Book 2 C 28 A New Friend

We teleport out of it's fire as we are engulfed by flames, Julie's area shield takes the brunt of the flames. Our mana is depleted by 132000 instantly. A scary amount of damage if you calculate it. We see the Dragon back in the air high above scanning for us. Julie's mind is terrified right now. We are all trying to calm her down at the same time. Our sync is starting to break apart as Julie is unable to make a decision with us.

The Dragon begins it's decent, it has found us and is coming like a missile. Julie's fear breaks us apart and we separate. Aerleras teleports away from harm, Cindy runs in another direction, Ki'Diera jumps for cover, while Julie remains stuck in fear, watching the approaching Dragon fall towards us. I jump and grab Julie dragging her to the ground as the Dragon's massive talons scrape the ground where we stood.

I feel a burning sensation across my back, I took a glancing blow from the one of it's claws, ripping my back open, exposing raw flesh from the tear. It is a fatal wound.

“Scott, god no!” Cindy cries out in terror at the sight.

“Julie save him!” Ki'Diera screams out.

Julie stands in fear, unable to move looking at me as blood is gushing out of my back, me laying on the ground on my stomach, unable to utter a word due to the extreme pain, gasping for air, my right lung was pierced.

Aerleras teleports to us and grabs Julie by the shoulders and slaps her across the face “Get a hold of yourself Julie,” Aerleras yells at her.

The Dragon roars in the sky, circling us about to make another move.

Julie straightens up, sees me laying there “I'm so sorry Scott, so sorry,” she cries and places her hands on me, her hands glowing a bright green, as she hits me with her most powerful heal. Our minds are beginning to sync back up, thru the pain and lack of air, I feel her coming back to us. Once again we merge into one and teleport just as fast, as Aerleras takes control of our destination, back to the keep. In my mind, I let them know we must kill it or it will attack the others out here.

With that thought the Dragon dives again this time not at us as it can not find us, but another target. Over the radio we hear screams of Dragon and assistance needed.

Merged as one my healing is accelerated by five fold. I can breathe again and the pain is subsiding quickly. My mind is clearing and I slowly merge back into the group fully coherent. Julie has overcome her fear with the assistance of us all, as we tell her how we can kill it showing her the death of the Dragon in our minds. Believing it to be true she engages in battle with us.

We teleport back to the last known area the Dragon was seen and see it high in the sky searching for prey. I take out Big Daddy and fire a shot at it, The explosive kind, to grab it's attention, and that we did in a big way. No sooner was it hit, it was diving at us again, but now that Julie was on board, we could teleport away before it struck. Using Aerleras level to charge Big Daddy, I fire again this time at a wing, the shot hits but only leaves a scorch mark on it. The Dragon zooms into the sky once more and turns on it's axis for another dive, and plunges at us, this time once again spewing fire before it in a wide area. We once again teleport to safety away from the flames, before they can reach us, I switch to cold and fire again at a wing.

The Green Dragon roars in pain, as the wing shows ice appearing on it, the sinews and membrane freezing in place..I fire another shot at the other wing with a follow up to the under belly. The other wing too has ice beginning to appear on it, but the underbelly shows no sign of damage but it is iced over.

Flapping frantically the Dragon is trying to stay aloft, and begins to lower itself to the ground before us.

It lands and it is a mighty creature, not as big as the first one we saw, but enough to make one fear for their life.

It's body with the tail at 150 meters long it's neck spans 20 meter and the huge head sporting 2 massive horns and a long snout opens it's maw to expose rows upon rows of sharp teeth that can chew thru metal.

It roars it's challenge to us and then charges on it's four legs. The legs are placed on it's body like a feline instead of it's sides like a reptile, giving it great speed on the ground surprising us. It closes the distance of 70 m in the blink of an eye and we have to teleport once more to safety as it snout snaps shut where we stood.

Blinking in surprise it looks around, looking for us. Using Cindy's dual flames we unleash her fire onto it's back and folded wings. The Dragon Roars in pain once more, it's scales glowing red, it's wings are shredded some as the ice is melted quickly and cracks appear, it swipes it's great tail at us. We jump into the air to avoid the swipe and teleport away again.

Our mana is still recharging, accelerated by the five, but not near enough to take a fire blast from the Dragon head on. Using big Daddy I hit it with cold again. Frost forms on the Dragon, the scales on it's back are super cooled, it's wings have ice on them once more. The dragon spreads it's wings to shake off the ice and I fire an explosive blast at one of the wings, shattering the wing at the base. It roars in rage an pain at us. It looks pretty pissed off now I think

Now we are certain the Dragon is grounded. The Dragon begins to inhale, taking a deep long breath then exhales a fog all around it. Everything around the Dragon begins to wither and melt into a pool of liquid, it's wing begins to regenerate at an alarming pace. Using Cindy's Fireballs we fire several at the Dragon, burning the cloud away from it, slowing the regeneration to a crawl. In quick succession we fire 8 fireballs all about the Dragon, then hit it once again with Big Daddy to super cool him down.

