《Path of Damnation》Day 36: Kaisers Day on the Road

My forces marched through the burned path that had been laid out thanks to that blasted orc.
We marched through the road that had been built out of fire and despair.
The road we had carved that had split the forest of the elves in two. The bloody road that had allowed my Horde, to invade Elven kind under the bidding of the Legion.
Even though we had created a terrible scar upon the lands of Thecillia, at least we did not have to spill any blood.
As much as I hated the road, it was a good one as it allowed me to move my forces back towards the Fortress quite smoothly.
Even though the road shortened the journey by quite a lot, we still had a long time before I could reach my master if my horde continued at this pace.
Even the current pace I was going at made my horde unhappy, seeing as how they were trudging behind me with looks of annoyance plastered upon their faces.
The speed we were moving at wasn't the main reason for my hordes unhappiness. The main reason was that we had been marching for days and instead of bloodshed, war and glory, all they had gotten was happiness and peace.
That was not what my horde had in mind when we set out to conquer the elves.
No conquering force ended their war with a few words and flattery. Well, not usually anyway.
I found them quite foolish to be displeased with my actions. I'll make them come to accept my view in time.
It didn't matter if they accepted or not, because they'd find out that if they didn't, bloodshed isn't as fun when it is applied to you.
Ignoring my hordes wildly exaggerated huffing and puffing, I forced them all to once again, increase our marching speed.

Turning around, I looked over my hordes soldiers and saw that a lot of them wanted to complain.
I was honestly bored, so I would be quite happy if one did, but none of them had the gall to do so, so I'd have to pick one of them myself.
Seeing that I had turned around, all of my soldiers had immediately brought out their stern and stoic faces.
I turned to the orc who had the most displeased face amongst all the orcs near me just a moment ago.
Seeing that I had locked my eyes onto someone aside from themselves, all the orcs except the one I was looking at, had relieved expressions on their faces.
Kaiser: “You” I growled out slowly towards the orc who was now shivering in fear “I see you are displeased” I smiled at him, and all he managed to reply with was 'Mhmm' with a shake of his head “Come on now” I cooed towards him “Tell me what you are displeased about?” I commanded him, daring him to complain out loud.
All the members of my horde who were surrounding the orc I had locked onto had already begun to slowly distance themselves from him.
It seems like no one wanted to aid their comrade.
All the orcs and beastmen who had been accompanying, gossiping and complaining with him just a mere moment ago abandoned him in his time of need.
He looked left and right for support but seeing he was alone, he began to shake outright.
Kaiser: “Well?” I asked him acting as if I was angry “TELL ME” I roared to which he screamed like a little girl in fear.
Orc 77: “I…” he paused stuttering as he attempted to think of something to say “I.. I… I-I-I” he couldn’t get the words out “I-I-I-I… Ah… Uh.. Ah.. I-I.. I” I really didn’t want to do this, but I had to discipline this horde of mine that was seriously getting annoying lately.

They had been huffing and complaining for days now and that was no way a horde should act.
Kaiser: “Oh, so that is how it is huh” I acted angry “Talk and gossip all you want, but when I ask you a question, I get the silent treatment? IS THAT HOW IT IS?” my roared echoed across the forest causing many of my horde members who were close to me to flinch.
I moved my eyes across the people around me and they all turned away when I stared at them.
Orc 77: “IM SORRY! I REALLY WAS NOT COMPLAINING” he yelled out to my surprise “SEE, LOOK AT MY FACE, A GIANT SMILE” and with that he had the most hideous smile I had ever seen.
I guess that is why orcs don’t usually smile.
Kaiser: “That’s what I thought, now you come next to me and walk by my side from now on” and with that I brought the terrified orc to come and walk by my side.
But my discipline had worked and I now had my horde moving at triple the speed without a single sound coming out of it.
A fast, silent and deadly horde.
What else could I ask for?
Leaving my horde alone.
I wonder what my master was doing.
He should have begun or nearly finished his preparations to begin his march.
Hopefully it’s the former as that would mean I could catch up and we can march together.
How I miss my master.
It’s been too long since we have separated.
I wonder what he made Ghum’bil do.
That blasted orc had decimated the Lion tribe, a powerful tribe that could have aided us immensely.
Nonetheless, I’m sure master has punished him properly.
Smiling, I marched with my horde in a very happy mood.

Ak here,
Sorry for the late chapter.
This one is quite short, (1000ish words), so I'll put another one as well. That way I make up for not putting the chapter I promised to put up 2 something days ago.
