《Heavenly Will》Chapter 23 - Blood Devouring Art

Inside the spacious hall, everyone’s expressions changed following the appearance of the large man. Fright and terror was apparent in their eyes as no one dared to meet the man’s eyes.
Qing Yun looked around and shook his head, What’s so frightening about a mere 4th layer Xiantian?” He looked at Su Fen questioningly.
“He is Tao Shen, the leader of Bloodstone Mercenaries and Tao Lin’s father. In Tianlong City his strength could be considered mediocre among the numerous leaders, however he has a notorious reputation of being bloodthirsty and ruthless.”
“In the past he was still aware that with his strength he couldn’t throw his weight around however he pleased but since he started working for Xiao Clan and Qing Clan he became more domineering, to the point were his Bloodstone Mercenaries would brazenly kill anyone they didn’t find pleasing to the eye!”
“He is very protective of Tao Lin and wouldn’t beat an eye killing everyone here in his rage.” Su Fen didn’t hold anything back as he explained. There was rage apparent in his voice, however there was no trance of fear in his tone.
He looked at Qing Yun just to see an exaggerated change in his expression. Su Fen felt cold sweat pour down his back when he saw the surging killing intent surging in Qing Yun’s eyes.
Qing Yun eyes were fixed on Tao Shen’s body. A somewhat yellowish Qi covered the later’s hand as it entered Tao Lin’s body. It wasn’t the golden color of Spiritual Qi but rather a dimmer version of it. A menacing aura was emanated from it as it wiggled around Tao Lin’s body.
Clenching his fists, Qing Yun felt his heart shudder as his mind was sent into disarray. As if not believing his own eyes, his vision became more focused, however the answer he got was still the same.
It’s no mistake! The Blood Devouring Art! Why?! Why is one of the Demon Gate’s techniques here?!
Qing Yun head was filled with question. The sight in front of him was too inconceivable. The Blood Devouring Art was the most precious art of the Demon Gate. Although the art itself it’s split into different levels and Tao Shen cultivates the lowest level, this was too absurd.

Who was Demon Gate? One of the five super sects, the hegemons of the five continents! Even if you killed him, Qing Yun still won’t believe that those people would lend their most valuable technique to someone from this backwater place. He was aware that Demon Gate sent it’s people throughout the five continents, however it still didn’t explained the sight in front of him.
Tao Shen was clearly not someone from Demon Gate, even the one behind Xiao Clan and Qing Clan shouldn’t be someone directly sent from there. Not to mention that it should still be one more year before that great energy ripple will hit the Azure Dragon Continent. As of now there shouldn’t be any expert from Demon Gate in the Divine Wind Empire.
Even if that wasn’t the case and the great ripple would have already hit the continent, drawing the attention of those experts, there shouldn’t be any reason to give any of their techniques to any random bastard on the streets, let alone the Blood Devouring Art.
A feeling of wariness made it’s way inside Qing Yun’s heart. Since he had his memories from his past life he thought that there was nothing that could escape his eyes, however it seems he was too confident. Demon Gate’s schemes seem to be more deep than what he believed.
No matter their plans, Qing Yun already made up his mind to keep an eye on the Xiao Clan and Qing Clan, if they are really helping Demon Gate with some wicked scheme he wouldn’t mind making it so their current generation will be the last one.
“Ah!” Tao Shen mad roar enveloped the hall again, “Little bastards! You dare cripple my son?! I’ll kill you then slaughter your entire families. Ahh!” His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at Qing Yun and Su Fen with insanity.
Qing Yun mouth formed a disdainful curve as he looked at the crazed appearance of Tao Shen. “It’s the Blood Devouring Art alright. Too bad it’s the lowest level. Not even the lowest disciples of Demon Gate would cultivate at such a low level. You may be able to rise your cultivation quickly but with time it will erode your mind and soul leaving you as an empty carcass that lives for nothing more than murder!”

