《Heavenly Will》Chapter 29 - Symbol Formation Over The City

An unknown glint flashed through Jia Xinyi’s bright eyes once again when the word disciple entered into her ears. Her mouth opened involuntary and two words softly left it before she knew it.
“Qing Yun…” She was perplexed, the mysterious feeling that kept bugging her those past days surfaced again together with the face of that young man.
Old Lan was startled by her soft voice, he looked at the black clothed man who merely let out a soft chuckle. It seemed as if there was something he wanted to say but he stopped himself. He was aware of that name as he heard about the incident at the Xu Ya Inn.
“I shall not take your time any longer,” The black clothed man got up and continued, “Old Lan, you can deliver the money from those Qi Boosting Pellets to my disciple, also deduct the price from there and send him ten bottles of Blood Replenishing Pellets and three xiantian beast cores.”
Without waiting for a reply he turned towards Jia Xinyi, “Lass, you don’t seem too happy about your condition being cured, mn, if you have other problems you may tell him. You two seem to have an affinity in this life so he will definitely help you,” The black clothed man paused for a moment before laughing mysteriously, “Actually, he might help you regardless, that brat has a soft spot for beautiful ladies.”
Jia Xinyi shot a peculiar gaze at the black clothed man but did not say anything as she nodded her head lightly.
“I shall take my leave then, you don’t need to see me out.” The man said and turned to leave.
Old Lan was startled, however, before he had a chance to get up, he was once again stunned into place. The blackclothed man walked out of the room with light steps as if he was taking a leisurely walk. However, Old Lan couldn’t help but gawk in amazement as he watched the seemingly ordinary steps that were so profound that even he couldn’t comprehend the laws behind them.
He stared blankly for long while before he was brought back to reality by Jia Xinyi’s voice. His expression was full of gratefulness as he glanced at the graceful figure of Jia Xinyi.
“Dear Granddaughter, we have finally found someone who can cure you!” He showed an amiable smile as his voice sounded full of love for this granddaughter of his.
“Mn.” Jia Xinyi nodded her head lightly, a sour feeling roused inside her heart. She knew how much her grandfather had to sacrifice to find a cure for her just to end up with nothing. Even his cultivation stagnated those few years. However, even after this, she could still not find the joy in living any longer. So what if she was cured if she would end up in that man’s hands. The Crimson Pavilion was too strong, if she was left alive even those close to her would end up suffering, it was something she didn’t want to see. That’s why she hoped that her life would come to an end sooner, that way the Crimson Pavilion could just give up. She already made up her mind, there was no regrets nor sadness nor any lingering feeling in this life for her. If it was not for her grandfather she would have taken her own life long ago.

She shook her head and and thrown the thought at the back of her head. She than reached her hand for one of the jade bottles on the table, “Grandfather, what kind of pill is this?” She asked with great interest.
Old Lan gave Jia Xinyi a long look before letting out a helpless sigh, he was aware of his granddaughter thoughts, but there was nothing he could do but hurry and cure her condition, as for the Crimson Pavilion, he was helpless to, its strength was too great. However, the appearance of this mysterious expert gave him some hope. If he was as strong as he believed, than maybe…
“Second grade and third grade second tier pills.” He said softly.
Jia Xinyi was startled. Her grandfather was able to concoct this kind of pills to. Why did he showed such a big reaction then.
Old Lan saw the perplexed look on Jia Xinyi’s face and chuckled, “It is merely a second tier pill however, even some fifth tier pills that we know of can’t compare to this one.” He saw the glint in Jia Xiny’s eyes becoming even more prominent as he continued with a chuckle, “Because its tier is so low it’s why this pill can be considered heaven defying. I never heard of this Qi Boosting Pellet, however, based on my probing this second tier grade three pellet can rise the cultivation of a Xiantian Cultivator by at least two layers. Also, if a peak Houtian cultivator takes one, he will immediately breakthrough in the Xiantian Realm.
Jia Xinyi was now flabbergasted, her eyes were wide and her mouth slightly agape reveling her pearl with teeth and her small rosy tongue, “How is that possible for a second tier pill to have such effect?” Her voice sounded full of disbelief.
“Even I find this hard to believe,” Old Lan shook his head, “I heard of some pills that could achieve similar results, however I’ve never seen one. Even a gold grade symbol master won’t have a high success chance of concocting such pellets. However, this pill is different as it just a second tier one. If I have the recipe I would be able to concoct one myself, not to mention that the ingredients for a second tier pill shouldn’t be too rare.”
Old Tao paused for a moment as he spoke till this point, even he could hear the disbelief in his own voice as he continued, “Also if my deduction is correct, this pill should be able to achieve at least one more higher grade. The second grade Qi Boosting Pellet has similar results, it can rise the cultivation of a Houtian practitioner by at least two layers or can allow a peak Qi Refining Realm to directly breakthrough into Houtian Realm.”
"If we go by this pattern and this pill can achieve third tier first grade then it should be able to allow a sky realm practitioner’s cultivation to rise by two layers or allow peak Xiantian cultivator to directly breakthrough into the Sky Realm.”

