Book 2 C4 Welcome! and good bye

I sat there in a daze, light headed, Julie was cradling me, Doc Snow had a worried expression on his face monitoring me. I made the three rings back to back no rest, which Doc Snow took into possession and put on the three critically wounded people.

I felt myself blacking out, but was able to hold on. Some had witnessed me making the rings and now many gathered around me, bombarding me with questions.

“Look! Her leg is growing back!” someone cried out in disbelief.

“Oh my god this is real, is it?”

“It's a miracle God is helping us!”

“Oh shut the fuck up god is not helping us you idiot.”

"The Heavens sent us angels!"

And so it went, several devout began praying in front of me. I did not care right now, I just wanted to rest.

“Please help my son!”

“Give me my wife back!!”

“Save my husband!”

“Bring back my daughter!”

More and more began to gather. Until,

“ENOUGH!!” Julie yells in rage her mana barrier goes up pushing the crowd of people off their feet. Many flying thru the air.

“He is not a God and can bring back the dead, he is not an Angel who can grant wishes!” Julie says in a threatening voice,” Leave my Husband alone! Here is here to help you!”

She glares menacingly at the crowd staring down each person till they all back off looking at her with fear. Once she is satisfied she removes her barrier and grabs me again holding me tight, protectively.

I zone in and out over the next few minutes, quiet hushed whispers continue and people throw glancing looks at me.

I feel myself being lifted and carried by some people and then put into a Hum-Vee, Julie gets in with me, we are in the back seat. Corporal Stinson takes his post as gunner, not sure who is driving, maybe Harold Spencer. The Drive takes as long back as it took to get here, maybe longer even I really do not know. I hear over the radio, Sergeant First Class Montgomery Radioing ahead to the Keep, to prepare for massive incoming of survivors. He goes into details, Rick is on the other end. He will take care of things I think as I begin to drift off again.

Scott?

Cindy? honey you ok?

Scott are you alright? You seem weakened...

I am just tired......so tired...

Scott made 3 rings back to back for Doc Snow to save some people, it took eveything he had to make them so fast.

Sister we are a family!

Indeed we are.

I drift off again, hearing things in the background. I feel myself being lifted up again and carried, I look up and see we are at the Keep, many people are rushing out into the courtyard, some stop to see me in my condition, but I can not make out any words.

I feel myself then being lay'ed down on a soft bed, it is comfortable, Julie begins to undress me, removing my uniform. After removing my uniform, she undresses herself and lays in bed next to me, cuddling up close. I let myself sleep.

I awake, I feel rested and look about, Ki'Diera had joined us it seems and was sleeping soundly next to me on my left, while Julie was cuddled on my right against me. Once again both beautiful faces greet me with their angelic sleeping looks and I count my blessings. I look about the room and see Cindy is sitting at a vanity, seems Doc Snow released her from the infirmary or she simply left, probably the latter.

She was brushing her hair looking into the mirror and staring at me. I stare back at her, no words are spoken or thought as we gaze at each other. I feel a stirring in my heart at her gaze, something was wrong, I could feel it.

She slowly turns to me, a sad look is in her eyes. “Scott, we are cursed” she says and a tear begins to form in her eye and rolls down her cheek.

I hear it, but do not understand the meaning behind the words that would cause tears.

“Cursed” I say quietly.

She simply nods.

“Can you explain?” I ask.

She sighs and then thinks, she turned off her mind link so I can not hear her. Then she looks back at me,” when the children are born of the three, love will turn to hate and hate will make you kill the one you love, such is the curse of love.” she says as if reciting something.

I sigh, now understanding.”So when all three of you give birth, your love will turn to hate and you will wind up killing me”.

She nods as tears flow freely now, but says nothing, “but that is not all,” she says her head is now bowed down in shame.

“Is there more?” I ask.

“You, Julie and me are under some kind of spell too”. She says slowly as if she does not want to say it.

“A spell?” I ask.

“Yes it is some kind of love spell” She says.

Then she cries holding her hands to her face, and says the word I dreaded,” our love is not real.”

I lay there looking at her stunned and in disbelief. I know what I feel for her, and it is real. I can feel it is real.

“What about Ki'Diera” I ask slowly

“I do not sense the presence of a spell on her” she says still crying.

I slowly make my way out of bed, towards her. I am drawn to her wanting to hold and comfort her. Ki'Diera stirs and awakens, Julie also stirs at the crying of Cindy.

“What is going on? Why is Cindy crying?” Julie asks then, as I keep inching to Cindy who keeps on crying.

“It seems we are cursed and you, Cindy and Scott are under a spell of forced love” Ki'diera says quickly.

“You were awake?” Cindy asks now looking up, tears still falling.

“Of course I was.” Ki'Diera says simply.

“Curse..... what is this about a curse?” Julie now asks her tone is uncertain.

“It seems when all three of us give birth, we will try to kill Scott because our love will turn to hate of him.” Ki'Diera answers once more.

I am now by Cindy and hold out my arms to her, she quickly jumps into my arms and buries herself within my grasp. I hold her tightly to me” I do not know about the spell, but I do know I love you Cindy with all my heart, no spell can do that, of that I am certain”.

“I love you too, Scott, but I see the spell it is clear as day to me, I see it”, Cindy says he voice is quivering.

“You mean to tell me we are under some kind of spell to love each other?” Julie asks now in disbelief.

Cindy simply nods to her, holding onto me.

“How is that possible? when did this happen? I mean I have loved Scott for a long, long time now” Julie says in defiance her anger now coming thru.

“Maybe it is a spell to deceive and try to split you up?” Ki'Diera says thinking.

“That may be.....” I say slowly. Puzzle pieces are starting to form in my head and come together. Things are starting to fit where questions always nagged.

