《Beast God》Chapter 16

“A responsibility? These eyes were forced upon me. I watched as a sadistic bitch rips my own eyes out and placed yours in. How does that make it my responsibility!?” Ben’s voice grew louder and louder until he found himself yelling.
He found this situation complete bullshit! Yes, he felt sorry for the man’s tragic past but why the hell should this become his burden!? Though he wasn't asked, Ben had read enough novels and watched enough movies to deduce that the man was going to ask him to kill the four elders that betrayed their race.
Plus the four races backing up these four elders were all super powers in the universe! Was this man mad!
“You're wrong,” the man spoke quietly, “the four races aren't backing the elders up. They went their separate ways after the eradicated my people.”
“Still, I’m a nobody from Earth. Hell, I didn't know that aliens were real until this shit all started and now I’m suppose to fight against universe powerhouses? It's not practical.”
“Yes you are a nobody right now, but you have every advantage to make something of yourself. If you promise to help me with my revenge, I’ll show you how to gain my old powers.” the man was almost pleading by the end of his speech. All his thoughts for revenge rested on the decision of a teenager.
“No.” Ben spoke without hesitation. He didn't have some crazy sense of justice and wouldn’t risk his life for someone who was already dead.
The man was devastated. He tried thinking of ways to convince this kid but it was futile.
Suddenly an idea came to him!
An evil smile appeared on his face, “You have my eyes, all four races and the elders wanted my eyes. When they see you with them, they will hunt you.”

“... you're a dick.” Ben cursed him.
“Hahaha yes I am. Now listen up you brat.” the man's face had a victorious smile on it. The golden man had failed to tell Ben that you could only transplant the Mekata eyes once, so the other races wouldn't really come after him once they saw his eyes. They might kill him in anger but no chase him for his eyes.
“Before I died I sealed a portion of the dragon blood essence in my eyes. You are still very far from being able to unlock it but you will still need to know. Because it is two different bloodlines, they are always trying to absorb each other. You need to keep them in balance at all times or the two forces with destroy your body.” the man spoke like he was giving a history lesson, which pissed Ben off more.
“To unlock the two bloodlines, both your elements will have to have at least achieved core stage. When that happens you must be in an environment rich in darkness and lightning essence.”
‘Where the hell am I going to find a place like that?’ Ben cursed this man again, his tasks keep getting more and more unrealistic.
“When that happens, you will need to learn to control the dragonification process. Luckily you have the Beast Imitation skill, use this to imitate dragons skills and attacks if you can. It will help you in the future.” concluding his speech, the man noticed Ben’s scowl.
“Listen young man, the universe is cruel and unfair. To survive you must become strong. Though you might think of my eyes as a burden, I promise you that they will give you strength needed to protect yourself and your love ones.”

Ben nodded, he know that these eyes were a blessing.
Smiling at Ben, the man said, “Okay my time is basically up. Tell Tuk I’m thankful for everything he did for me.” The man started to fade, before completely disappearing.
Ben stood there is silence, staring at where the man use to be. A sense of sadness overcame Ben, the man's story was a tragic one.
Repressing these feelings Ben tried out his new powers.
Ben concentrated, trying to find these ‘seeds’ in his body. After a few minutes Ben opened his eyes, his brow furrowed. He wasn't able to find the elements let alone manipulate them.
Pondering this, Ben suddenly smacked himself on his head.
‘Idiot! My elements are from my Mekata bloodline!’
With this new realization, Ben focused on his left eye. The blue ring circling his pupil started to grow brighter as tiny sparks started shooting out his eye. Ben controlled to sparks towards his hand, looking down at his hand, Ben saw tiny lightning bolts appear between his fingers.
“... cool.” Ben had a huge smile on his face. The feeling of controlling lightning was something that anyone would enjoy.
…
Elsewhere in the world…
A man with a dark complexion sat by the ocean, staring at it. An old spear layed next to him. Before this new world came, he was a simple fisherman who loved the ocean but now the danger was too great.
Just being near it like he was, would be considered dangerous.
The man’s name was Jason.
Jason had been no one special before the new world came, he loved his simple fisherman life but when this new world happened, all his friends and family were killed before he could protect them.
Since that day Jason wandered aimlessly, killing anything that attacked. He only found his comfort by the ocean.
While Jason was staring at the ocean a man appeared behind him. This man was very well built with a dark beard and long dark hair. It made his deep blue eyes stand out that much more. He wore a dark blue tunic, the pin on his shoulder was a small trident.
Jason jumped up and pointed his spear at the man.
The man smiled, “Hello Jason. My name is Poseidon.”
…
In the Vatican City, a young priest was hiding in a cellar from zombies. Clutching his cross he sent a silent prayer.
A bright light suddenly filled the cellar and a beautiful man with long curly blonde hair appeared from the light.
“Be calm child, for I have heard your prayers.” he said.
“St. Michael the Archangel. Defend us in battle…” the man muttered to himself.
…
All over the world, gods from different cultures appeared before people.
These people received blessings and advice from the gods. These blessings gave their strength a boost and acquired some unique skills.
…
Tuk stared down at Earth with a smile on his face, “The others have already made their move on picking their representative. I have to admit Earth truly has many talents.” his smiled deepened before he looked in the direction of North America, “Of course none of them come close to the brat I picked.”
Letting out a laugh, Tuk’s body shuddered before an exact clone of himself appeared beside him.
“Guess it’s time to meet the brat.”