Once the explanation was done, both of them fell into silence. There was an indescribable feeling that could be seen in their eyes. Old Lan finally let out a sigh and shook his head after a long while.
“For now it’s more important to cure your condition. I’ll prepare the required items and we’ll both visit the Su Clan tomorrow.”
Jia Xinyi didn’t say anything as she lightly nodded her head.
…
A black clothed figure walked through spacious streets without anyone noticing his presence. His feet carried him into a secluded alley.
The cloak that covered his body gave of a faint light before swiftly changing its shape into a practitioner’s black garments that covered the body of a handsome young man.
Qing Yun let out a long sigh as he murmured to himself, “I know a woman’s intuition should be feared but isn’t that woman too frightening? She kept glaring at me the entire time!” He shook his head helplessly, “Extreme Yin Body… The spiritual energy in the five continents is too sparse, under such condition the chances of a Divine Body to be born here should be close to zero, but now… first Su’er and now Jia Xinyi, two divine bodies were born in such a secluded place”
“Mn, this can’t be a coincidence.” Qing Yun thought deeply. Two divine bodies being born in the five continents was already a matter of legends, however there were now two such cases being born in such close proximity to each other. How can this be coincidence. There was a faint connection between him, Qing Su and Jia Xinyi. It was so faint that even Qing Yun could barely discover it, even so it was still there.
From there, it didn’t take much for Qing Yun to guess that this abnormality should have something to do with him or rather with the way he reincarnated, after all, being reincarnated in the past while holding to his previous memories was quite an abnormality in itself.
“Has that old monster done something?” Qing Yun though to himself but soon shook his head, there was no point in thinking about this now. Anyway, since Jia Xinyi was affected by his reincarnation it could be said that they have an affinity. He already made up his mind that if she needed his help he would do his utmost to help her.
Nine Void Steps!
Qing Yun feet once again moved in a mysterious way several times before he jumped on top of a tall building.
Golden Demonic Eyes!
A faint golden light could be seen into Qing Yun dark eyes. He looked around with a creased brow. Those past days he felt that the spiritual energy inside the Tianlong City was slightly distorted. His spiritual sense wasn’t strong yet so couldn’t probe any further. He used his Golden Demonic Eyes to see if he could find something, and that was indeed the case.
Numerous glowing lines intersected with each other above the city. Every time two or more lines were intersected, the air around that point would distort slightly. Qing Yun brow furrowed as he watched this, what’s more, those lines seemed to stretch above the entire Tianlong City.
“A symbol formation!” Qing Yun spoke in a soft voice. Although he had yet to become a symbol master he already started to study such formations so it wasn’t hard for him to identify one. The only problem was that neither his spiritual sense nor his Demonic Golden Eyes were strong enough yet. If he wanted to see the whole formation he had to get a bird view on the whole city.
This couldn’t have been done by the Demon Gate, at least not personally. If they tried to set such a big formation the experts from the continent would have sensed it. Xiao Clan and Qing Clan don’t have the resources to set up a formation so that only leave the power that helps those two clans.
It should be the Crimson Pavilion. In my previous life I heard that they worked for the Demon Gate, however this doesn’t seem like something Demon Gate would do. Then… this is not a scheme of the Demon Gate but rather a standalone plan of the Crimson pavilion.
As Qing Yun’s thoughts reached this point he let out a sigh of relief. It was to early for him to clash with the Demon Gate. As long as it was just the Crimson Pavilion he should be able to do something about it.
Qing Yun smiled and got ready to head towards Su Clan, however, his body immediately tensed.
Nine Void Steps!
He sidestepped without even thinking, however it was too late. A piercing pain enveloped his right shoulder as his body shot backwards and heavily crashed into an alley.
“Ke ke, this is my lucky day. Who would have though that I’ll meet our target while strolling around, it seems the heavens are on my side today!”
A cold laugh reached his ears as soon as he crashed into the alley.