“Scott what is it?” Julie asks now staring at me.

"The voice, the dream, us all falling in love, the children, it all fits now.” I say out loud, “Someone wants the children”.

“But why?” Cindy asks

“I do not know yet, but that is the logical answer here....why would he, she or they make you three go God mode when in danger, the prophecy said the children will never come to harm, and once they are born they want all four of us out of the way” I say to them, now my anger is starting to show.” Why else put a curse that is a suicide, think about it, if Cindy kills me she kills all of us due to the Soul Link right?”

They all nod agreeing realizing what is going on now.

“That is just mean.....” Julie says in shock.

“Then you think our love is real?”, Cindy asks almost begging for the right answer.

“Yes of course it is real honey! There is no way in hell it can not be real. What is in my heart can not be fake...no way in hell it is fake.” I reply adamantly” I may have doubted it before but over the last month even if it had been fake at one point, I know now, now it is really real, spell or not.”

“You know, you are right, even if the spell did bring us together, now it is real, I feel that much, if we can somehow break the curse and the spell, but how come is Ki'Diera not included in the love spell?” Cindy asks now.

“That is simple Cindy, we Ny'Har'en do not rely on love to find our mates, love comes later, only the strong attract us. My attraction to Scott is not love, but his strength, but know this, I have come to love him, I can not see my life without him now. “Ki'Diera says strongly.

“Cindy why can you suddenly see curses and spell?” Julie asks with a questioning look.

All of us are struck silent by the question and all stare at Cindy who looks back at us,” I do not know, I woke up and began to see auras and when I inspected the auras, I could see what they were. When I looked in the mirror I saw several auras around me and read them. I saw the curse and the spell on me.”

“She has not been awake since the Were-beast incident when she gained 42 level either.” I say to them,” maybe it is a side effect of the Fire Mage Profession or a new skill she obtained?”

“I checked my Status and by the way saw yours too Scott, Sexual Stamina huh? Really that high? But anyways, yes it is a skill I obtained, when I am not sure, but it is a magical aura reading skill, like Ki'Diera's able to read peoples aura for deceit.” Cindy says.

“But I checked your Status while you slept, it was not there before.” I say to her with a questioning look.

“It is there now........” she says trailing off.

“Ok lets go by the fact it is there and you can see the aura's now. The question is how to remove them....” I say to the group.

“I have no such ability” Cindy says quickly

“Nor do I” Ki'Diera says shaking her head.

“Me neither.” Julie sighs after a delay reading her skills again.

“Ok so we have 8 months to worry about it right? Meaning it does not matter if I upgrade to fortress and the room changes or any other events, we just have to remove the curse and spell.” I say to them.

“Do we really want to remove the spell, what if.....? Cindy asks uncertain now letting the question go unfinished.

“As I said before honey, no spell can make me feel what I feel here and now! I.... love.... you.” I drag the last part of the sentence out to emphasize it.

She nods and grips me tightly again and keep nodding.

I look at my watch it is after 9 am, “If we want breakfast we need to hurry.” I say to them. We quickly get dressed I have to put my uniform on manually as Julie took it off, leaving me in my underwear, the rest get dressed as well.

We hurry to the Cafeteria and find it is packed with people, as we enter everyone begins to clap and stand up facing us.

“His Majesty, King Scott Smith and his Queens have arrived! All Hail the King!” Alexander proclaims.

“What in the hell is this Alexander” I demand.

“Your Majesty with the influx of all the new people it is important to impart the chain of command on them, you are the King and protocol dictates that all be made aware of such.” He says with a bow and smile on his face.

“Alright Alexander you know best” I say to him and head for the breakfast line, Cindy Julie and Ki'Diera follow closely.

“Ow!” Ki'Diera Cries out and I turn to see her drawing her sword facing the blue robed mage from Farmington.

“Ki'Diera?” I ask concerned and see the rage in her eyes.

“He pinched my butt, Scott I will kill him for this insolence.” She says her nostrils flaring in anger.

“Hey sweetie what is this reaction for, you are a beautiful creature, how about we go have some fun?” he says to her in a lewd voice.

I step in front of him, and with a cold and threatening tone”Mister, that is my wife you are talking to, if you ever lay a hand on her again I will ensure you regret ever being born!”

“Oh my apologies your kingship, I did not realize you get to hog all the beauties for yourself” He says with a sarcastic voice.

“My King?” Alexander asks, his sword is drawn.

“Let it go Alexander” I say to him Then look at Wilfred,” I give you one warning only, ever lay a hand or try to approach any of my wives ever again and I will have you removed from the premises, also know if I get any complaints about lewd behaviors....oh fuck it, Alexander throw him out, he is banished, fuck this shit I do not give a fuck if he dies or not, throw this piece of shit out now!”

“GUARDS!” Alexander cries leveling his sword to Wilfred.

“You can not do this!” Wilfred cries out in terror, understanding what just happened.

“I can and I did you piece of shit, people like you make me sick. Oh and make sure he is escorted out of the 5 km zone too” I see Bre'Tirgan nod with a smile and issues orders to several Ny'Har'en by him as they in turn stand next to Wilfred. I turn and resume getting my breakfast not giving him a second thought, as he is dragged forcefully screaming at the top of his lungs and thrown out the front gates then dragged by the Ny'Har'en to the 5 km mark.

Several of the Farmington people begin to clap again as Wilfred is gone

“Thank god that asshole is gone”

“What an ass, he kept trying to force himself on the girls back at the mall.”

Several comment.

“And why did you all not do anything about it then?” I stare at them in disgust.

Many look away in shame as I go to a table and begin to eat my breakfast with my lovely wives, Julie, Cindy and Ki'Diera who all look at me in admiration.
