《Path of Damnation》Day 3: The Power of Words
Advertisement
Day 3:
The warm sunlight bathed me as I swayed between the realm of dreams and the awake world. I tried to dismiss the sunlight by using my hands to cover my eyes, but I didn’t I have to as just before I began to move my hands a large swath of shade covered me.
I breathed a sigh of relief before suddenly realizing that there was nothing that could become shade for me as the direction the sunlight came from had no obstructions to it.
Someone was standing in front of me. Or even worse, something was.
I realized I would have to open my eyes eventually and face this obstruction to sunlight, so instead of lolly gaggin I opened my eyes and shot up from my sleeping position, looking towards the obstruction.
I screamed in literal panic at the being standing in front me. In front of me stood an 3 metres gray skinned muscle bound orc. He was naked save for the remnants of some cloth which covered his nether regions (I should find some for myself as well). His facial expression was filled with this look of joy as he stared at me.
I screamed again as I realized that this was not some foreign being. This was my first subordinate.
This was Kaiser.
Kaiser simply stared at me as I went through my period of screaming in fear at the unknown to screaming in shock at the new.
I had finally stopped screaming when Kaiser looked at me and grinned.
Kaiser: “Master, please allow me to thank you for the gift of power. I am far stronger than any orc at my level should be and I know this is thanks to you”
With that Kaiser kneeled down in front of me. His gaze lingering on thedirt. I quickly regained my composure and ushered him up.
MC: “Rise Kaiser, do not kneel before me. And do not call me Master, call me...”
At that I stopped my gaze still lingering upon Kaiser’s huge frame which was still taller than me even though he was kneeling. I had named Kaiser, but I realized that I myself still did not possess a name. What could I possibly name myself? Kaiser appeared to have also realized my predicament.
Kaiser: “Mas-... Bos-....” Kaiser paused after saying this and pondered on what to call me. He appeared to have come to a decision “God. I have come to the conclusion that my god does not possess a name. Please correct me if I am wrong.”

I stared at Kaiser in disbelief. He had become too smart. Far too smart. He was probably smarter than me as well (By a lot). He should also be stronger than me. I realized that his evolution was because of me. I had somehow given him a unique evolution. [Stone Scholar] I think it was.
But Jesus Christ, according to Orc Culture, the strong rule the weak. Kaiser could kill me at any time he wants and I would be powerless to stop him.
MC: “Kaiser....” I fidgeted uncomfortably at what I was about to say next, but it had to be said “Kaiser, you and me both realize that you are far stronger than me. So please tell me why you have not made your position, as orc culture dictates, clear?”
Kaiser simply glanced at me and grinned, I paled slightly at this.
Kaiser: “My god, you not only did you save me, you gave me a purpose and then you gave me power. How could I repay the debt I owe you by killing you? So please do not mistrust this one, my god. I have given my body and soul to you. If you command me to die right now because you fear me. Then state your wish and I will comply” and with that he prostrated himself before me his head touching the ground.
I felt ashamed with myself. How could I say such a thing to a being so devoted to me? I placed my hands on his shoulder and pushed (he simply allowed me) him up. I then looked up at the towering gray orc.
MC: “Kaiser forgive me for not trusting your pure intentions. So that I may repay you for your devotion, would you become my brother and right hand and join my family?” as I said this, Kaiser’s eyes glistened and then tears poured from them. He looked at me and then moved into hug me. His huge frame squishing mine.
Kaiser: “For my god to have asked me to not only be his right hand, but to be his brother in his family. Words cannot describe my happiness. But please my god; never ask for forgiveness from anybody. You are too mighty to do so” he then removed himself from me and kneeled in front of me once again. “My god and saviour, I who was named Kaiser by you, pledge my life to you, as your brother and advisor. I shall become your blood” and with that Kaiser moved his overly large nail on his right hand and cut the palm of his left hand and dropped the blood onto the ground in front of me.