“Mister Tao Shen, I think that should be enough, no?” Just as Qing Yun prepared to take a step forward, a melodious laughter filled the entire hall. The tension in the air was immediately crumbled following the laughter. Just like a fine wine it made the minds of every man that heard it go hazy.
Qing Yun raised his brows in surprise and turned towards the steps that lead to the second level. Two figures were standing there facing the entire hall. To the right, a small figure had her hands pressed on her twin peaks that made for a strange yet alluring portrait when placed on her petite frame. Her big eyes were staring at Su Fen with worry.
It wasn’t hard for Qing Yun to deduce who this adorable looking girl was. He shot a strange look at Su Fen. When the image of that petite figure standing besides this boulder like man surfaced in his mind, he could barely contain his laughter. It was indeed quite a peculiar sight, but strangely enough it felt harmonious.
Qing Yun eyes the wondered on the other figure and couldn’t help but gawk in amazement. In fact, every man in the hall was staring at her with fiery gazes. Qing Yun laughed bitterly as he could understand their reactions.
Alluringly, she would blink her eyes from time to time, allowing her eyelashes to flutter like the wings of a butterfly. Her eyes were simply spellbinding. A green skirt bound her slender waist enhancing her already perfect figure. Her seraph's ears were pierced by golden hoops that were concealed by caramel colored blonde waves, enhanced by highlights of pink and blue. However the most distinguished aspect found on her alluring figure were undoubtedly her eyes. Her left eye was a rapturous shade of cerulean blue, and jade-white rondured sphere orbited in her right eye. Each one held a coruscate gleam that enhanced their beauty.
Even Qing Yun was taken aback by her appearance. She was by no means inferior to Qing Su. If Qing Su could be considered an elegant beauty that still contained some childish playfulness making for an enchanting personality, than this woman had an elegance embedded with traces of sexiness that made for the appearance of an enchantress.
In fact, Qing Su was to young so she was still lacking in outer appearance compared to this woman. Of course, after a few years, even Qing Yun felt a fiery desire to see those two stand beside each other. It would certainly make for the dream of every man.
The woman alluring eyes swept over the hall pausing slightly on the ten bloody figures scattered around then finally stopping on the young silhouette of Qing Yun. A trace of curiosity swept through them as she stared at him in wonder.
She then turned towards Tao Shen, her eyes were smiling but a cold expression could be seen in them. Before she could open her mouth again, Tao Shen roared like a crazed animal.
“Don’t stand in my way bitch! If I, your father, won’t butcher those two bastards today I’m not worthy of the name Tao Shen!”
Pffft!
Everyone’s expression turned strange as they shot pitiful looks Tao Shen, Even if your angry, there are still people you can’t offend. Has your brain been covered in dog shit? Even Xiao Clan and Qing Clan won’t be able to save you now. They all thought the same thing.
Even Qing Yun let out a chuckle. This guy has been driven crazy by the Blood Devouring Art. It was clear he wasn’t thinking clearly. Although Qing Yun didn’t know this woman's identity, it was clear at first sight that she wasn’t simple. He believed that maybe not even the Xiao Clan and Qing Clan won’t amount too much in her eyes.

Generic Zombie survival Wuxia Cliche story
Same old same old. Zombies attack. Zombies Evolve. Humans evolve. Humans gain superpowers. No deep plot, no plot planned out at all actually. Writing it as I go and because I'm a sad boi trying to use stories as a form of escapism. Not going to proofread, not going to check for grammar or anything. Will definitely read like a machine-translated Chinese amateur web novel. Have a nice day. (The cover is from one punch man, no this is not a fanfic) (I don't actually plan/think anything in this will be too gory or "traumatizing" but since its a zombie survival story I thought I might as well add it, plus the fact that the MC does some pretty messed up stuff. He's the stereotype Wuxia villain so to speak, expect competently and not dumbed down to make the hero look smart.) I will add warnings in author notes before chapter starts if anything particularly "gory" or trigger events happen.

Bloodshed
Every ship has its secrets. The Bloodshed was no different. As its name suggests, this ship had seen its fair share of bloodshed. Originally, the ship was christened The Star of Orion. Over time with all the battles it endured, it quickly became known as Blood of Orion. Eventually, that morphed into the name we know today. The Star of Orion was built as a trade ship but when she was captured by pirates, she was modified and outfitted with anywhere between 15 and 30 guns. She was captained by one of the most fearsome pirates to roam the northeastern coast of North America and the southern coast of Africa, Anwen Wolfe. Anwen was known as the Wolf of the Atlantic. She captured The Star of Orion on its way to London. Little is known about what happened in their final days on the high seas, until now.

The Ramayana - Lakshmila's POV
We have read The Ramayana as kids and always knew it to be the story of Rama and his consort Sita. Every character has an important role to play. But not all of them have found much importance is any of the version. One such character is Urmila and her story with Lakshmana. All versions mention Urmila's sacrifice as "Unparalleled" but none depicted it. This story is an attempt to present the story of Ramayana from Urmila and Lakshmana's POV. Note : This story is fictional. The characters are the same. This story is an insight of The Ramayana through Lakshman and Urmila's eyes. There would be Nobody's POV also. The events are the same but the depiction is part of fiction. Parts of the story is loosely based/inspired from Sita's Sister but I have taken creative liberty to give my character more edge and depth.
