《Path of Damnation》Summary + Chapter 31

SUMMARY OF RECENT EVENTS AND WHAT IS TO COME
The Dark God has gradually increased the might of the legion as the lands of Thecillia gradually spiral into chaos.
All the nations and races are caught up in the turmoil brought upon by both the Legion and their own acts.
The Dwarves fight the Mount Doom Orcs for control of the Great Mountain and its surrounding territory.
Two opposing sides of almost equal strength, left alone by the rest of Thecillia as they focus on their war.
The Orcish Clans seem to be preparing, but what for no one knows so far.
Kaiser marches his horde to bring the Elves under Legion heel so that the flank of the Legion is not left open to attack when Humanity is to be besieged.
Ghum'bil will follow the command of his master, the Dark God, and will move to prepare Humanity for the coming invasion of his master.
The Human nations will either rise to new glorious height by uniting, or they will become the stepping stone to a united Thecillia, under the control of a race far different to them.
The Hidden Gods begin to stir as they make their moves as Thecillia begins its open warfare.
Heroes and Demons will rise, but to what avail before the might of the Legion.

Chapter 31
I sat upon my metal throne, my chin resting upon my right hand while my left arm tapped against my thrones armrest in rhythm.
I thought about the coming conflicts as my brow creased in unneeded worry.
I sighed as I thought about my dear Kaiser, who had left days ago on his mission against Elven Kind, but I was still worried about him deeply since he was an innately kind person.
Unlike Ghum'bil, who I knew would have massacred and done a whole plethora of despicable acts to the Elves.
Nonetheless from Kaisers reports he would soon reach the first Elven Fortress and begin what I hoped was a peaceful resolution, for Kaisers sake at least.
He had carved a path of fire throughout the Elves beautiful forests so hopefully that would not impede on their decision to reach a peaceful conclusion.
It was quite ironic how we, the conquering force wanted an peaceful resolution.
Hypocritical is what it really was.
Well enough about Kaiser and his depressing task.
Lets think about Ghum'bil and the Yulian humans.
Well that wasn't really an uplifting change in topic considering what was to be done.
Ghum'bil would hopefully stick to what I wanted and not go around corrupting the humans of Yulia.
It would be tragic to discover that they had all abandoned humanity to become a force of darkness.

But knowing Ghum'bil it was still a realistic outcome.
Nonetheless Ghum'bil and the humans were not the only thing I had to worry about.
I had to worry about my Legion and the inevitable clash with the Kalmiran and Lithium humans.
It would be tragic because I knew they served that Goddess of 'Light' but I had no choice in this matter.
Conflict would continue till I conquered everyone.
At least after I was done spreading blood, death, sadness and war there would be no more.
Oh, that rhymed, how nice.
Well not really... but whatever.
But I mean I wasn't even the greater evil here, the humans under the goddess were.
They were the ones that enslaved and mistreated their fellow humans, the Yulians and they claimed to follow and uphold being followers of light.
That was bullshit to its core and they all knew it.
I was the lesser evil when you brought the Kalmiran and Lithium humans, the Yulian Humans, the Goddess of Light and the Legion into the picture.
Well lets hope we can get a quick surrender with little bloodshed, since I really do not like killing or going on mass murdering rampages.
But it was still tragic when you thought about it.
Kalmira and Lithium were suppressing and enslaving their fellow human nation for no reason whatsoever and their entire populaces accepted this fact.
They could do whatever they wished to the Yulians and they would get away scot free.
A terrible existence is what I would call that, but no longer as I had come to end all of that.
But the invasion would be brutal seeing as how humans mistreated every other race except the Dwarfs and Elves.
Orcs would surely love to revel in the blood of humans and my legion was primarily made of Orcs.
Well I'll try to limit how much blood shed happens but war is a very unpredictable business.
Sighing I thought about the report I received from the scouts I sent to monitor the dwarves.
I had received a report earlier today but I had forgotten about it.
I should probably read it.
Calling an attendant over I told him to go fetch the report which he did so immediately, returning mere moments later panting and sweating.
I thanked and dismissed the poor orc before opening the report and reading.
It seemed that an Orc Clan was besieging the Dwarf Mountains but that was a retarded idea.
They had a home in a mountain and the orcs thought they could pierce it.
Well they can do that for the next thousand years.
Oh, it seems they discovered a small passage way inside the mountains and are currently fighting a dead locked battle.

