“All of you were a victim to David's abilities. There is no shame here to be had, because of that.” I say slowly,”I find no fault with any of you, nor do I feel any of you betrayed me or did me wrong, please understand everyone at this table is my extended family now.”

A few surprised looks appear at the words. A few tears also appear. “This is far more hard on everyone then we actually realize. Trust is so easily destroyed now a days, by careless acts. We live in a time when we all need one another and rely on each other to survive. Know, that I rely on each of you to this very moment to be here for me and the people, and into tomorrow too.” I say looking at each one in turn slowly.

“I prepared a ring for each of you, which you now wear. It is not only a ring that will prevent future incidents like the one we just encountered, but also has a part of my soul in it as a token of my friendship and how much I value each of you.” I continue. “Please my friends lets move on together and forward into a future where we all smile together once more, I beg of you this, do not let guilt or regret take away what we had before this incident, you are not at fault and I accept this, so please accept that as well.”.

“This is not going to be easy for anyone, this is going to take time, as it will always be on our minds in the background, acceptance and understanding are the key here to move forward, not letting the guilt paralyze you.” Doc Mayes says to all at the table.,” Scott tho I understand I am not personally at fault for what happened, it does not change fact of what occurred, for that I deeply apologize”.

“I accept your apology Christina”, I say to her, then I get up and go to her and shake her hand firmly.

One by one the others also get up and apologize, we either shake hands of give hugs.

“I am so god damned sorry Scott” Rick says.

“Rick know this, if there is one person whom I would never doubt, it would be you ok?” I say to him with a smile.

He looks at me and smiles weakly with uncertainty and nods, but the smile is a happy one even tho it is a weak one.

Bre'Tirgan is the last one, he has been looking at his daughter the entire time, his face is full of anger and regret. “I have not only dishonored you, but my daughter has done so too, my family can not live down this betrayal to you by us”. He starts

“Bre'Tirgan I have some news for you that might change your mind on that front.” I say to him motioning him to sit down again.

“Really now? What could ever wash away our crime?” He asks.

“As proof, that none of my Wives betrayed me and that they truly love me, our soul link was upgraded. “ I say to all at the table.

“Upgraded how?” Asks Doc Snow quickly.

“Well for one we are, how should I put this so you all can understand........” I say starting to think

All four of us say this in quick succession as if one person had said it.Then all four of us speak together at one.

“As one, we are of one mind, one body and one soul, we share one another's thoughts and feelings, no secret is held from us, we see as one and we think as one, we now share all four of our abilities as one”

“Holy bejeezus” Doc Snow exclaims, “How? When?” is all he can ask.

“Is this true My daughter” Bre'Tirgan's face takes on an expression of disbelief.

As one we speak again,” Know that the love we all share is what made this happen Bre'Tirgan, as Ki'Diera I can say it is true Father and as Scott, I can say I love her with all my heart, Bre'Tirgan, so be at rest and peace of mind, there is no fault or blame here to anyone.”.

“So how was that folks? Convinced now?” I ask as myself once more.

“Are you four always like this now?” Asks Rick cautiously.

“No, we are still individuals, but can link up when the need arises, it is a choice now” says Cindy.

“Yes we still have our own individual thoughts, but when we merge, oh my god, it is an incredible feeling” Julie says her face is delighted at the thought.

“Father I know what you say is true, but also know when merged with Scott, I feel and know he lays no blame to me or you or anyone here, and truly, deeply loves me, when we merged all doubt was erased from my mind from before”. Says Ki'Diera. “I can now accept it and return Scott's love with all my heart and have no feelings of guilt or regret, now you all must do the same”.

Bre'Tirgan is speechless, he is unable to understand what is going on.

“It will take a while for everyone to fully understand the implications of this or how it works, also know that as one, we know each others deepest secrets and thoughts, there is no pretense here from any of the four of us.” I say to them all.

“So when you say as one, you share all four's abilities?” Montgomery asks now.

“As one, we have Julie's healing's, Cindy's fire magics, Ki'Diera's body and weapons enhancements and her sword fighting abilities, and my Reality Manipulation and TA Advanced Marine abilities. We share it all, all skills and all abilities.” I say to him.

“That is hard to understand how that works, to be honest” Halloway now says.

“Actually it is quite easy, when merged as one, we share all previous experiences and memories, so I saw and experienced first hand, Julie, Cindy and Ki'Diera training and development and know each of their skills and abilities like they were my own” I say to them all.

“First the Reality Manipulation and now this? Scott do you understand what is going on here?” Doc Snow says his face is pale.

“Yes Doc Snow I actually do, but why, is still a mystery, we are evolving into a higher life form.” I say to him.

That news floored everyone. A Few whistled, while others looked shocked.

“A higher life form?” That means you are no longer human?” Doc Mathews asks.

“No, we are still human and retain our individuality, but we also can become one, evolving, but know we are still in the infancy of this, there is much to be discovered and understood. Many answers still elude us even with the four minds linked as one. “ Cindy says. Julie and Ki'Diera nod.

Dinner went by quickly as more questions and answers came up, mostly redundant questions as people try to grasp and understand it all. But it seemed the events from before were quickly wiped away by this new news. The atmosphere relaxed and a round of drinks were ordered and brought, as people began to drink and slowly enjoy themselves, once more, as the guilt and regret faded into history. Bre'Tirgan especially, at hearing his daughter has become one with Scott and was forgiven and loved, almost broke down, but regained himself and gave it his all to move forward.

Into the night we sat and talked no one wanting to leave, the atmosphere was of family and friends. We also talked about the mass resurrections by Doc Snow, at last count he resurrected, 41 people, but no more sacrifices came forward after. The remaining would be buried in graves and given a final farewell.

