《Beast God》Chapter 23- A Natural Reaction!

“Leave this planet? Why would I do that?” Ben asked.
“I can't answer that for you. I hope you find that answer yourself.” Tuk answered.
Ben went silent, he knew that there was a world beyond Earth to explore and it made him scared and excited.
“My time here is about over, do you have any other questions?” Tuk asked.
“Will raising my INT and WIS help me control my element?” Ben was curious, his INT and WIS were very low and Ben was unsure what to do about it.
“Raising it to 20 will help you slightly but after that it won't have much of an affect, you're a warrior not a mage.” Tuk explained patiently.
Ben nodded his head in understanding.
“Why haven’t we met many people?”
“Most of the population is dead. Those who have survived are at one of the twelve cities. There pockets of survivors outside the cities though they are very few. The point of the system is to only bring out the strong and the smart. The best of the best of a race.”
Ben expression grew serious. Mostly dead? “Are my parents alive?” a shiver could be heard in his voice.
“I don't know, I have only been watching you and a few others. If they are alive, they would be in a city. My advice is for you to travel to a city and take it over.” Tuk answered him.
“Take it over?” Ben gave a resolute nod before turning to Cloey who had been silent this whole time. “Do you have anything you want to ask him?”
“Ummm n-no.” she stuttered, looking a little flustered.
“Snow Elf let me remind you that if you speak of Ben and his abilities to anyone, you will have me to deal with. Understood?” Tuk’s voice turned cold and threatening. A formless pressure emanated from his body.
Cloey’s face went white and she started shivering, the pressure was too great for her.
“She’s harmless gramps. Don't worry.” Ben blocking the pressure being forced on her.

“Gramps?” his cold look slipped off his face and was replaced by a stunned one.
“Grandpa Tuk? Grandaddy Tuk?” Ben kept rattling off names.
‘Grandpa? This brat has no respect!’ Tuk cursed him in his head.
“I'll be going now.” Standing up, walked towards the door before disappearing completely.
“Why the hell did you even stand up if you could disappear like that!?” Ben yelled out loud, hoping Tuk could hear it.
Turning to Cloey, “Let's stay here for the night. Look in the bedrooms for clothes for you and me. I'll take the couch.” Ben collapsed on the couch in exhaustion. Fighting those zombies and cultivating his eye drained him mentally and physically.
…
Cloey stared at him sleeping on the couch and couldn't help but thinking, ‘What a strange man.’
She didn't understand why he trusted her so much. They have only knew each other for a few days but he still protected her against the zombies and defended her against Tuk. It didn't make sense.
‘Is it because of my beauty?’ She quickly trashed that idea. She had seen lots of men pretend to be brave but in the face of real danger they saved themselves. Even in the face of a god he didn't show any fear.
Cloey shook her head, pushing her thoughts away and started going through dressers and closets for clothes. Cloey found black leggings and a white t shirt for herself and a white summer dress. She found jeans and a black t shirt for Ben.
Seeing the sun set, Cloey crawled into a bed.
‘Maybe he isn't all that bad.’ falling asleep, Cloey had a slight smile on her face.
…
The sun shined through the window, illuminating Ben’s face. Squinting his eyes, Ben sat up and stretched, giving a big yawn in the process.
Cloey walked out from her room, wearing black leggings and a white t shirt. Her simple outfit accentuated her beauty even further.
Ben was mesmerized by her beauty once again. The leggings showed off her slim waist and her round butt magnificently. Her t shirt was tight in the chest area, showing an alluring outline.

Cloey saw Ben staring at her and slightly blushed, she then looked downwards and noticed something else.
“YOU PERVERTED PIG!” she screamed at him before going back into the room and slamming the door.
“What?” Ben was stupified. ‘Was my gaze that lecherous?’
Looking down Ben realized what had happened.
Good ol morning wood was alive and well and his loose boxers didn't help hide much.
‘Shit!’ Ben turned beet red is shame and embarrassment.
Putting his pants on and shoving it into his waist belt, he ran to Cloey’s room and knocked on the door.
“Cloey I woke up with it I swear. It’s a natural reaction, nothing to do with you! I promise!” Ben was desperate to explain himself.
The door flew open and Cloey was standing there with a scowl on her face.
“Are you saying I not pretty enough to cause that? You find me repulsive?” her voice was filled with anger.
Ben was speechless! He felt like crying, he officially knew what it felt like to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.
“Ah of course not… very attractive and all.” he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Pervert.” she spat out at him, walking past him and out of the house.
Though Ben knew he was already in trouble and yet he still couldn't help but sneak a glance at her bum.
‘Good lord, talk about peach emoji.’
Following Cloey outside, he found her petting Duke. When he walked up she shot him a glare before she continued to pet Duke’s head.
Letting out a loud sigh he shook his head in defeat.
“Hey buddy, is there anything for us to eat around here?” Ben was hungry and he knew Duke would have went hunting last night.
‘Yes Master, I’ll go get some right now.’ Duke took off in search for food.
‘Thanks buddy.’
Ben went back into the house to pack his bag. He noticed some folded clothes next to the couch. Putting them in his bag he went back outside to start a fire to cook whatever Duke brought them.
“Um thanks for the clothes.” he said softly.
“Whatever. Say thanks by cooking some good food for me.” she said crossing her arms and looked at him pointly.
“Sure.” Ben sighed in defeat.
‘What a glutton.’
Running into the house he grabbed some salt and different seasonings. He was no chef by any means but he knew the basics.
Duke quickly returned to what seemed to be 2 large deer. These deer had red fur and a small horn in the middle of their head.
One Horned Deer

Ben proceeded to skin the deer and started frying it over the fire. After eating their fill, Ben started putting the spices into his backpack.
He found Cloey looking at him like he was an idiot.
“What?” how did he piss her off this time?
“Are you dense or just stupid? Why don't you use the system’s storage ability?” she ridiculed Ben.
Ignoring the jabs, “Storage ability?”
She let out an exasperated sigh and waved her hand, her wineskin appeared out of nowhere!
“How do you do that!?” Ben was shocked!
“It’s a feature of the system. Just hold the item and say store.” she truly thought Ben was an idiot.
Grabbing his backpack his tried it, “Store!” The backpack disappeared into thin air.
“How do I get it to reappear?” he asked Cloey.
“Just say whatever it is you want.” Cloey answered impatiently.
“Backpack!” the backpack appeared in Ben’s hand again.
“Hahaha how cool is that!” Ben laughed loudly, storing and restoring his backpack again and again.
“What a simple idiot.” Cloey said watching Ben laughing like an idiot.

None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time.