Once more frost appear all over the Dragon and it's wings begin to ice over. Outraged the Dragon charges us once again on the ground charging and spewing flames at us. We teleport onto it's back, putting big Daddy Away and pulling out Ki'Diera's Sword and Aerleras' Dagger, plunging both into it's back, only to find both bladed turns aside by the massive scales. At the last moment we teleport away once again, as it's massive tail comes crashing onto it's own back, to swipe us away.

So far we have hit the beast with all we have and only managed to remove it's wing, it's only weak point so far. Our mana is almost regenerated now, as we eye the massive beast before us, looking for an opening. Once again the beast charges us, flames are seen in it's mouth and we teleport away again, but this time it held it's breath anticipating our move and catches us flat footed and spews it's breath at us. Julie's mana barrier barely holds, as we teleport away again, our mana sucked down by 153000 this time.

A “hnn hnn hnn hnnn hnnn” rumbling like laugh can be heard coming from the Dragon, as it eyes us with intelligent eyes, feline like and gold in color. It moves sideways now looking at us trying to decide it's next move.

A loud screeching sound is heard high above. It is a regal sound, one of pride, as both the Dragon and us up, Massive talons come crashing down onto the Dragon. One by one they hit over and over in quick succession, attacking the Dragon from several angles and rise majestically back into the air. The force of the hits rocks the Dragon each time as a scale is cracked or broken off.

There are six if them, as they fly back high into the air, their great eagle heads with their sharp beaks cry out a prideful tune, their bodies that of the royal lion with long elegant tails. on the front of the body are their great talons and on the rear are the powerful legs of a great cat with paws, sporting long, sharp claws. On their heads are feline ears that stand up like those of the Ny'Har'en. Instant love for them is felt gushing out from Ki''Diera, as she sees the majestic creatures. Never in her life has she seen such a beautiful creature and her desire for them overwhelms us all.

Seeing the Dragon now distracted, it's head raised high into the air, it's underbelly fully exposed, as it rises on it's hind legs, I fire three cold shots at it, encasing the underbelly in ice. I fire an explosive shot at it, Scales crack and fly apart at the explosion. Roaring in pain the Dragon once again focuses on us, and begins to charge. A Griffin descends at high speed crashing into the Dragon throwing it off balance landing on it's side, it's tail swipes the Griffin sending it flying into a rock formation, bending it's wing at an unnatural angle, it's wing is now broken. Crying in pain the Griffin lets out a long piercing painful screech. Ki'Diera's heart breaks at the sound.,

We fire another cold followed by an explosive at the Dragon laying in it's side causing more scales to fly off. The Dragon attempts to right itself but is hit by several more Griffins at high speed knocking it off it's legs. Two Griffin land by the dragon and attack with talons and claws, ripping into the soft flesh under the scales. Another lands on it neck and begins to attack the face, piercing the Dragons eye with it's sharp beak.

The underbelly of the Dragon is now torn open and a gaping wound is seen, it is missing one eye and it roars in pain and lurches to it's feet sending the three Griffins flying into the air, who take flight to gain altitude, away from the Dragon's reach. Trying to catch them, the Dragon stands once more and lets loose it flames, we do not hesitate and fire two cold rounds followed by one explosive into the gaping wound of the Dragon. Two thuds followed by a massive blast, blow the Dragon into pieces, it's body comes apart at the seams, pieces flying in all directions, frozen to the touch. I get glimpse of the Dragon before it died.

Creature!Green Dragon level 265

Five Griffins fly circling overhead, as the one hurt, eyes us suspiciously, it's wing bent and broken unable to fly. We are forced apart by Ki'Diera and split up.

“We have to help it, Scott!” Ki'Diera cries out in anguish looking the majestic beast.

“It will eat us sooner than let us approach it, my princess,” I say to her looking at the beast standing only 30 meters away. So far it has made no move to attack us, and given me no reason to shoot, they did help us.”I say we leave it alone and let it go back to it's pack or flock, not sure what to call it” I say to her.

“No we must help it, Julie can heal it!”, Ki'Diera insists.

“Princess, it is wild, it will attack, please understand that.”I plead to her, hoping she does nothing reckless, keeping my Rifle ready to shoot.

Ki'Diera slowly approaches the beast, it screeches what sounds like a challenge to her.