We also discussed the progress of the Keep. After seven days, we were now at a level 5 Keep, a third floor has been added and one of the Albuquerque Generators has been transmuted into a massive mana crystal and used for the area Domed Mana Barrier to cover the outer walls, the inner walls were now 40 ft tall. Watch Towers 60 ft tall, all were sturdier and bulkier than before, the inner walls much thicker too. Also the outer walls were up and were at level 2 at 20 ft tall, 16 Watch towers were added, as well as 8 Flanking towers to the outer walls.

Rick had guards posted on them walking the perimeter of the outer walls that were 500 m from the inner walls. The people in the new housing area were finally safer and the guards in those neighborhoods were moved to the outer walls. Less guards were on the inner walls as we still kept some there and the watch towers. Our Treasury was holding steady while the Builder's kept transmuting metal to gold each day.

Many of the Albuquerque folks were signing up to become Elites to assist on the walls and patrols. We decided to also have grand meeting where all would be in attendance and swear loyalty to the Kingdom and the safety of the people. We will have everyone acknowledge me as the King, and adopt a monarchy from here on. Elites will be placed all thru out the Throne room to read minds while Ki'Diera watches and reads the aura's of the crowd, looking for future trouble makers.

We decide we can not afford more issues like the last, it has given us a wake up call. Going to a Monarchy will probably not sit well with everyone, but these are now my lands. All here agree it is my doing that we have these safe lands and as such all must conform to the rules. They have the option to leave if they so choose, no one will be forced to stay, but they will have to leave the safe zone. It is a harsh judgement, but this is one of those my way or the highway rules being put into effect. Our entire survival is at stake here, being tolerant is one thing, allowing others to try and destroy what we have is not going to be allowed and crushed before it happens.

Then came the topic of taming the creatures. Many had the ability now, thanks to Cindy, Ki'Diera and Julie's 12 man teams. I am still making rings and bracelets, or was up until this incident. Having some of the Dobermans with us would be nice as they can sniff out trouble, and some of the Rock Golems stationed at the main gates would be nice too, as they can block the gates better than a tank. Then the debate started low tech versus high tech, and in the end it was a draw as we all agreed, each has it's uses and we will have to adapt accordingly.

I am feeling a strange feeling now, almost lust like. It is coming from my three wives. With the new soul link upgrade I can now sense and feel what they feel, and it is especially strong coming from Ki'Diera.

“Your Majesty a new group of Survivors have arrived from the North. 136 of them arrived this morning, Master Rick Hanson is overseeing them now.” He reports."They say, they received out transmission with our coordinates, but could not transmit out, and decided to journey here."

“So news is spreading and they are coming to us, finally......” I say to the good news.”Make sure they get vested first before we give them housing”

“Already done your majesty, the new questionnaire's that Doc Mayes made, was used to full effect. Four of the individuals were turned away and escorted from the safe zone by force.” He reports

"It is a shame we must resort to these tactics, but we can not allow another incident like that, good work Alexander and thank you.” I say to him

“It is my pleasure you Majesty”, Alexander says and then leaves after a bow and a salute.

We eat lunch that has been prepared by Annabelle for us, she is fussy about my meals being perfect. I enjoy her meals each day. We finish up lunch silently all feeling a glowing warmth within, Julie heads out first to the Council Room to do her work. Cindy then heads out to train with her apprentices. And Ki'Diera then leaves to discuss matters with her Father, to clear up any last details that may hinder him in any way.

I sit there quietly sipping on a cup of coffee and watch those around me. I simply observe them as they go about their day to day lives living as best they can now. I close my eyes to observe my wives, testing this new ability.

Cindy's POV

I left the Cafeteria, feeling giddy and happy. It was a good long night of being one. No inhibitions. I am moving towards the courtyard and find my apprentices gathered, all 11 of them,” *****************” one says to me.

“Hello everyone, I see everyone is here, lets start with the new spell we tried the other day ok?”, I say to them.

“************************”, says another female apprentice.

“You have to try or you can not gain the skill right?” I ask her.

A little doubt shows on her face but she nods.

“Alright, follow my motions and repeat what I do”, I instruct them. I lead each to try to perform a Firewall explaining in details the procedure, how to let the mana flow and how to will the wall into existence. Several succeed and others fail, but they keep trying over and over. After an hour all but 2 have successfully performed Firewall and gained the new skill or improved it.

“Do not worry, you will get it tomorrow for sure, you were close”. I say to the two reassuringly.

Sigh, so much to do, all these people need to be placed into Professions, fed and housed. Let's see, security nees improving. Rick can use these guys. Oh she will be a perfect Farmer, she has all the qualifications. I think as I sift thru all the new arrival forms that were given out to the Albuquerque people to list name, occupations and profession desires from the listed available Professions

Tonight's meeting should go well, I have no doubt about that, everyone will accept Scott as the King, I just hope we have no more troublemakers, please god no more troublemakers. Hmm this is an interesting Profession, Entertainer, wonder what that is about? EH? No way, Female Escort?and there is two of them? Oh my god, better not let Cindy see that, she will freak.

“Is this what it is really about Father?” I ask him now amused, my Father wants Scott to accept him as his Father, hahaha My Father sigh.

“Dad huh? Ha!” I say to no one.

I guess I could call him Father or Dad, he is after all, my father in law now. And it has a nice ring to it too. I should try that.

As I get up from the King's Table, a light appears before me, it shimmers and emerging from it, a beautiful women stands there, she looks badly wounded, as she sees me her eyes grow wide in fear and then collapses to the ground.
