Luffy: Whatcha doin Jax?
Me: I’m training
Luffy was watching me while he dug into a drumstick from an animal far bigger than a chicken.
The Thunder Cyclone style was incredibly refined. The technique incorporated the whole body and required incredible flexibility and agility. The technique’s principle was the faster one moves the more power accumulates. My body seemingly danced around the target dummy as I sliced the sides with a spinning motion the air currents moving with my body and accelerating it. My legs would occasionally spin and kick the top and my wooden knives would hit the stomach the style was hard to train but with my incredible growth speed the levelling was rapid.
Luffy: How can you move so fast and why is there sparks and burn marks where you hit?
me: it’s cause I’m imbueing the elemental energy into the attacks and guiding it through my body to inflict more damage.
Luffy: Hmmm so it’s mystery fighting mmhmm
Luffy pretended to understand, anything he doesn’t understand he labels mysterious something or other.
Luffy: Could you use it to cook meat?
I stumbled at that one and my rhythm was interrupted. I’m not sure why I expected any different from Luffy.
[Technique level 4]
It had taken about a week for the first level and an additional week for the next meaning this one took around a month. Although I could’ve shortened it but I was also precticing the aspect abilities. Me aspect of the demon and aspect of space abilities were coming along slow and just gathering the energy proved difficult. My aspect of lightning focused on speed and penetrative power. Each attack would have a slight paralysis effect and if trained enough I believe I could even create a lightning storm. My aspect of darkness was great for stealth, my body seemed to meld with the shadows and my hair and eyes turned black with black markings on my skin that moved. The aspect of wind allowed my movements to speed up and attacks were sharper i was excited as if I reach mastery of this I could even fly however for now even hovering would be impossible.

When all of them saw me training my aspect ability they thought I ate a devil fruit or something.
Sabo: Jax what the heck is that ability
Ace: some kind of devil fruit?
Luffy: Join my crew
me: I’m not completely certain myself I just sensed the energy and brought it into myself. It’s not a devil fruit though cause I can still swim.
I didn’t like it but I had to lie
Sabo: wow your so powerful. I wonder if your stronger than ace?
me: I doubt it Ace is a monster
I deadpanned
I wasn’t lieing physically Ace was incredible. All his abilities were in the 400s at least. Sabo would be high 300s even Luffy at that age was around 300 but low. Although my abilities were high hundred and growing quickly it is no wonder these guys became so world shaking.
Ace laughed goofily and scratched the back of his head. His aloofness faded and we’d all become incredibly close.
We then left to go to Makino’s bar. The others were always doting on me which I didn’t dislike. Luffy always acted mature at least in his mind and seemed full of pride being an older brother like figure. Ace was independent but would always be there he was the strongest but always kind to me. Sabo was like a middle child always breaking up arguments and the real mature one he was a mediator. He was always there for me and especially close to Ace. All the villagers knew us and greeted us as we walked to Makino’s.
Me: One large beer please ma’am.
Ace: Same
Sabo: me too
Luffy: sure
Makino: Sure..wait what are you rascals doin asking for beer
She was surprised to see us but it didn’t take her long to understand. She’d become rather accustomed to our shenanigans.

Makino: So what are you doing here boys
us: hopefully drinking
Makino: sure but only drinks with no alcohol haha
she was like a big sister to us all. I enjoyed our time there.
Makino: So I know you three want to be pirated when you grow up but what do you wanna do Jax. You never seem to say when the others compete for who will be the pirate king.
Me: I want to be free to act as I wish. I intend to use Grandad to become a Marine to change the world, I also want to have the power to stop anything happening to my brothers who I know are gonna cause trouble.
They all seemed taken aback but soon laughed. The others didn’t mind my dream as the new I didn’t like being told what to do. I was unrestrained. I would act only when I thought that I should, I wouldn’t hurt those close to me and I wouldn’t hold back on enemies. A few weeks later I found out the others started a betting poll for how long it would take for me to get kicked out. In fact they all invited me to join their crews when I got fired. Such trust my brothers had in me.
The night of the Sake drinking finally came and we recognised each other as brothers and drank. It was very heartwarming and I was filled with joy. That night we sung and danced and made merry.

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y
