Book 2 C 22 The Fourth

The door flies open and Doc Snow comes running inside, he climbs onto the bed holding a Jet Injector and hits me in the neck with it, injecting me with it's contents.

Confused I look at him “wha...what was that for?” I ask him.

He injects Cindy and Julie as well” you folks have been in here for quite a while you know?” He says almost embarrassed seeing all four girls in bed with me.

“It has only been a day Doc, come on.” I say to him.

“A day? Try three days Scott! Three!” He says in amazement.

“Three days? Really? Holy crap.” I reply in disbelief.

“When you stopped doing the upgrades we knew something was up.” Doc Snow says concerned, then he looks to Aerleras who is hiding under the covers.”I don't need to ask what happened sigh.”

“It was spur of the moment, it just happened” I say defensively.

“Ki'Diera you should have noticed, you are immune to this.” He says accusingly to her.

“The soul link got the better of me it seems.” Ki'Diera replies.

“Well just to be safe I need all five of you to come to the infirmary for a check up.” Doc Snow says to us.

At that time Julie jumps out of bed equips her outfit, red hair flying, she begins to run “I am going to be sick” she cries.

Then suddenly Cindy does the same, “me too!” As she runs out of the room, our bathrooms are across the hall.

Finally Ki'Diera gets up and puts on her underwear, walks, but then runs as well.

“So morning sickness finally got them huh?” Doc snow states more than asks.

“Morning sickness?” Aerleras asks from under the covers.

“Yes our three little Queens there are all pregnant.” Doc Snow remarks.

“Even the Ny'Har'en?” Aerleras asks her voice now shaken.

“Yes, why do you ask?” Doc Snow asks.

I already know the question, but she asks anyways,” So I could become pregnant as well from Scott?”

“I believe so, from what we can tell, Scott is ummm, special when it comes to that. He somehow can override contraception, as in Julie and Cindy's case, and impregnated Ki'Diera on their first time together.” Doc Snow answers.

“Healer is there a way to prevent or stop the pregnancy?” Aerleras asks concerned now.

I look into her mind and see her concern. Children of half breed are frowned upon. It is extremely rare for an Elf to conceive with that of another race and almost never happens, but when it has, the child was deformed or short lived in each case, being seen as an abomination by all. The Elves are a long live race, what we experience in one year takes an Elf ten years or more. At 18, one is considered a mature human, but for Elves it is 160, only then has an Elf matured to understand life by their terms to be considered an adult.

Due to this difference, when a half breed is born, their two halves are unable to mix causing the deformities or illness and short life spans. It is deemed merciful to put it to death, to not experience a life of pain and suffering. I feel her sorrow at the thought, she did not consider the possibility of conception, but now Doc Snow says there is a high chance of such and her fear is growing inside.

“If you like I can check for you” Doc Snow offers.

“How?” Asks Aerleras.

“I have magics that can tell”, Doc Snow says and give her a gentle smile.

Aerleras then lowers the blankets from her, revealing her massive breasts and then her abdomen area. Doc Snow places his hand on her abdomen and his hand gives off a faint green glow as he concentrates, then he pulls back and looks at her.

“You have a healthy life growing in you” he says smiling.

Her eyes grow wide and fear shows now.”We must stop it at once”.

“You seem to not understand, Aerleras, it is healthy, there are no deformities or anything wrong it it now.” He says reassuringly to her smiling gently.

“Tha...that is impossible, all others who bore half breed were deformed or ill upon birth.” she says now in disbelief.

“That might have been the case as you say, but I can assure you, this life in you is neither deformed or ill at this time, in fact if I had to guess it is developing almost all of your traits when compared to one another.” Doc Snow now says in thought out loud.

“You mean to say there is a good chance it will be normal and lead a healthy life?”, she asks, her eyes are now looking for hope as she grabs her abdomen with both hands.

“Yes, I am saying that. We will keep an eye on things tho, regular check ups to see if there are any changes over the next few months, if something changes, we can discuss it then, ok?” Doc Snow says and asks her.