Quite interesting.
But for now it's not really important information.
I had more pressing matters to dwell on.

[Different Place, Different Person]
I stared at the fortress standing in front of me.
It was the first of the four elven fortresses which defended the Elven Mainland.
But it would not stand against me.
Nothing would stand against me.
I had to quickly take this fortress and move on.
The faster I reached the Elven Capital the quicker I could end this war and the more lives I could save.
For that reason I had my forces prepare and we surrounded the fortress.
Our forces were in position and my entire horde prepared itself to besiege the fortress at a moments notice.
They were wild and emanating blood lust to its extreme.
I could see the Elves which manned the walls looked terrified.
Of course they were terrified, the Elves had not been in a proper war for over a thousand years and all the Elves on the walls were young and naive.
I'll try to spare as many as possible.
I walked up to the fortresses main gate slowly, my horde banging their weapons against their shields, the ground or each others shields all while grunting in a primal manner in unison.
This was a technique I had taught them all.
It was to instil fear into our enemies and make them surrender as fast possible.
The grunting and banging continued while I walked towards the wall.
The Elves becoming more and more nervous, fidgeting in fear as the primal force standing before them.
They looked like they were about to release there bows from fear.
I glanced up at the only elf in golden armour and saw he was also trembling slightly.
They were all used to Orcish Raids by lesser orcs and the like and not a unified army like this.
It was a pathetic sight but it made me glad.
I could easily pacify these elves and limit the bloodshed.
The golden elf who I assumed was the leader looked down at me, his eyes clouded in fear.
He saw me walk closer and closer to the wall and he tried to keep his cool yet he could not hide his trembling body.
The closer I got the wall the louder the grunting and pounding weapons of my horde was.
It echoed over and dwarfed all other sounds.
It terrified the elves to their core.
One of the younger, less courageous elves fired his bow which shot the arrow at me.
I grinned.
This was just what I needed, a demonstration of my strength to further break their crumbling will to fight.
I tensed my body and waited for the arrow to hit me.
The arrow whirled in the air towards me and then it landed in my chest, but contrary to the Elves expectations, it did not draw blood at all. All it did was slam into my chest and shatter.
Like a piece of wood hitting metal it splintered apart and broke down.
The elves on the wall further paled and some even began to get teary at this sight.
Even elven males were arousal worthy now that I looked at their cute and trembling forms.
Maybe I awakened to something, I silently mused to myself.
Nonetheless I looked up at the golden armoured elf who was shaking silently while biting his lower lip.
It looked like he came to the conclusion that they would all die once the battle began but he didn't order a surrender.
Truly a brilliant man, loyal to his country till his last breath, but I couldn't have that now could I.
So I did the final thing I needed to break their already crumbling will and that was solidify my image as not only powerful, but monstrous.
So to do that, I pushed my body to its limit and jumped once I had neared the wall.
With only 3 metres between the wall and me, my jump brought me up high.
My legs and body were aching immensely but I couldn't show that to them.
So I looked like the jump was nothing.
That I could easily jump 10 metres like it was nothing.
Although I couldn't jump 10 metres I managed to reach 6 and a half and then I just pushed myself up once more and I landed on the battlements.
The wall shook slightly from my impact and the elves all but fell down and some even fainted.
I was standing right in front of the golden elf who looked like he could break down any minute and I brought myself to the elf and picked him up with one hand from his waist.
He didn't have the strength or power to resist so he could only watch helplessly.
He closed his eyes and awaited his fate and when he heard my words he was beyond shocked.
Kaiser: “Surrender and I guarantee not a single man or women within this fortress will be hurt” and with that he fainted.
