《Heavenly Will》Chapter 8 - Leaving the Past Behind

Qing Yun was staring into space with a blank expression on his face. His face didn’t show any feelings but his deep dark eyes were betraying a surge of emotions that was hard to go unnoticed.
For a long period of time his body remained frozen without the slightest of movement, but if one were to look closely they could discern a barely visible shaking of his clenched fists. No words came out of his mouth in this period of time, even so, his mouth remained slightly agape.
He completely lost the the notion of time, no matter how much time passed he still remained unmoved. Qing Yun wasn’t aware how much time he spent in that state, but the sun who was previously high in the sky was already replaced by a bright moon. It’s been several hours but he still remained unmoved. It was like he was afraid that the slightest ripple would awaken him from this dream.
His body remained unmoved but his mind was like a surging volcano. This sudden revelation left him stunned for good. Not just him, anyone would feel the same. He lived a life full of hatred and killing, he lost every person who was dear to him, but now he was reincarnated in the past with his memories, all those who died were still alive, he was given a second chance… How could he not be stunned by this revelation… But more than anything, he was elated, now he could atone for his past mistakes, he could make sure that no one had to go through the same excruciating fate again…
As those thoughts flowed inside his head one after another, he could feel his heart and soul becoming lighter. It was like a mountain range was weighing on him previously and was now being lifted slowly.

Swish!
A wave of warm energy flowed inside Qing Yun body. It washed every part of his body leaving behind a warm gentle feeling. It was a feeling that Qing Yun never experienced before, but it was so comfortable that it made him moan in pleasure.
Spiritual Qi! That’s right, for the first time in his two lifetimes the Spiritual Qi was flowing inside his body uncontrollably.
Huuf
For the first time in the last few hours, Qing Yun body finally moved. He exhaled deeply as his body moved in the meditation position. His eyes were closed but the excitement on his face was hard to go unnoticed.
Looking inside his body, the small cracks throughout his entire body were slowly disappearing under the baptism of the Spiritual Qi. The smile on Qing Yun face grew even larger, he could barely contain his excitement.
“Oh?”, Qing Yun glanced inside his dantian, there was dark green gaseous ball floating about, inside it there were countless threads of five colored lighting, “It seems it won’t be that easy,” he laughed bitterly, “ I wonder how did this thing got inside my body? For now it looks dormant so it shouldn’t cause problems for a while.”
Qing Yun didn’t show any apprehension towards this time bomb inside his body. His voice actually contained a trace of… excitement!
This was the five colored lighting. The heavenly tribulation which could make every paragon from this world piss their pants in fear, but Qing Yun was looking forward to find out more about it.
Qing Yun was no fool. He wouldn’t overlook a threat to his life no matter how small, even so he still felt excitement towards this heavenly tribulation. Of course, his confidence wasn’t unfounded, after all he had the Gate of Knowledge. He didn’t believe that there was nothing in there that could help him subdue this heavenly tribulation.

Even now, the Gate of Knowledge was a total mystery to him. He didn’t know were it came from or why was it in his possession. He could take the plainest of technique from there and it could still cause a great war in the five continents. In his previous life Qing Yun had several mysterious encounters, this Gate of Knowledge was just one of them, even so, back then he didn’t had the leeway to try and uncover those mysteries.
Swish!
The wave of Spiritual Qi made it’s was inside Qing Yun’s dantian. Everywhere it passed, the small, prominent cracks would disappear soon after. Qing Yun watched with a light smile on his face as the last crack disappeared from his dantian.
Siting cross legged on the bed, Qing Yun opened his eyes suddenly as a gush of Spiritual Qi was emanated from his body.
Huuh
He exhaled deeply letting out a putrid dark mist from his mouth.
“Impurities Cleansing?” Qing Yun looked at his body with excitement, “So this is the feeling of cultivation, hehe, I could get addicted to this!”
Qing Yun’s complexion looked much healthier than before, his whole body gave off a vigorous aura. There was no gloominess in his eyes anymore, it was replaced by a refreshing smile.
After regaining his memories, even when he smiled, Qing Yun was always surrounded by a gloomy aura, Qing Yin and the others were aware of this but they didn’t asked as they believed that it was because of his inability to cultivate.
Now, that dejected aura was gone, being replaced by a refreshing one. At this moment Qing Yun body was trembling with excitement, if this was not a populated area he would start running and scream out his lungs.
The feeling of Qi circulating inside his body was too extraordinary. Now that he could finally get over his previous life and with his crippled body restored, it was at this moment that he truly felt reborn!
“Hahaha, good, good good,” In his excitement, Qing Yun couldn’t help but say ‘good’ three times. He always longed this feeling, once he chose a Qi Refining Technique he would finally be able to step into the cultivation world!
“Hehe, a sixteen year old boy who just stepped into the Qi Refining Stage, even with my body restored I can still imagine the looks of contempt I will get.” Qing Yun said with a playful smile on his face.
“Now let’s see if we can find a good Cultivation Technique for this young master.” Qing Yun could not contain his excitement any longer as he prepared to enter the Gate of Knowledge.
“Mm?”
The mark between his brow shone with a purple luster as a gush of information entered Qing Yun’s head.
It was a Cultivation Tehinque!!
“Primordial God Physique?!”

No Moon
Vree liked his humans. They were kind, clever, and tended to be adorable, in the way that a small, particularly spiny cub was adorable right before it bit you. Of course, small adorable cubs usually couldn’t shapeshift or burst into flame whenever it suited them. Tusca hired a teenager on a whim, and a doctor because they were old friends. Unfortunately, nothing is ever simple when a Red Baron is at the helm.

TTWN: The Tale of Will Newbie
This series is inspired by the music of TheFatRat, please take a look if you don't know who he is here. Everyone wants to live in a fantasy world, right up until they have to face dark beings beyond their comprehension. Everyone wants to be a hero, right up until every day becomes a fight for their life. Sixteen-year-old introvert Will Newbie lives in a fantasy world. He's the hero of this story. He has been left with nothing; after a brief adventure in the mountains near his home, he returns to find his entire home missing, every person mysteriously vanishing into thin air. All that's left for him is his rather, "disembodied" older sister and the quest given to him by a rat-turned-god: Gather a team of Champions, fight back against the forces of Sin, and save the world. But if he's learned anything, it's that being a hero isn't as easy as it sounded in the books. So, he'll have to keep himself together, keep his team from tearing each other apart, and figure out just how much he's willing to sacrifice for what he believes in. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! This is my first fully written story, so I want to improve. Positive or negative, I'll take it into account! I will try to update weekly every Friday, but as I'm pretty new to this kinda grind expect some irregularities. The covers are also by moi, done in Pixel Studio. Quite proud of them, really.

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. Farrien welcomed home millions of troops and warriors with the Archdukes of Aerianne and Kanaria leading them at the forefront. It was common belief that they possessed special blood blessed by the Goddess Stecia, who gifted the lineage to the first King of Farrien when he first founded the country. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