She nods as tears begin to flow from her. At that time Julie returns,”It seems Scott's little swimmers are miracle workers huh?” She says smiling.

Aerleras looks at Julie and laughs smiling.”I never thought to have a child, as the birth rate is low for us Elves. Conception among us is low and with others not of our race even lower.”

Doc Snow asks, “pardon me for asking but how old are you Aerleras?”

“I am now, by your calendar 255 years of age”, Aerleras replies looking at Doc Snow.

Doc Snow hears the words and then slowly looks to me. His eyes are showing amazement, as he digests the information. “Over 250 huh? That is pretty amazing.........um yeah, well I guess we will have to update our information too” He says seemingly stumped. Then gathering himself once again,” so we will schedule regular check ups for you over the coming weeks ok, umm just curious how long does an Elven pregnancy last? “

“It is common for an Elves to bear a child for up to two years, in rare cases even longer, almost three of your calendar years.” Aerleras says.

Cindy comes running into the room,”Did she jut say three years? Oh my god that would be horrible for me.”

Confused Aerleras looks to Cindy, “why? How longs will yours last”

Cindy says to her with a smile,” nine months at best”

“And Julie too, as well as Ki'Diera?” Aerleras asks.

“I see, for us Elves bearing a child is a privilege as we pass on our knowledge of magics to the child before it is born, an Elf child is then born with a basic understanding of the magics we possess and learns at a rapid pace retrieving that information as they grow, until they hit the point where they are their parents equals. From there then they grow at their own pace developing that magic to be their own to pass on to their children if such is conceived.” Aerleras says explaining.”If this child is normal it will truly be a miracle child.”. She says hoping and wishing.

Ki'Diera returns to the room now, “knowing my warrior, his seed will perform as expected!”

And there it is Aerleras Smith, Pregnant 942 days, just under three years to go.

“If that is the case, I will have no more regrets in life” Aerleras say smiling to me her Violet eyes sparkling.

"Well with that done I need to get back to the infirmary, and you Scott have a lot to do to day after taking three days off." Doc Snow says moving to leave the room.

I have been silent this whole time watching, listening and probing into Aerleras memories. It would truly be a miracle child indeed. The union of two races where one race is long lived and the other shorter, melding the best both have to offer to bring forth a new life.

"Yes Doc Snow and thank you, I will head out in just a minute, by the way this shot seemed different, I still feel a slight effect coming from Aerleras.” I say to him.

“Yes we found what we believe is the cause and prevention” Doc Snow says “While in battle you all built up natural inhibitors, so when you fought with the Elves at your side no one was effected, once the battle was over the full affect was felt then”.

“We discovered the Ny'Har'en seem to always be in battle mode, this why they are not affected.” Says Doc Snow” so we adjusted the inhibitor accordingly, you should feel a slight battle lust instead, we also made an aerosol spray and put it in the Cafeteria, all are to visit the Cafeteria once a day for at least 15 min to take in the air there.” Doc Snow continues.

“We believe that overtime, Human will build up a natural immunity to the Elves with exposure, so in the Aerosol we added the Elven cause in small dosages to help build up this immunity.” Doc Snow explains” we believe that over a months time everyone will be able to be around Elves then, able to handle the lust, allowing the isolation of the Elves to be lifted.”

“That is fantastic news Doc!” I say to him.

“Actually you can thank Doc Mathews, it seemed, well umm...she got jealous of the Elves and the effect it ….ermm...ahh,well it had on me” He says embarrassed, whispering the last part looking away.

“Nothing more motivates a woman in love right Doc?” Cindy says laughing.

“Love huh? Well back to work for me, I expect to see you five later in my office for that check up....” he says and leaves the room.

“Three days I did not even notice” Julie says in disbelief.

“I now right?” Cindy laughs

“I am feeling rather hungry right now, I could go for a big steak” I say and I hear three retching sounds as Julie, Cindy and Ki'Diera each jump and run for the bathroom again.

“Was it something I said?” I ask, while Aerleras puts her head on my shoulder and smiles patting my arm.
