Prologue: The Advent of Virtual Reality

Virtual reality, an idea that sparked the imagination. Through it, you could become anybody, or do anything. Everything that you thought impossible, through the use of virtual reality, became possible. This amazing and versatile technology has now become common place. People claim that this was the greatest technological innovation since the creation of the internet.

With virtual reality, a common yet costly technology, it was only natural that new products and services using this technology should emerge. Games were no exception.

Virtual reality games started to spring up left and right trying to grab a share of this new market, but each and every one of them was lacking in some shape or form. Among the 'rabble', one game stood supreme: Royal Road. With an unprecedented level of realism, and the availability of all races, professions, items, skills, and much more. It is said to be the 'perfect virtual reality game'.

Royal Road will soon be launching its final beta test at the beginning of June. Unicorn, the creators of Royal Road, have only released that they were having a closed beta test, and that they were recruiting beta testers for it. The amount of beta testers, contents, and the reason for this beta test all remain hidden.
