[Phase Two- Unite or Fight]
[16 Cities have been created through your world.]
[The map feature is now available in the system.]
[Foreign species have also arrived on the planet.]
[For easier access, the continents will now be joined as one.]
Ben felt the ground shaking beneath his feet, he saw birds take off into the sky and beast running in every direction, terrified of what was happening.
'Earthquake? No, it said continents joined together.'
Across the world, the continents we're slowly moving towards eachother. Buildings were collapsing and giant waves crashed into the shore lines.
South American and Africa slowly connected together, Australia slid in between Africa and India. Greenland and Canada's east coast joined together. Asia and Europe still was connected to Africa but the United Kingdom and other islands around the world joined the mainland.
In less than a day, the world we known for thousands of years, was unrecognizable.
A supercontinent was created.
...
Ben was sitting by a fire roasted a small bird he killed. The bird was extremely fast and had a razor sharp beak that could slice open someone's throat with ease.
The bird tried to ambush Ben after he killed a troll. It's attack was silent and fast but thanks to Ben's eyes and high DEX he easily evaded and counter attacked, killing the bird.
'Beasts are getting stronger.' he muttered in his heart, thinking that if he didn't have the Mekata eyes, how difficult it would have been to kill this beast.
Taking a bite of the roasted bird, Ben's mouth was filled with greasy deliciousness. He had no salt or spices but the meat was still delicious.
Ben finished the whole bird, only leaving a small pile of bones.
Ben noticed his appetite had drastically grown since gaining his class. He assumed that it had to do with the change his body had after getting the Mekata eyes.

On the island he was able to stave off his hunger with some berries and nuts he found but now he found that impossible.
Ben opened up the new map function from the system.
A map of world appeared before Ben, though it was different then the map he grew up studying. It was one giant piece of land with oceans surrounding it.
16 bright dots were on the map. They weren't spread out like he thought they would be.
6 dots were found in what use to be Asia, China had 2, Japan 1 and India seemed to have 2. Russia only had one.
These were heavily populated areas and it some people must have survived.
South America and Africa were now connected and they had 4 dots between them. Ben knew that the one dot was in Brazil but he didn't know what country the other dot was in.
The States had 4 dots, one on each coast with another one in the south.
The last dot was near the Canadian border. Just south of Saskatchewan.
'I should find my parents there.'
Ben refused to believe his family was dead. Called it denial or just extreme confidence, he believed they were alive.
Looking at the map, Ben placed himself somewhere in Mexico.
'That sadistic bitch couldn't even put me back in Canada!'
Looking at the distant between him and the city he needed to be at Ben felt like crying. Even with his speed and running for 12 hours a day, it would still take him months.
'Whatever, I will figure it out.'
What concerned Ben more was the foreign species announcement. Were these foreign species hostile or not? Are they stronger than humans?
Worried Ben looked down at his arm, Duke still showed no signs of waking up. Duke's panel showed no time reference for his evolution.

Letting out a small sigh, Ben stoked the fire before laying down and closing his eyes. Tomorrow he was going to enter the first city. He had barely any contact with people since the system started, the ones he did he ended up killing.
...
Tuk was sitting in a bath with his eyes closed, enjoying the warmth from the water. He heard Little Green come in but didn't bother opening his eyes.
"Something the matter Little Green?" he asked.
"Umm, yes Master. The Supreme just order Phase Two to begin for earth." her face was slightly red seeing her master having a bath and she tried to keep her voice calm.
"I expected much. It's nothing to be concerned with." Tuk waved his hand, dismissing her.
"Master, the Supreme also let slaves from different races onto Earth."
Tuk brows furrowed deeply as he opened his eyes and looked at her. This wasn't normal was introducing a system to a planet.
"The slaves aren't strong, mostly from races that failed the systems phases. They also had their levels dropped back down to 10. But he did release over 50,000 slaves unto the planet with some of them with demonic nature's." Little Green reported.
Tuk's frown deepened. Demonic nature species were bloodthirsty and ruthless, not to mention strong.
"Technically he did nothing wrong. I can't stop these slaves from entering Earth. In fact, this might be beneficial towards the kid. If he is able to create some allies, his chance for surviving this will be greater. But still, that pompous ass is trying to kill my planet. Looks like I might have to take a trip." the rooms temperature plummeted. Tuk was obviously enraged with Kal.
Getting out of the bath, Tuk watched away into another room.
Little Green stood there with a bright red face, after seeing her master in all his glory.
...
A trail of dust followed Ben as he ran across the land. Ben decided to put the remainder of his free attribute points into AGI to increase his speed.
Ben was now running as fast as a car on the highway would travel. The incredible thing was that he was able to achieve this speed in a blink of an eye. He attributed this to his high STR and DEX stats. He also noticed his VIT continued to increase even though he wasn't adding any points to it.
After experimenting, he found out when he uses his Inherited Skill, it would strengthen his body and heal his wounds.
This discovery made Ben giddy with joy. His body would only strengthen with time and he had a hunch that the skill had much more abilities then just healing and strengthening.
Ben ran most of then day and into the night. Only stopping to eat or use the bathroom. Late into the night he finally was able to see some lights up ahead.
Getting closer Ben saw a giant wall with to torches lined up along the top. The wall had to be over 20m tall.
Ben saw two guards at the top of the walls with large assault rifles, they had dark skin with black hair.
'God I hope my Spanish isn't rusty,' he joked before walking towards the gate.

Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
