《The antagonist's daughter》Volume 3: Chapter 42

Seeing her escape with her friend, a grin appeared on his face. That girl was still as cautious of him as ever.
For the past few months he had spend with her, every time he tried to use charm magic on her, she would never fail to escape. It was either that she just sensed something wrong or KNEW that he was doing something to her, just like how he was about to use magic on her friend. Alas.
Laughing in amusement to himself, Ran leisurely followed after Charlotte. Either way, it didn’t seem like he would be bored while waiting for her to grow her full potential.
==
“You talk to her.”
“Why me? If you really want to talk to her, then just go.”
“Hey, don’t push me!”
When Charlotte opened her eyes, she saw that a group of girls had at some point gathered around her, whispering amongst themselves.
“Can I help you with something?”
Since they had completely different scores, Leila and Charlotte were placed in different classes. With no one to talk to, she took this chance to take a short nap.
Constantly being on alert for any surprise attacks, she hadn’t been able to get a good night’s sleep for the past few months. The one responsible for all this is Ran, of course. Even though their dorms were in two completely different blocks, she still couldn’t get rid of that annoying feeling of being constantly watched.
Just thinking about that guy gave her a headache.
“My name is Ana, since we’ll be sharing the same class for a few years, let’s get along.”
Dressed in the academy’s uniform; a navy blue skirt and a white and light blue blazer and a brooch identifying her as an S-class student. A blue ribbon was attached to the brooch, signifying that she had the water elemental affinity, unlike herself, who had yet to receive her elemental affinity classification.

Charlotte just casual replied back, “Same here, my name is Charlotte Ionesse.”
But upon hearing the girl’s name, the atmosphere around them seemed to have taken a strange turn.
“O-oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were THE Charlotte Ionesse. Ha-ha- please forgive our rudeness.”
Without waiting for Charlotte to reply, they quickly scattered around the classroom, avoiding eye contact with her as if she were some kind of plague.
(….what just happened?)
Seriously, all she did was tell them her name. She already checked in the mirror and she looked just fine. Leila didn’t say anything either. Then…
(….it’s either that another rumor was spread or the problem just lay in the original Charlotte.)
Yeah…no. if they didn’t want to talk to her, that would be their problem, not hers. Whatever the case, as long as it didn’t interfere with her planned schedule, she wouldn’t pay it any mind.
(I just hope Leila’s doing better.)
There are a lot of Leo fan(girl)s here after all. Since the moment she set foot within the academy, she could constantly hear Leo’s name from both boys and girls. He was a nice guy that anyone could get along with, but she really couldn’t see why people would be gossiping about him nonstop.
Speaking of gossips….
“A-are you serious? That’s His highness Leo’s fiancé?”
“I heard she had the highest score amongst all the newly enrolled students, and she isn’t even twelve yet! You don’t think she used her connection, did she?”
“Shhh! What’ll you do if she hears you? Don’t you know what kind of person she is?”
“W-what?”
“A friend of mine once met her at his highness’s party, apparently she ordered her lackey’s to make sure that other girls stayed away from him and used such extreme methods.”

“Heeh? But I thought that was Marionette Von Lukedius. Doesn’t she also attend the academy?”
“Oh my god, you don’t think those two will start a war or something, right?”
…she thought she was going to hear something interesting. She thought wrong. Did they think she was deaf or something? She could hear them loud and clear. And what did they mean her lackeys?? Never once after she took over this body did those ‘lackeys’ of her visit her, so naturally she didn’t even know she had any to begin with. In fact, she hadn’t met any of the people who the original Charlotte usually hung out.
Just as she was contemplating on who the original Charlotte’s ‘friends’ were, the door to the classroom opened. A tall, middle-aged man entered in the academy’s professor’s uniform and had a rather stern face. For some reason, he reminded her of professor steins, though a lot older.
Never mind. She should just focus on the lessons, continue her trainings and occasionally meet up with the other three, live peacefully and quietly, slowly erasing her presence from others. Oh, and let’s not forget to avoid that pedo as much as possi-
“Lotte~ looks like we’re in the same class. Let’s get along~”
“Pff-!”
(TF is he doing here!?)
Just as she was planning on how to avoid him, the moment she turned to look at her right, she saw an annoyingly familiar face smiling at her.
(F***! I forgot he scored high enough to attend the elite classes! DAMNIT! I should have just purposely scored lower!)
While he kept smiling at her, she looked at him with annoyance, her lips slightly twitching, before turning her gaze back to the front of the class.
(I don’t know him, don’t look, I don’t know him, don’t look.)
While she ignored him and focused her gaze to the front of the classroom, Ran kept waving at her with a bright smile plastered on his face, catching the attention of everyone in the classroom, even the professor, as they looked at Ran and charlotte back and forth with a strange expression.
(I want to kill this pedo….)
