《The antagonist's daughter》Volume 2: chapter 32

“KKRRRRRRR!!!”
Unlike the hissing sound it had been previously making, the gigantic snake now started using magic and letting out ear piercing cries.
Charlotte was almost at her limit and her body felt as though it was starting to crumble down. Her magic didn’t seem to have run out yet, but she didn’t have the strength to cast any spells.
Puff Puff’s speed was still the same and since he arrived by her side she did have an easier time than before. The damage she had previously received was starting to bite down on her and blood flowed down from her lips. The internal damage was way beyond her to endure and each time they moved she let out a few groans.
There was also the poison that was on the snake’s scales. Her right shoulder began to feel numb and she had to make use of her left hand.
(How much longer!?)
She bit down on her lips to keep her consciousness from fading away.
Another barrage of poisonous attacks shot towards them.
(We can’t keep this up forever)
She tried to search in her memories for a stronger spell. A spell that could deal a lot of damage in one go.
(There is one, but….)
She had never tried (or practiced) this spell before. There was the chance it could backfire so she didn’t want to use it recklessly.
(Since I’m running low on battery, I might as well give it a final shot!)
“Puff Puff, bring me as high as you can. {Hear me, oh ruler of chaos, bring forth thy curse to slay mine enemies*VoidStorm}!”
The two leaped into the air until they almost touched the ceiling. A dense amount of black mana gathered in front of her and a large magic circle as black as ink began to form.

Unknown to Charlotte, but Puff Puff sensed the danger of the spell and the change in its mistress’s eyes. Her black hair began to emit a strange sinister purple light and her blue eyes became a glowing violet.
-Zzzzt!
A crackling sound erupted and several huge pillars came raining down. Everything shook and each blast created a hole in the snake’s body. The ground underneath crumbled and the snake fell down with it.
The two went down carefully to see if it was dead or still alive.
Underneath, they found several of the snake’s body scattered around. They were still wriggling, but after a minute or two stopped all together.
(So where’s the exit?)
She frantically looked around, but everything seemed to still be tight shut. No doors no windows no nothing not even stairs that could lead up. Still mounted on top of Puff Puff, they moved around until they found a door that stood at least 5 meters tall. On it were strange carvings and symbols similar to the ones that were above the ground earlier.
(The exit?)
But, no matter how much they pushed or tried to pull, it wouldn’t budge. Even Puff Puff didn’t seem to have any ideas.
They stepped back a little and Charlotte tried to study the door. She carefully looked at the carvings on the door’s frame and unconsciously, her lips began to read the symbol she herself didn’t understand. This was a feeling that she hadn’t felt since the first time she arrived here. Her body and mouth would move on its own, but strangely she could understand what she was saying. It was the same as when she first tried to learn magic. Her body automatically accepted.
Her words came to a stop. The symbols on the door’s frame started emitting a purplish light and slowly began to open.

(--This is worse than that humongous snake!!!)
There, on the other side of the door, a coffin openly hung vertically in the air. Surrounded by layers upon layers upon layers of magic circles, inside laid a pale looking young man with his red glowing eyes looking straight into hers.
(Crap! I actually forgot about this dude!)
Pale skin, red glowing eyes, sharp fangs sticking out from the corner of his lips, long silver hair and a face that could melt a maiden’s heart.
[Ghost dungeon’s prisoner]
[Prince of the vampire clan]
[Traitorous sinner]
These were the titles he possessed in the game.
In the game, after the hero party had defeated the snake and final boss, they found another hidden room. This story had 4 directions it could go.
Ignore him Curse at him Converse with him and become enemies after freeing him (after he somehow hypnotizes you) Converse with him and free him and become allies or friends
(My choice? Leave him the heck alone!)
She wanted to leave, but she couldn’t even avert her gaze from his. Her body felt paralyzed. Just like that time.
She tried to urge Puff Puff to take her away, but it felt like their telepathic connection had been severed momentarily.
Then, a sharp voice made her heart shiver
“Little girl, are you not going to set me free?”
(Like hell I will!)

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
