUB!"(ARGGHHH!) with new found rage fueling me I began moving forward. My pace was so slow that I'm not even sure if it qualified as crawling and I didn't have the slightest clue of where I was going, all I knew was that I would put up a fight and screw over as many bees as I could in the process.

After what seemed to be a millennia of mind numbing, soul shattering pain something new finally happened. I felt the world disappear from beneath me and I felt my body become weightless as the pain that once inhabited every fiber of my being was washed away by a cool soothing sensation.
The flow of the river carried me for over an hour until I could now see my home tree. As I pulled myself out of the water the only thing i felt was anger, not at the bees but at myself. Why would I be angry at the bees? They were simply doing their job and protecting their homes. I was angry at myself for putting on such a poor performance against the bees. That night as I stared up at the majestic form of the moon and basked in its glorious light I swore to make that honey mine.
Day 39
I stared at the charging Horned Rabbit as it got closer and closer as escaping was impossible with a tree right behind me. My entire life flashed before my eyes but just as I was about to reminisce about the past I was pulled back into reality as the Rabbit's horn finally reached its target.
As the Horn dug deeper and deeper into me the bitterness of regret began to accompany the flavor of death. To have wasted a second chance at life, there were so many things I had yet to do, so many things left to experience. But my biggest regret was undoubtedly the Beehive.
I remembered our first encounter, me with my timid and shy self keeping a safe distance while you glowed confidently with your sexy sweetness always tempting me. I remembered the complexity of our relationship as it appeared that our love was never meant to be. The endless days I spent chasing after you and the effort it had taken. And even when we come so close to becoming one with one another your parents had shown up and brutally attacked me forcing me into the river.
I could feel death's cold embrace but even at the moment of demise your beauty is enough to bring me joy. I reached out in front of me with a tentacle as I called her name one last time "Blub blub"(Beehive) then my body went limp as my vision darkened.
Hahaha just kidding. This is a new hunting method I developed specifically for Horned Rabbits. I lure a Horned Rabbit into charging at me while I stand in front of a tree, and then at the last moment I open up a hole in my center just like a donut. I began to digest the Rabbit while its horn was stuck in the tree. The Rabbit digested completely leaving behind nothing except for its horn, I didn't hunt this rabbit solely for the sake of food.
It has been a month now since my miserable defeat at the beehive took place. I have dedicated every moment of every day to preparing for a single moment, my rematch with the bees. After my unpleasant experience with the bees one of the first things I realized was how poorly equipped for survival Slimes were.
There were Rabbits with horns, poisonous snakes and even giant spiders. But Slimes had nothing! We are soft, squishy and lack any sort of defense mechanism! For any other person being reincarnated into a dog eat dog world such as this with the body of slime would mean certain death.
Thankfully I am an unparalleled genius and thus was capable of developing various methods to overcome these weaknesses. After my successful hunt I returned to my home tree. I had dug out the dirt beneath the tree so it was now a lot more spacious.
On one side was a wall full of the Horns of Horned Rabbits hanging on the roots of the tree. I was collecting these horns in order to use them as weapons. For defense I had collected the shell plates from a creature called Armored Tanuki, its shell was very hard and metallic perfect for what I wanted to use it for.
I had also learned to control the properties of my body. I could control the stickiness and acidity of my slime. Staring at my large underground armory I couldn't help but shed tears of joy*sniffles*. To think that I was reborn into this world as a Tiny Slime, and now only a month and some odd days later I have an awesome lair. But I’m not done yet, there’s still one thing left to do. I geared up covering myself with the Armored Tanuki shells while hiding the Rabbit horns inside my body. I slowly crawled to the beehive full of anticipation for the upcoming battle.