The moment Kaisers blood hit the ground, a pop up hit me in the face stating;
[Family Creation Available]
[Family Member available: Kaiser]
[Position: Blood Brother]
[Accept Family member]
I looked at the message and silently whispered ‘Accept’ which then slammed another message in my face.
[Complete Blood Contract]
And so I did without a hint of hesitation (actually hesitated for a few seconds) by grabbing Kaisers hand and dragging (he again let me) to mine and using his nail to cut my skin dropping my blood on top of his.
The moment my blood hit the ground, for the third time today my face was smacked with a pop up;
[Family member Accepted]
[Family Created]
[Ability Gained:]
[Familial Strength - MAX]
[Familial Loyalty - MAX]
[Family Sensor - MAX]
[Family Symbol Created]
I stared in shock at what just happened. Apparently Kaiser was also shocked because I could now somehow feel Kaiser and him I. I think that’s what Family sensor allowed. The ability for family members to sense each other.
While that happened, I saw a symbol appear on Kaiser’s right shoulder. It looked like a mountain with a dragon surrounding it.
Kaiser was also staring at me with dumb found eyes as. I followed his gaze and realised I had the same symbol glowing on my chest.
While I was trying to regain my composure, I was barraged by another set of pop ups;
[Clan Creation Available]
[Clan Member available: Kaiser]
[Position: Blood Lord Adviser]
[Accept Clan member]
I simply muttered ‘Yes’ in shock at what was happening. I couldn't keep up. And apparently neither could Kaiser as his skin began to gain symbols on it. His palms had giant red eyes on it and his eyes had red stripes cross them.
I gazed at Kaiser and then realized he had another tag on top of his head. No, not one tag. But two.
The first tag was like the tag [Clan Gargzha] but instead said [Clan ???].
The second tag which was situated underneath the clan tag was coloured light blue and stated [Family: ???].
We stood like that for who knows how long as neither I, nor Kaiser had anything to say. Well apparently he did as he broke the silence.
Kaiser: “My god, allow me to thank you for this blessing. I can feel the power course through me. I can also feel you. You do not understand how happy I am to be blessed by my god. A million of my lives wouldn't equal this gift my lord” and he then for the third time today kneeled.
I was still reeling from the shock. How the hell could mere words do this? What the hell else could words do in this world? I had to watch what I say from now on. Words are dangerous. I then realized Kaiser was kneeling in front of me, so I told him to rise which he did. I then gazed at him.
All of a sudden I felt tired. I head this terrible headache which pounded at my head relentlessly. I rubbed my head to try to alleviate the headache but that was to no avail. So I simply decided to rest.
MC: “Kaiser you have the rest of the day to do whatever you wish. I am tired from all that has happened so I will rest. Tomorrow we will discuss this more” and with that I closed my eyes and fell to the ground. I was too tired to deal with anything else today.
I was tired because of what had happened today. I had been awake for less than a hour and now I could not keep up and needed to rest. So I did rest. I allowed the dream realm to swallow me and give me the rest I deserved so I could deal with what else this world could throw at me.
As I was nearly gone from this world I realized I still hadn't found myself a name, nor a name for the clan or family but it was too late and I had been swallowed by the dream realm.

Ancient Mana Dungeon Core.
Yes the tags are necessary, they will make sense eventually too. Art is not mine, found it on pintrest btw the title on the thing apparently has no name, or at least no title that you can search, at least, but i found this: ‘ArtStation - [UE4] Lost Temple Ruins Jonas Axelsson’ (if your curious I was searching ancient temple game art when i found it don’t bother clicking the link on the thing that says facebook, it does not work) (i will not lie this is kinda my first publication so go easy on me). A while ago I fell in love with the Dungeon Core stories and decided: ‘Heck, why not make my own spin on things!’ and so i started brainstorming what to do and i kinda just found the idea for the story during it. This is the story of a guy named Michael Alex (not a typo that is the name I will be using for him) he was an avid fiction writer and reader who was just sitting on his couch playing a puzzle game on his phone called: Ruins of Drailmor Keep (a three in one deal: tower defence, Puzzle (mazes generally), and world building (namely building on the ashes of fallen empires and regulating certain things while the waves of enemies keeps coming back to burn it down and ruin it just like the curse would while ocasionally sending out your own monsters to get rare rescources)) when he gets an alert and well one thing leads to another and he died to a freak avalanche. He then comes into contact with the universe's will (basically something that *insert your prefered deity here* cooperated with to make the world (heaven, hell, the mortal world, yggdrasil, basically every "world" that has been made (in reality, mythology, games, books, cartoons/movies, and memes!) but also had a mind of its own at the same talk.) and Michael and the Universe’s Will talked and this story is about the outcome of said discussion.

They had no idea what kind of evil he held within him. On top of that he realised that a mere human was his only way to sanity. -- "I expected you to run human? Or hear you scream. Why aren't you running?" The smile got replaced with a frown. He looked disappointed. "Why aren't you screaming human?" His eyes turned black and he looked more terrifying than he did before."Y-you won't hurt me."The story is completely made up, the angels and the demons are not the same as in other religions. I have made up a whole different story about the Gods in this book. So be aware.
